Depends on what part of KC he was in. There are definitely some shitty parts. KC has a pretty huge metropolitan area though. I grew up in a suburb and liked it pretty well. Beats living in shitty Oklahoma. He should try out Tulsa sometime...
Michael Canty. I just watched him do this routine in a special on Netflix and he was on the Missouri side. OP is a great part of the KC area. I love the revitalized downtown, Crossroads, Plaza, and BBQ like anyone. That said, I like paved roads, good school districts, real estate and a lack of meth labs and crack houses.
I live in Overland Park, and most of it is a good place. Trust me. I live in a nice upper class apartment complex (the kind with separate buildings) with a lake and plenty of good people, and I love it here. Plus, in OP is Blue Valley, one of the best school districts in the U.S.
LightningHawkz I was gonna say. Overland Park and Olathe have some really nice-to-live parts. I grew up in Olathe and it was pretty decent. Where my grandparents lived in KCMO was NOT a good area. Over by Swope Park...eesh.
Kc has some awesome parts! WESTPORT... Is where alot of the night clubs and bars are, Alot of crime and looks kinda dirty but ITS SOOO MUCH fun, You cant leave kc without seeing its local bands. Places like The Riot Room, Davey's Uptown, Buzzard Beach.... Power and light can be fun but its full of Whores and Douche bags, There is BBQ places everywhere! There is Worlds of fun, and the Nelson Atkins Art Museum. Not to Mention The Legends and Zona Rosa... KCMO and KCK have alot to offer if you know where to look. Crown Center has alot to offer as well, Alot of really good events happen there and expensive places to eat. We also have one of the greatest Art Institutes in the world... The Kansas City Art Institute... Kc is all about Art and music, We are also known for our Jazz Culture and there are places such as The Drum Room and other Jazz bars/ Clubs all around. We have one of the best Chicken Places ever! If you have ever been in kck than you know what place I am Talking about, GO CHICKEN GO! lol ...and lets not forget Town Topic Hamburgers. We have Three Sports teams in Kc, The Kansas City Royals, The Chiefs and Sporting KC. Now The Royal and The chiefs arent the best teams but sporting Kc however is one of the best soccer teams right now. We are known for one of the loudest City's at Football games and in concerts. We are the city which hosts Strange music and Tech Nine. Its such a shame that Louis CK had such a bad Exp. in Kansas City, He most likely did a show in power and light... such a stuck up area!

No mountains in KC, but I don't see his stoned fat ass climbing a hill let alone a mountain anytime soon. I guess fine art, music (blues, jazz, and the site one of the largest annual Rock festivals in the country "Rockfest"), major league sports (Chiefs and Royals), nightlife to include the legendary comedy club Standford & Sons, several riverboat casinos, a revitalized downtown entertainment district, 3-major amusements parks (World's of Fun, Oceans of Fun, and Schlitterbahn Water Park) wide-open city parks (Swope Park-2nd largest city park to Central Park in NYC), tons shopping (country Club Plaza, Zona Rosa), beautiful boulevards (2nd only to Rome), many fountains (2nd only to Paris), and the world's greatest barbeque (2nd to NONE!). I guess that is not enough. Okay Louis... "Kansas City is a Shit-Hole" that's your opinion... mine is your FULL-of-Shit!

He is without a doubt the most fearless comic even more so than Norm. Sorry you didn't like KC... Since I saw you at Sprint Center in 2017... hope that was a better trip for you. I grew up there.. KC sure beat the shit out of boston, nyc, bmo,philly, LA, phoenix and shitcago and d.c. Been to them all. KC WAS A GREAT TOWN.. Now, the people have moved out of the city to escape the thugs
