Did you leave the gimbal cover on? Looks like a lot of flare. And also I wanted to know if you edited the audio. Ther crickets seem louder than your bike which I thought was odd. Not criticizing, Just curious
Fantastic demonstration. Is the sound of the insects recorded from the mic on the motorcycle or a stationary mic on the ground? It all worked so well together.
Nice! Did you adjust the height and angle during the shot or did mavic change it automatically? Because it's much higher at the end of the video. Thanks for sharing!
hi man awesome , where are you in china ? and how did u get it this fast i paid on 27 sep stil didnt received it , and am buying it for the same reason videos while riding ,,,cheers
Mark One we are located in Hong Kong and it is just 10km to DJI head office. Mavic is a master piece of art that takes time to build and DJI is working 24x7 on it. I hope you enjoy your riding with mavic. Ps: practice flying mavic in opening area with no trees or anything that with damage your mavic. There are anti-crash sensors in front of mavic only. My mavic has almost crash on a tree when it was following me at my left hand side
sgtmjm yes, the video quality is the best with the sun behind. However, there are many people worry about the video quality problem that generated by the gimbal cover so that I did this video footage to show the lens flare
great video, thanks! and nice bike! Is there an option in the settings, that the Mavic will follow you only from behind and not from the side? I am asking for me, I will try it with my bike in the forest, and then it's better when the Mavic fly behind me and not on my side.
Yes, of course. Magic follows you from behind only except you activates the "fly around" feature. This video includes both "visual tracking" and "fly around" features. My Mavic keep fly around me and followed me at the same time. One more thing, if Mavic follows you from behind, the anti-crash sensor in front of the mavic will protect the drone from crashing on anything.
Rijk van Wel yes, you are right. There is no coating on the cover and I am sure that the video quality can be affected. However, the camera is very close to the ground. When I landed the mavic after the flight, the cover was scratched by a stone on the ground. If there were no cover, the camera or gimbal should be broken
olá tudo bem , viajo sempre de moto, e comprei um drone agora, para registrar minhas viagens, muito bacana suas imagens, já estou inscrito no seu canal do youtube, valeu ...
That just confirmed my suspicion that despite not being as stable in hover mode, the GoPro Karma delivers SMOOTHER and BETTER QUALITY image, if your main concern is aerial photography/cinematography. The DJI Mavic is a technological marvel, but I wonder if that tech-focus has become it's own worst enemy: 1. The camera cannot shoot slow motion, nor does it do well under high humidity and under direct sunlight. The lens is simply too small. 2. The Gimbal system is also too small and gives way to Jello effect. 3. The footage has way too much noise in dark regions, and in my opinion, has a non-filmic, rectilinear look, despite the more advanced "rack-focus" abilities. I think if you are a filmmaker, and your main concern is footage and possibly updating your camera system in time, the Karma is the way to go. Despite some of it's negative reviews, what I keep hearing is that the few modes they do have create beautiful smooth, non-jello shots! In the end, isn't that what we are after as filmmakers? And I would love to shoot slow-motion, let's say 2.7k 48 fps; if for nothing else to insure that I can create a smooth shot after post. This is a flexibility I do not have with the DJI limited 30 fps mode. My end conclusion is: YES, DJI has an optical avoidance feature that, in some reviews, has been revealed to have glitches. Why not just get the $150 GoPro warranty (something DJI doesn't offer) and your system is completely insured? I am not a GoPro advocate, I am just an independent filmmaker who owns a GoPro, and want to let others know why there is a good argument for purchasing a Karma.
I used to be a big fan of GoPro but.... I mean they are great camera manufacturer only.... If you like the quality of GoPro, you can consider the Storm Anti-Gravity www.helipal.com/storm-drone-antigravity-gps-flying-platform-rtf-naza-v2.html It can fly much longer than a Krama.
2ndEarth surely DJI will just release firmware updates to improve software as they are always doing to improve their hardware. GoPro are great cameras but they forget their software. I have had countless glitches with my GoPro cameras. But my inspire is faultless. I will always buy an action camera from GoPro but my drone I will get from the class leader, DJI.
you call that Enduro? even a chopper can go that fast on that terrain. Does the tracking mode works when you actually go above 10 mph? nice video anyways, gives a nice perspective
eduardo pires the top speed for mavic to follow a bike is around 30mph. One more thing, mavic has anti-crash sensor in front of the drone only. It can crash on a tree if it is not flying forward . If you want a safer solution phantom 4 Pro may be a good choice
I know that is a BMW and is awesome for long rides exploring the back country. Too rich? lol maybe too nouveau riche that just learned to ride a motorcycle
may ask question about dji i have one ( dji / spider 2 ) i wanna ask . could dji cam fly and follow me like your video without internet and if answer yes (how)
Glen Edwards I think it's perfect the way it is. It has the city/town in the distance with the sun glaring through it with the nice calm patches of water with the sun reflecting off of it.
But this actually very dangerous and not safe at all! I mean imagine you are a real enduro biker, unless you are riding in a place with no obstacles like a desert or a road in the middle of huuge flat field, in real life it's totally a nogo: people, trees, houses, gozilla...
TheKeithvidz If the quad is flying sideway like it does most of time in this video obstacle avoidance is usless since it's only a frontal obstacle avoidance...
TheKeithvidz I never said in the video it was not safe, i was talking about the application in real life with common people, in the video he is a professionel, he know what it is doing even he answered in one comment that he almost crashed actually since the quad was flying sideway and there was a tree the avoidance system could not see ;)
magic hour. check
bike. check
this is some gorgeous footage. congrats
no doubt! what helmet cam is this?!
Beautiful sunset and skyline. A calm music would fit very nice on this sequence. Congrats!
Alexis Sackl yes, you are right
I challenged with MAVICPRO, but I could not take pictures like beautiful like you. This video is the best!
Wow that's gorgeous
Did you leave the gimbal cover on? Looks like a lot of flare. And also I wanted to know if you edited the audio. Ther crickets seem louder than your bike which I thought was odd. Not criticizing, Just curious
Fantastic demonstration. Is the sound of the insects recorded from the mic on the motorcycle or a stationary mic on the ground? It all worked so well together.
Bikes & Drones the background noise is come from a part of GoPro video footage :)
That's amazing. The sound track was perfect.
nice scenery
Nice! Did you adjust the height and angle during the shot or did mavic change it automatically? Because it's much higher at the end of the video. Thanks for sharing!
You need to adjust it during the flight. Just move the stick up or down. Very responsive.
awesome!! fantastic video
Thank you
Great location, great bike, great time of day
Great stuff!! which camera settings did you use for the Mavic Pro?
Thanks for that, been looking for a video like this. Want to get a mavic and let it track me during motocross
Very nice cinematic! :O
You're not actually supposed to fly with the plastic cover over the gimbal. It blocks the ventilation to the drone.
pretty nice shot
Thanks for the video.
whats with the.... "Sys Warning ... Check app" ???
I was riding the bike and I don't know what is the warning message. The mavic was working properly anyway.
Jacobo Castro Cristo the problem is on the version of the app. It is not the most updated one
Yeah tried to track some cars and bikes last weekend but they were going too fast. Great video!
I haven't test the top speed of the drone but I think the visual tracking feature will be ok if a car/bike that is running less than 50km/h
hi man awesome , where are you in china ? and how did u get it this fast i paid on 27 sep stil didnt received it , and am buying it for the same reason videos while riding ,,,cheers

thank you ,,is there anyway to get it faster ? i will be in HK next week i live in china Gz do u have wechat account ?
I knew it was HK, those tall buildings make for an easy guess :D
Thinking of buying the Mavic, it seems like an amazing piece of gear.
achei muito bom breve vou comprar um
Great! do you try it faster?
What’s your camera settings ,iso ,shutter etc.
This is so awesome, I am getting one!
beautiful
Thank you
Why was it so unstable, there was no wind, you should have your drone looked at
SOLD. I want this now.
I suppose it's not possible to lock the controller to stop inputs to the sticks?? Would be a handy feature.
good idea! it will be great if there is a "hold" button for the remote controller.
i noticed that the tracking mode of this is not as good as yuneec typhoon h, the yuneec can follow you up 50+ mph.
Nice test. Why do you ride ride foward the sun ? Best quality with the sun behind, is not it ?
For tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun
Ok. Could you retry the same sequence with the sun behind ?
sgtmjm yes, the video quality is the best with the sun behind. However, there are many people worry about the video quality problem that generated by the gimbal cover so that I did this video footage to show the lens flare
ok. Copy. Good job by the way.
great video, thanks! and nice bike! Is there an option in the settings, that the Mavic will follow you only from behind and not from the side? I am asking for me, I will try it with my bike in the forest, and then it's better when the Mavic fly behind me and not on my side.

You should have taken the plastic cap off! The image quality would have been a lot better I think (especially when filming into the sun).

mingoucz we sell spare parts and we are happy to see people flying their mavic without gimbal cover :)
olá tudo bem , viajo sempre de moto, e comprei um drone agora, para registrar minhas viagens, muito bacana suas imagens, já estou inscrito no seu canal do youtube, valeu ...
How fast were you going? Seems like every time the mavic started to catch up, you would slow down.
Camera WithWings the speed of mavic is around 50km/h
amazing!
Nice
wow - very cool. where is that?
Hong Kong

Does the drone have an FPV system?
Yes, you can select FPV system in the option accessories.
thanks for the info, looks enticing. 30 min battery life is a huge advantage! Though I fail to see a stabilizing gimbal option.

Did you color correct this video before you posted it?
The raw footage is good enough
you call that Enduro? even a chopper can go that fast on that terrain. Does the tracking mode works when you actually go above 10 mph? nice video anyways, gives a nice perspective
eduardo pires it's a BMW R1200GS that designed for old man who are too old and too rich for real off road. Do you get it?
eduardo pires the top speed for mavic to follow a bike is around 30mph. One more thing, mavic has anti-crash sensor in front of the drone only. It can crash on a tree if it is not flying forward . If you want a safer solution phantom 4 Pro may be a good choice

where was this shot ?

Nice One! ;-)
Thank you
Sick!
may ask question about dji
i have one ( dji / spider 2 ) i wanna ask . could dji cam fly and follow me like your video without internet and if answer yes (how)
I'm thinking you are talking about Inspire 2. It's no ActiveTrack function on it
having it orbit you while riding would have been so much cooler...
Glen Edwards I think it's perfect the way it is. It has the city/town in the distance with the sun glaring through it with the nice calm patches of water with the sun reflecting off of it.
Darth Vader got a drone.
Still phantom is better
Not by much, and the Mavic is much more convenient.
and mavic is cheaper
Plus the 1.4 miles of extra range the Mavic has over the Phantom.
seriously what is that noise ?? cool video but learn how to edit sound
Yes, the sound in this video really suck!
very slow, take it faster
But this actually very dangerous and not safe at all! I mean imagine you are a real enduro biker, unless you are riding in a place with no obstacles like a desert or a road in the middle of huuge flat field, in real life it's totally a nogo: people, trees, houses, gozilla...

wonder if u researched that after my post. The biker as u imply use in a safe way.
