Thank you for sharing your expertise on how to get the gen 4 mod on a gen 3. Which you did another video of a really close up view of the work done. Thanks again.
I found a easier route, get a gen 3 and a gen 4 magazine release, cut them in half, put the gen 4 release on one side, the gen 3 on the frame side. You'll need to open up the release side to make it work. Did this to a p80 and added some material to make it work. Now the p80 has a gen 4 release. It's way better now. I used puddy that turns to metal to make it work on the frame since its thinner than a glock frame. All thanks to this video to get me started. I'll have to make a instructional post to help others do it.
Nice Job Rich. Looks fantastic. I seen those Sure touch mag release mods.... I had my Gen 2 Glock for about 20 years and used it often. It might be time for an upgrade to a gen 4 for me. If I had a gen 3 I would definitely do it myself. Thanks for the tutorial!
Very cool. The gen 4 mag release is way better. I figured a retrofit wouldn't be too hard; but I wasn't gonna use my frame as the test dummy. Thanks for the vid.
I really want to try this on my p80... but I'm a little worried about the epoxy fill on the right side. I have short fingers and having to change my grip to dump a mag sucks.

Just curious if you can also cut the back of the frame and put a Gen 4/5 backstap .
I have not done it before, but I don’t see an issue with molding one onto a Gen 3 frame.
Please tell us the website that charges $45-49 to do the installation
+Patrick Truong arotek.com... it's called "sure touch" mag release
That's pretty cool, thanks for sharing that.
Does gen 4 mag release work on p80 it seems to big
So doing the gen 4 mag release wasn't difficult?
No it wasn't.
What company is it that I can send my gun to to get this done?

The mag release really sucks on the 3rd gen. So does the trigger.
