There really are SO many. This seems to be the best preserved for consumption by the masses. But...this is what he delivered time and time again. I saw him after Sheik Yerbouti and before Tinsel Town. Listening to old shows, to me, makes it obvious that, at a certain point, this kind of perfection in eclectic entertainment was what you would expect from a Zappa band.
don't think that, there are some people with the same creativity as zappa but the music industry and the current state of life makes difficult to see it

Golden moments 6:55 onwards. And... what telling-the-truth lyrics they were ... like "Brown shoes" or "Dumb all Over"... deeply touching .... and funny too "He really needs to squat on the cosmic utensil" lol
And a little Holst in Call any Vegetable - JABFLA Zappa did this a lot. While he had the audience focused on the rock portion, he introduced them to a little Classical. A great way to introduce other music and composers to rock fans. Or even like in BTM. When it is sung, Oh Mien Papa. In the Earths Crust. Did you get that one? Did you get the link?

This is not as cool as the original version but that's okay, it's a fresh take with an excellent crew doing a grand version, and that folks is why we love Frank Zappa! He re-invents himself in every show.
Journalism's kinda scary, and of it we should be weary, wondered what come of Mary 🎸... ..... Stuck in my head for decades without even really knowing what song it come from it
Shout out to Frank Zappa for writing Euphoria-level diss tracks as far back at 1979! "Fuck all them writers with a pen in they hand I'll be more specific so they might understand They can all kiss my ass but it's so grand They best just stay away" In 2024 he'd be saying "stay inside, lames"
"Fuck all them streamers with a mic and a cam I'll target my message so they might understand They can all SMD but yo, it's so slam They bust like Skibidi - yee yee yeeeee"
this is played too fast...loses the swing or soul (probably there's better terms) of the album version. It feels like they're just wanting to get through it. Love the album/s.
One of my biggest regrets is that I'm too young to have ever seen him play live. Thanks for the lifetime of great music Frank
One of the greatest Zappa concerts of all time, and that is saying something!!
I'm agree

One of my absolute favorite Zappa works ❤
I think about half the creativity in the human race died with Zappa.
And the other half didn't know better.

Just to see this composition played live so perfectly is terrifying
That's an excellent performance of this oldie and goodie.
Man ... I love Frank , the coolest guy in Rock Story .
The more I hear Frank, more genial think his music
He still fills me with wonder and joy. Damn do I miss him and I'm grateful that I can see the performances here.
That keyboardist has got it going on.

y yo tambien, siempre
That felt good. Thanks. First Zappa concert about 50 years ago.
"The Royal March" from Stravinsky's "Soldier's Tale" played by the band at the 4:00 minute mark.
Frank would be happy that you know that reference! Flew right over my stupid head
And Bartok's third piano concerto right after!
Thank you teacher!!

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched this amazing stuff

The sound quality on this version of the video is a thousand times beter thank you so much
the instrumental passage after "music is the best..." in this performance is a newly composed session, not the same as the rhythmic vamp in the album
It’s a medley of A Soldier’s Tale by Stravinsky, and Bartok’s 3rd Piano Concerto!

It's nothing about being too young. Just listen to the whole album for the context.

Eastman D ok
That's the genius of Frank. He revamped his compositions...sometimes in the middle of a tour...sometimes night by night.
That's almost part of the appeal. It's as if the whole song is being performed ironically.
Never play a song the same way twice.
