Supreme is such an economic hazard company tbh. The whole company and similar to those generate unnecessary trends
And charging massive prices for it too. But "Supreme Bros" were the first Crypto & NFT Bros that'll defend it until they DIE, even though ALL of their shit just looks tacky and cheap.

The way I had better crackle polish for some basic generic brand growing up than a luxury brand has right now is Hilarious!!
i think they used to sell it for like 5 - 8 bucks along with those neon spikeball earrings and friendship bracelets with disney channel characters! probably target and claire's

Same! One of the few times I'll happily say that Sally Hansen performs better than the expensive stuff. My old Sally Hansen crackle polish still works after 15 years of owning it! And, it doesn't crackle the base layer, either. 😂

Supreme is a hypebeast brand. They stick their logo on everything and people will buy it and resell it for more.

To be fair supreme is very limited edition. They only release items once. So it’s kind of a collectable item. Some people have fashion collectables and some may have game collectibles (like pokemon)

im just not a fan of it and its not my taste.
i have a dislike towards the culture around modern streetwear in general because the aesthetics of it were pioneered by working class people, specifically black Americans, and it was cool and anti-establishment, and it was something unique and different. it also made interesting statements about class and racism in the fashion industry imo. now that streetwear culture has become so steeped in luxury and exclusivity, it has quite literally joined the same establishment it was originally against. the current state of streetwear is now like the banksy of the fashion world (and i do not mean that as a complement)
i specifically also dislike supreme because i personally think the idea of the hype around the product being simply just the scarcity and price to be quite vapid (i’m a painting major with a minor in art history so of course i will be biased towards aesthetics though) the laziness being intentional almost makes it worse too!
but i mean i used to rly hate modern art and now i love it (it’s my favorite era to study) so maybe someday my opinion will change, but i also think while fashion is a type of art, the industry is also different and its own unique thing
simply, half the reason i buy your polishes is because of the quality and care put into your packaging. not only am i keeping and using for other things the collection boxes, but i also made a lil display case for the empty polish boxes with unique designs.
with that in mind, these brands are basically garbage to me, with basic colors, low polish quality, and no appeal in the packaging
2:20 Just want to say that tops like this are actually harder for me, someone with autoimmune issues that attack the hands, to open. I open my stuck nail polish caps with a jar opener and these serrated tops just tear away at the silicone grip. My favourite almond milk brand recently changed their caps to this and I’m very unhappy about it as was my scratched, red hand. 😭 I really hate the “large, decorative cap covering a serrated thin cap” thing brands do. Gimme the large cap by itself please, or at least something that won’t destroy my assistive device.

Ive cut my hands on these lids so many times they are a literal hazard for me it happens 80% the time
I used to live in the LA area and I worked about a block from a Supreme store. Thankfully, my building was across the street from Supreme. On new release date, the line to get in would stretch down the street with bouncers and people with headsets, etc… it is such a douchey LA brand that is very over hyped and over rated. The people in line would go nuts and the noise was deafening when the doors opened.

I think the crackle polish is supposed to have a thinner layer to get the best effect. Not sure if that would’ve saved the mani but I do remember that was the trick to getting it to look good with the crackle polish I wore in the mid 2000s. When it comes out right it’s an interesting look! I’m ready for it to make a comeback 😂
Now Cristine has to make a HoloTaco crackle to redeem the 2000s vibes and apologize for the occular crime we all witnessed here

This is just silly, one can find a dupe in a simple shop. Pretentious for sure. The brands today stick their name on all makeup and art supplies. Like crappy Gucci pencils. 😏

@@monroerobbins7551 Geriatric creme polishes are easy to find. Be it a simple street shop or a beauty store for the cheapest price. I have used nail polish in art, aka marbling on a paper cutting mat for a 5A page depicting a Greek marble temple interior with Athena inspired by Roman polychrome marbles. Came out magnificent as I gave it away framed as a gift. I pretty much bought twelve creme colors for under 20 EUR or 22 Dollars for this art project.

I used to have a crackle polish that was black. When you put the top coat over it made it shine like normal polish. Put a glossy taco on it!
I'd love to see HT take on a crackle polish, as at least we'd know it was decent quality!

just LOOKING at that crackle polish activated my sensory issues lol, and i don't usually have a problem with visuals. it just,,, it reminds me so viscerally of nasty textures, i feel like i'd constantly be cringing and trying to run away from my own nails if i wore it

I've had crackle polish before from better brands than that, and its not really that different a texture to regular polish, perhaps a bit more like a matte top coat texture, and once you've put a regular top coat on its actually smooth to the touch. Even though it looks like it would be lumpy or rough. Can't be sure that's the case with that brand though, just the one I've tried. Its not like how glitter polish or flash reactive polish or those sand textured polishes feel. Those take so many layers of topcoat to feel ok to touch.

I petition for the blue shimmer to now be named Inflatable Lunchbox whenever she releases it.
There's a physical Off-white location where I live and I don't dislike the store layout but it's just kind of hilarious walking in one time with some friends and only seeing like 4 whole racks of anything in the store. But it's not as bad as some other bougie or hype brand stores I've seen. 😂 I walk in to see empty and then walk out empty-handed.
It reminds me more of an art gallery than a fashion store which I’ve learned is kinda the intention, their products are wearable art in a way which I find so much more appealing than normal fashion brands that put out random stuff at insanely marked up prices. Off white also kinda markets its designs as ironic and silly while still being couture and elegant. I think for select few people the polishes are really nice and would be worth it.
@@dropdeadd_ I guess I understand it more if we look at it that way. Still not exactly worth the price they ask for but then again, I'm not the one buying any of it. Just taking a look and experiencimg it.

I just bought a quick drying top coat by Catrice for 3.49 euro and it is fully the same bottle as the Supreme polishes

I think these designer polishes are not meant to be used, instead they are meant to be expensive dust collectors for a shelf

I have OPI crackle polish from about 2002. It's fun for a grungy look. That one sure doesn't pull the polish off though. The one I had was black which is I think nicer.

I honestly dont care about buying expensive hats, bags, nailpolish like its not worth it to me. Many dupes have good quality and quantity.
I would love the crackle milk on beige grey or sepia beige on halloween for decaying mummy wraps. Except I wouldn't buy that brand, but something cheaper.
crackle used to be the thing in the 2010. for two year maybe. now you can't find it ANYwhere.
Stick too OPI for crackle, it crackles lovely and dries soon as it's done

The Tahitian pearl lookin color by Hermés with Reflective Taco looked really beautiful.
The offwhite blue is such a perfect blue but i could not be spending that much on nail polish

Oh, I have dealt with those caps before there’s a nail polish brand. I have to go look at the bottle to tell you the name but it’s sold still but anyway the polish is half decent but the problem is the cap it’s just like that cap to the bottle that you’re showing first it pops off separately and then you have to like try to Nuber it back on to undo it because you’re not gonna try to unscrew that tiny little plastic piece in the way so it’s like a jigsaw puzzle putting the cap back on the little round piece. I’m not a fan either 👊🏾
Here is the brand I’m talking about that has a black lid, but it has that little round tiny thing caught up in the lid itself that round little piece the name is KLEANCOLOR Nail Lacquer it runs from four dollars all the way up to $54 depending on how many you get in a set and that’s for now prices so they’re still selling this but back when I bought it which was like early 2000s it was price way higher, of course but the depending on where this company brand is selling that across-the-board can vary but the price to be honest because if they’re going to like several different parties to sell their polishes, if they’re not selling good, they’re going to like very in price obviously 🙄 besides the emoji I put up there for the ridiculousness about the pricing and everything that goes along with this company and how they go about selling the snowballs, but the polish that I found that I picked up that I could find cause I was looking for it after I wrote the first comment, and I found this one which is funky yellow it’s like a neon yellow and surprisingly it’s still good which I’m shocked but to be honest with you I did Jimmy them a little bit to make them not separate so but that’s not on all of them and I believe this one I didn’t do that on so that’s pretty good that it lasted this long but it is a very thin nail polish but it has a really good pigment to it so if anybody wants affordable depending on what your opinion is about affordable because it runs a game and pricing with this brand of polish, depending on where you buy it from because they have it all over the place. All different types of other companies sell their polish so that means the pricing is going to be all over the place so I would just do your digging defined it but it’s not bad if you want to grab something quick that you might not have that color but just to let you know it’s not the top quality to be very honest, but it truly is half decent but they’re not the best quality that’s for sure I would say they’re in between but nowhere close to being top-notch at all “Especially not as Top notch as your brand Holo 💿📀Taco 🌮 which is very high pigmented and very high-quality polish🫶🏾👊🏾🎨💅🏽💞🫶🏾

seen crackle glazes before, that work much better (smal cracks that look like crazy paving) in the really cheep brands

I had a couple of crackle polishes from Barry M back around 2008 ish. The white even when thicker is just not a good look, looks like nail fungus. But I had one in black which did look cool, and also a silver and a gold and those looked great. Then I was gifted a green glitter crackle polish from a different brand (can't remember the name) and that was meh. It didn't quite crackle as nicely so just looked like poorly applied polish as opposed to an intentional look.
