I’d love to see someone give Margot some push back. She’s running around changing people’s memories, forcing people do things they didn’t want to (the dean writing letters.) I’d like to see her or someone else question these actions. She’s headstrong, impulsive, and hot tempered. We could use a voice of wisdom in her ear. I’ve seen some demonstrated by Nathaniel and even a little by Borden.
@@kathrynsovereign979 I believe I would. I view actions like tampering with people’s minds and forcing them to do things they don’t want to as absolutely immoral. When a protagonist - of any gender - is doing these things, I really want at least a debate about it. Maybe another character questioning the action… or maybe the main character, themself doubting the choice or coming to the realization later on that they’ve crossed a line. It’s just the way I’d like to see the story go if I had my preference.
@heatherrose5594 So, you take things very literally when it comes to the stories you read. I don't. I'm not so serious about fantasy stories. They're fantasy. There is another option; don't read something that upsets you. I don't read supposed alpha male type storylines. Women deal with enough aggressive behavior regularly in the real world; I certainly don't want that in my world of escapism. These stories are of a woman who is decisive, unafraid, and a natural leader. There aren't enough stories like this, and it's uncomfortable for some women (and MANY nem) to watch, see, or listen to a story line where the woman is the boss and comfortable with it. They're not used to it. And frankly, people tear women leaders down (many nem and some women, both do this). They attack the way she looks, and call her names. Women are b*tches; men are decisive, etc.
Well said. Also, kathryn, although I'm female I am sick to death of women with nothing but testosterone and no character or moral compass. I wish they'd be their own Alpha Female instead of a carbon Alpha Male.
Omg This book is making me feel so old. Margo is so spoilt and young. She keeps talking about how she won’t let people bully her and can’t understand why Nathanial won’t stand up to them, but she has NEVER had to pay the consequences for her actions. Sure she has had pain, but she’s not had to pay for her own actions and mistakes. She has no idea how incredibly expensive that can be, if not more than she has, or someone she loves.
They act more like high schoolers than university students, which annoyed me a lot in the first book, too. The society boys and their bullying are really immature and the characters in general.
Margo could've put all the senior society boys on a boat out to sea & Borden could've created a storm & struck them down with lightning. And they both would've finished the school year 🎒🏫 😂😂😂
what in the word salad of repeat mixed up chapters/section is this??? really enjoyed the first book, was looking forward to the rest... but his is painful. Giving up, this recording is a MESS!
Cellphones have been around for at least 25 years… and even really poor people have phones. So why are these students running around to find people or sending paper planes instead of texting? There are genealogy websites with documents available for free or on paid contracts. You can do DNA tests. The students don’t have laptops? Not addressed at all. Is this set in 1980? Earlier? What’s the technology level?
@@eefzoutman5143 they had cars, planes, electricity, etc. and apparently only landline phones. That’s why I was wondering if it was set in the 80’s or early 90’s. Like Harry Potter is.
To skip the first repeat and get to Chapter 3 go to 25:00. Chapter 4 starts at 1:09:54.
you are a saint girl! thank you so much for this, i’ve been trying to find where the repeat stops for what feels like forever. 🙏
THANK YOU!!!
And yes I yelled because I'm happy. 😂
Thank you 😊
People like you are like savers
This book keeps jumping back and forth from January 3rd and chapter 1 for an hour
I’m still in the first half, but I think I’d love a book with Borden as the protagonist. I’m much more interested in him than Margot at the moment.

I'll bet you wouldn't say that if she were a male character.

I find it satisfying, she wouldn’t take the bullying, I wish I was like that when it came down to it being done to me
Can you tell me when book 3 will be available, please? Well done.. Excited to continue this series. Steve

Thank you for the book 😊. Also our fl needs some experience to level out all that impulsiveness.
The first hour is wonky but chapter 4 starts on 1:10:00.
That’s series is in my top 3 favorites for all time! Phenomenal writing. Kept me engaged the entire time. I look forward to more of your work.

I wondered the same thing. 😂
Most fantasystories dont have the current technology.

It's set as being before tech and how we had to do it in the old days.
I think it's set in an alternate universe, one where magic is real and college kids don't have technology. Lol. 😅❤
This margot shordy a troll , she gotta gooooo. Shordy does whatever she wants and doesn’t think twice about anything
Then says the rich shouldn't have it easier, but uses her magic the same way.
Where are their cell phones?
❤❤
❤
Too many repeats in the first hour
I agree, I thought it was something wrong with the recording and that it restarted from the beginning
I was wondering if I was the problem
I thought I was going crazy 😂
"Shadow" is book 3
6:41:13
MC is psycho
The storys good, the scottish accent is awful😂
The attempt at a Scottish accent was not the best 😂
TF - her thought process is just 🤪
I got hooked by the first book’s innocent romance and magic and then this… 🥲
What happened?
@@Lilach.B.C SPOILER
They break up
Yeah, I'm not happy with the direction Nate and Margo are going either.
