+Fred Zappa Yes, that was the idea, I like listening to Zappa with maximum sound quality posible, so although this concert is published in several versions for years I think a significant improvement from the same audio deserved to be shared with everybody

Ladies and gentlemen, Jorge Navarro is not fooling around. This man transformed a medium quality recording (I own the DVD, I know) of a great show into something so delightful that anyone in their right mind (that's right) would have to consider it one of the top 10 most important and impressive musical documents of the 20th century. I'm not kidding, it's up there with the original rule-bending score of the Rite of Spring, with A Love Supreme, with Duke Ellington's American marriage of African and European influences, with the best work of Varèse, Berg, Ligeti, Messiaen, Reich, and all those other wonderful composers. Hats off to Jorge Navarro, all hail!

Clayton Tharp He’s helped me through some very dark times too, Clayton. Around those times in the 80’s when lots of his stuff was appearing on record store shelves. Especially, for me, the lp, Ship arriving to late...I damaged my hearing listening to that full blast.

Saw this band perform at the Brighton Center epic,, we had traveled down from Scotland just over 1000 mile round trip,, so glad we chose to do it , this was to be my only chance to see a Zappa Band on tour,, sadly he never toured to the U.K. again

1983 when I was 15 heard Joe's Garage and was like WTF!!! Could believe someone made music like this, loved him forever after!!! Anyone that would thumbs down this music doesnt have the ability to thumb their nose at everything!
Joe's garage did it for me when I was 16 couldn't get over the absurdity of sy borg and then I've been listening to as much zappa as possible ever since

Brings tears to my 68-year-old curmudgeon's eyes. Agree best sound, thanks certainly due. Thirty years later I still have yet to see anything better, glad to read that he was present at the Ensemble Moderne's Hamburg performance of Yellow Shark for the twenty minute standing ovation OMG here comes Black Napkins, gotta go must give my full attention! I'M so amazed how these musicians can remember all of he chords, and melodies etc. "I will drink you under the table ... watch me now i'm going to eat the label"
The various bands would sometimes rehearse for eight hours a day, several days a week before a tour. It was their job to be nearly flawless.
@@axelmowmers i was told that for this tour the setlist was composed of one hundred songs every musician had to know by heart. I made a recording of the french "Bourges" venue, which can be found as a bootleg, and which began by this incredible half tempo version of the "Black page".

¡Qué maestría el unirse en esa suite con Stravinsky y Bartok a lo más "Burnt weeny sandwich"!. Yo creo que es el concierto de mi vida, ¡la música de mi vida! ¡ Me siento tan bien cada vez que lo escucho...!Tan sólo me apena que mi hermano nunca llegase a este invento del YT ni mucho menos a oír este concierto con esa calidad. Absolute genius musicians and umanity real life. How do they can remember all of many passage of tones and time without classic music study in composition, is a real mister for me. ! Icon of a no use drugs '80 age of psichedelick movimento.
Robert Martin's talent is unbelievable. The dude sings like one of the Supremes, plays keyboards, and plays sax in a Frank Zappa band. Now that's talented...
It's also interesting to look for the wide shots and see how busy Chad Wackerman is the entire time.
There is so much going on from everyone, it's impossible to catch it all.
