Just wanted to address the audio issues: Thank you for all of the feedback on the clicking sfw, it is noted and i have read through + welcome the valid criticism! As always, my videos and the editting will constantly be updated as i see fit and as the channel evolves to fit the vision. I apologize that it effected your viewing experience and it will be addressed 100%. Thank you for your patience and expect there to always be improvements here as the style i originally started this channel with would eventually evolve and right now we are going through the process of doing that, especially as i prep for those really big videos that i have building a huge amount of anticipation for. That being said as long as you are respectful, i welcome all the criticism and complaints and thank everyone who appreciated the hard work + fun ideas presented here.
Love the theory - do agree that the clicking sound was kind of annoying. Another thing I would say is that you tend to talk really fast and it can be sometimes difficult to process all the juice you're throwing at us because it's just so rapid fire. That aside, I really enjoy these vids

This alone means that Dragon is a large reason that Luffy has made it past Pre-TS. Not to mention him saving Luffy at Loguetown. - Let's look at Egghead. Bonney is here because of Kuma, and their journey is owed to Dragon's Revolutionary Army. - Let's look at the terrorism at Marijoa, led by Sabo, who is here because of Dragon. Dragon is a God of affecting the plot indirectly. And those of these, two points directly affected the plot. I know you're making a joke bro, so I don't meant to be a party pooper. I will acknowledge though you were pretty off the note this time.
A wee correction on what Caribou said about his "Life long dream" in the Japanese version. He says it's his "Goshou no tanomi" which means something along the line of a "once in a lifetime wish/request/plea". So it's not that he's been dreaming of being a part of BB's crew for a whole life time just that he's desperately pleading for this one request. Great video as always though Par. NGL. I always thought Luffy, basically, calling Caribou a wild animal as weird. Never really could figure out the implications of that. Has the same vibe as when Luffy called Blackbeard "them". Implications not clear at first, but we know Luffy's intuition is really good when it comes to feeling out people's vibes.
Man i miss the old editing style... I subbed this channel when it had 200 subs because i liked how your old editing never added unnecessary, "over the top" edits like all the other OP channels back then, but now this channel is kinda doing the same thing. It sucks because imo you are the best OP theorist, but, i've barely watched any of your videos ever since this edit style. Even though i know the video probably has the best theory ever, i just cant stand this editing. It's obviously aimed for people with low attention spans and is working for views which is good for you, but i just cant sit through your videos like i used to anymore

I like this. Only thought I don't like is him not having a devil fruit, since that would null his whole spiel of 'shes a hungry girl', which I find really interesting. Tho what if one of the clay golems ate a devil fruit of their own? It might explain how Caribou is such a strong hunch on his df's will, since he didn't really have one for himself before, but then he'd be torn between his lords will and his df's will, essentially becoming the wild card he is right now. Regardless, the Caribou sword membership I'm buying into :)

Par I love ya man; been watching since you had like 2 vids and a handful of shorts but please please please i beseech you don't start doing that thing where theres a click or a fidgety noise every single time an image transitions or a panel changes on screen. I've noticed that happening more and more among many One Piece youtubers as of late and it's absolutely insufferable. It's a video tactic that appeals to brainrotted people with 0 attention spans and 5 year olds. It adds nothing of value to your theories, which are among the best around, and only substracts from the substance of the overall production. I couldn't make it past 1 minute 46 seconds into this theory due to that.

In the raid of mariejois they tried really hard not to cause casualty forexample. But yeah because of the weird details with the navy specifically I'm leaning towards sword more than anything
I love the video and the idea as a whole. My thought on it is: What if Prince Gruce used his power to make a "perfect golem" then fed it the swamp swamp fruit? Why it has more full sentience than others, and potentially being part of sword/marines allows access to Vegapunks technology to feed devil fruits to items/things.
Speaking of carribou, his brother and the son of White beard are a little too similar. Esp given how quickly he seems to abandon his dear, brother. Is it possible, that he is connect to MADDS in some way. He seems outside the black market, but part of another underground organization.
Only hole in this theory is that if caribou was a golem why wouldn’t price grus just tell the gov about the ancient weapons. Him knowing so much means he can’t be a part of the gov or else we would’ve seen the affects by now, I still think he could have deeper motivations but he’s definitely a pirate.
One additional explanation is that they sent Garp to safeguard Shirahoshi towards Fishman Island, could've send him to guard any other royal, but they chose the ancient weapon. This theory actually fits pretty well.
@@TheUnkow when it comes to Poseidon imu probably already knows it shirihoshi because they’re from the void century they know what the weapons are. Also could be the reason she had the target on vivi, and probably a big reason for the mother flame existing now. The theory has too many holes yes sword works outside of the government but they’re still with the government they’re not just marines functioning as pirates they’re on actual mission but they’re basically classified type missions where the gov shouldn’t be operating they can because of sword. Sword isn’t just rogue marine guys who find out about shit like the ancient weapons and don’t report back. Every person we’ve seen in sword was on a mission or still had close ties to the gov thru communication or whatever they’re not just doing whatever they want.
Whoa, lots to say here, great job at unpacking this Par. Seems like Swords reaching all over I thought originally it was Teach he was wanting to give the info to but then I thought it seemed to easy. This is way better, the thing I really like about all of this is a little different. But when we saw the 12 who are going to be going after the Onepiece or are the ones Odas highlighted about being endgame players we got Coby. Now I was like ok, Coby, makes sense of some different levels, but I think Oda's really saying Sword. So there's the Navy, Shanks, B.B., Luffy, Crossguild, Holy Knights etc...but having Sword here being a relevant contender for the Onepiece and lets not forget Kuzan and his ties, seems like (Tin foil time) I think Luffy will prob give the Onepiece to Sword after he finishes with it because he wants more adventure and Sword are good guys who will use it correctly and not to attack innocents. So the entire set up for Sword has been working for a long time through Caribou and if this is what Oda's doing then, keep on cooking Oda. Trying to figure out your moves is so much fun.
Never thought about the link between XDrake & Caribou! Maybe was a way for Oda to pave the build up in Wano. However both characters really surprised us with their unexpected plot relevance…
Maybe Grus is the son of the deposed king of Goa King & I also like the theory by Dawn & Dusk that Grus is the brother of Bellete the guy that tried to kill all the newkamas

Every awakening is overpowered Caribou could be Prince Gruses best gollum and gained a power similar to Enmas Haki drain , Caribou has infinite space inside of him or could have been fed the swamp fruit since he already had intelligence.
See I never gave second thought to Caribou but you’re right the fact that he always seems to fall into the places where the main plot lines are happening is about odd, it would be a lot cooler if he was in Sword and not just a Blackbeard super fan 😂

If Caribou were a golem, it's possible that he actually does have the Numa Numa no Mi, explaining his unique abilities. Whether this occured through him just eating it or the whole "object being fed a devil fruit" process doesn't actually matter. If Caribou is a part of SWORD, he could be trying to reach Blackbeard to actually get Kuzan the information. Kuzan could easily be an unofficial member of SWORD (so even the non-SWORD Marines don't know).
@billbixby2282 I thought about that but I think so far the revs havnt really shown morally grey actions to achieve their means. Like they commit crimes but it's always "righteous." They empower nation states for uprisings and do espionage, but caribous current goals haven't lined up. Like the cover story where he was a revolutionary wasn't because he wanted to be there, neither was wano into that regard. Sabaody and fishman island are stronger depictions of what we would look at for what his intentions are and the conversation with van auger. I don't see why dragon would infiltrate bb, it's not like we see them interact with any of rhe yonko right? But I did and am thinking of the possibility, but I just can't see caribou using kidnapping as a means for anything while being a revolutionary when they're supposed to be the direct opposite and the founders are literally anti human trafficking. It would be wild and terrible for dragons stocks but not impossible is what I'll say

@@Parvision- If aokiji ends up not being with BB by the end of the series, and luffy does get one last member for the crew. That means BB would need a new member to even the numbers. It is weird now that you pointed out the life long dream comment. But I think that can just be chalked up to over exaggeration perhaps ? Idk.. caribou was already a mystery for so long, that I believe we might have actually gotten his true intentions now. ALTHOUGH I’m in love with the idea of him being involved with crocodile because he would be a good fit for cross guild. I think he’s just going to end up being the comedy character for the BB crew.
The only issue I see with Caribou and his crew being golems is that we see the entire crew get submerged underwater and I doubt that would work well with the product of a devil fruit power. Even if they don't get immediately dissolved or something, I feel like clay and water would probably not mix well. The only way I see the scenario making sense is that the Golems are affected by the sea as if they were devil fruit users despite not actually being one.
@xdragoonzero0 ooooooo you hit a very good point. I didn't put into the video because explaining this in its entirety wud be like 2-3 minutes added that'd detour and boor some. But chapter 605 is what you're referencing. And that scene is exactly why I think they're clay. When you reference how oda shows nearly everyone underwater they sink. Which makes sense. Laws crew, kids crew were recent examples. BUT caribous crew is an exception. They didn't sink. Zoro says they look like jellyfish (in other words floating). Now surviving at 3k M depth with bubbles is one piece logic, BUT like you said clay doesn't dissolve. Interesting clay immediately floats due to the air pockets within its structure. It takes a decent while for it to get water logged. And so the crew being highlighted to not just float and have buoyancy is really interesting. But not only that caribou isn't even concerned. Remember these are depths that without the bubbles. The strawhat monster trio would have died at and caribou knew that and made them bubble scuba gear. And yet not only did these guys float, they also survived and returned. And as far it deactivating the devil fruit. We'll we can look at examples like perospero who made a candy slug that can sail on water and big mom has homies that she can put into a wave or her ship. So they function in the water. It seems like creations of a devil fruit aren't that weak to water, which makes like morias fruit an interesting exception since it just took salt. All that bring said. Since clay is naturally resistant to water, I'm actually expecting the fruit to be a crazy power. And I think its fair cuz like karasu a random side commander in the revs has rhe soot logia that can make birds that can be used as den den mushis. Like oda is adding some wonky add-ons to these powers and clay is probably one of the deepest when it comes to mythos. No exaggeration every belief system thought humans we're made of clay and gods breath or some shit lmfaooo which is why lord prince grus makes sense but yeah. I love that you pointed this out. I agree. But I think there's a higher likelihood it makes sense through some ability of the clay fruit than just random swamp logia ability. Esp cuz oda has given alot of the paramecias insane awakenings and heightened abilities. Doflamingo bird cage was put into his string clone. So basically an ultimate ability IN a string golem. And law and kids awakenings are each interesting extensions of their powers too. Don't think it'd out of the question now thay were in last saga
@@Parvision- The idea behind both the Numa Numa no Mi's and Yami Yami no Mi's storage ability is that things get swallowed and disappear in the swap/dark. This does not extend that well to clay. On the other hand, it was Caribou himself who explained his ability (in Chapter 612) so it might have been a cover of his actual origin: the real Numa Numa no Mi might or might not exist then, like the Gomu Gomu no Mi.
I believe that originally the main villain was supposed to be "Saint Germain", but he was replaced by Imu and became Judge Vinsmoke. In the original plot Sanji aka Mr. Prince would be the son of the main villain. Strangely enough the Golem ability of Prince Grus is the closest to the Gorosei. Both are autonomous self regenerating units. I bet that Grus inherited some plot points of the original son of "Saint Germain" and now he is related to the Nerona family.

Looking back at this I wonder if he is supposed to be like Bartolomeo for Crocodile or a weird combination of Crocodile/Buggy? Crocodile knew about Pluton but there are no details revealing how he learned about it, Crocodile in his youth could have been like Caribou and simply overheard everything while on someone else's ship, and both have similar powers, I only consider Buggy to be like Caribou in that he's at the right place at the right time to be hearing about or inheriting treasure for having ties to Roger. For the longest time I assumed Ivankov's secret about Crocodile was that Crocodile used to be part of Cipher Pol, but was inspired to become a pirate by Roger. Some assumptions that can be made are that he left out of self-interest to look for ponegliffs/ancient weapons, the government found out and he became fugitive like Who's Who, and was later made a Shichibukai on the recommendation of Doflamingo to the Gorosei, like a sacrificial pawn i.e. this guy is looking for ponegliffs/ancient weapons, kill and take whatever he finds if he gets anywhere with his search. I think Caribou will end up joining Crossguild in the end because he seems like a treasure hunter in line with Crocodile/Buggy.

I mean this in a constructive way but i think you should consider toning done a little the amount/sound intensity of all those little clickings and popup sounds, they get in the way of your video with not a lot of added value as there is so much of them. Halfway through the video and i swear i feel like hearing any of these every 5/10 seconds.
Something about "Emeth". Soul eater has "emeth" on the first golem too. Hebrew Roots movement I was in for a while says Em eth" has Eth cepher in it. Means "I am" or something. True self. Emeth also contains the first and last hebrew words. IE "I am the first and last". So clay man is emeth/golem and god in a figure of speech in Hebrew. Or something like that. I don't know the Hebrew well at all but it is possible to do this study. Also Clay Man is a banger In Flames song.
The clicking sounds reminds me of the whipcracks from johnny test lol This is a very interesting and cool theory for caribou, but its far fetched a bit since assuming prince grus and caribou are mentally linked grus could of let the navy know the whereabouts of Pluton by now but if prince grus has no way of communicating with caribou then why is caribou inflitrating the blackbeard pirates as prince grus golem?
Yeah no for sure that's why I was stuck on the part where not 100% sure about the navybconnection. I think the navy conndction is way too deep to blink away BUT for the prince grus stuff it cud he that when the golem dies, he gets info. Which would be how coribou kept coming back essentially. But let's say it's not and let's say that there is no info link, then the onus of the theoryblies on what swords true goal is. Which for example kizaru said drake was on recon when he ended up joining kaido. So we don't know what the recon was for yet. But if it's just info gathering or "stealing" specific things then maybe drake and caribou could accomplish that which would lend itself to the idea I proposed at the very end regard smoker and the box

I could see oda using caribou as an accidental stepping stone for Blackbeard in that Blackbeard has pudding looks thru Caribou's memory to see if hes lying, he finds out Caribou has no past or point of natural birth but confirms hes a Sword Member and the knowledge of poseidon and pluton and kills him. If grus receives the info thru his death ima give u massive Ws, its just dope theory its just iffy atm since we dont know how the clay clay fruit works

But when you consider the creation theories around clay and how oda seemingly is digging deeper into like "religion" and mythos and creation with like the adam tree, gods, bibles, emeth, and seraphims. I'm kind of feeling confident that the clay fruit has some crazy purpose. It might even be that when we get sword in our focal point. The main people will be koby and grus (drake was just a way to get us familiar and I don't think helmeppo will play that role, I think hibari will be important but maybe a strong supporting character for koby [like creating motivation like how kuzan froze her]) grus is actually the rival and I am betting he might be the 2nd focus of sword (if law isn't in sword like alot of ppl think and if the leader of sword is more of a decision maker rather than a growth narrative character)

But I guess even 2 years ago I felt something was up with caribou and sword and I guess the cover story is the huge disconnect in how we view caribou. I think there's too many reasons to think that he is navy but the best reason to think he isn't with blackbeard is that his speech mannerism there with van auger is the same as when he was lying to the strawhats and luffy making up and sucking up to them. And at rhe end of rhe day blackbeard is just "master" still need to know who is caribous "lord" that wanted the strawhats. i think the idea hinges on grus' golems having autonamous personalities. meaning caribou was tasked to be the slimiest kind of pirate to get in blackbeards good graces and acts as such

There is a huge problem with this theory. There is a memory bubble with Caribou and Coribou with what looks like their grandma as kids. Meaning they were kids and grew up. I can see relation to powers but nothing more. They could have also come from a country were people call themselves gods like Skypiea or Caribou is a follower of the same faith as Kuma.
But I did just think about the Idea that Groose didn't always have this DF and it would make better sense. The grandmother from the flashback was the df user in the past. He's not only the golum, Caribou's character inspiration is the Gingerbread man. Always getting into trouble but running away at the end. In the story he's finally caught by the fox and eaten because the fox is too smart. And Mr Caribou has just encountered a fox woman.
That's a good video. I wonder if "burying someone alive" is a synonym for sending them somewhere or absorbing someone. We saw with Kuzan what incredible range the logia fruits can have. What is also suspicious about Caribou is his design. He has two crescent moons on his face, his beard and his forehead. The crescent moon on his forehead is exactly as you can see it from the North Pole. I also believe that his name (Caribous are actually north american reindeers) is a hint as to where he is from, probably a cold region with Inuit connections. Perhaps Luffy's comment about his "wild nature" was meant more in the sense of "he instinctively knows how to survive among stronger people", just like animals do. I don't think he is a golem... we know that haki can nullify df abilities. So when Caribou was hit with Haki, he should no longer be alive. If not haki then the sea water should nullify it. Otherwise Prince abilities are from another dimension. Do we have any confirmation that what Luffy sensed during the Fish Man arc was Caribou? I mean it could have been just a coincidence.
Haki "can" nullify devil fruit abilities. But gear 4 haki luffy punches couldn't "nullify" crackers biscuit clones. That's probably the best example that shows how a cloned creation does not just disappear or get negated by haki presence esp a strong one like luffys in comparison to pekoms haki which didn't even blacken his fist. But separate to that big mom and perospero have devil fruit creations that are not negated by water. Her ship, but also perospero made a candy slug that sails the ocean. And big mom put her homie into a ocean wave and controlled it via a mixture of candy and water. So another example of how the same weakness devil fruit users succumb to don't necessarily apply to their creations and these were more recent examples as far as the story goes. But on the part of grus power being out of this world. I'm sure it will be mainly because oda is digging into mythical references eith the gorosei and luffy/emeth, so it wudnt be crazy if he tied the clay power to the myth of clay from all or any of the creation theories around the world from the Bible to maoris(I forget the proper term but liek the pacific island beliefs). I mean apparently karasus soot logia works like a walkie talkie somehow, so oda is definitely on board with stretching the logic. But I do agree with the caribou references thay are interesting to say the least
I like a lot of this. I don’t like the Prince Grus angle. Much as I think it’s a cool twist, it’s not really Oda’s traditional style. It’s very complicated for no real reason other than shock value something Oda tends to avoid. I think it’s far more likely that Caribou is just a member of sword. All of your logic on that is really excellent, the Grus stuff feels like a reach cause we really know next to nothing about him. It’s fine to speculate but I really fuck with the first half of this video.
That's fair. I just think it makes sense for caribou to have a lord that would be a non imaginative figure, that would have to be tied to the navy since he asked for lords forgiveness when it came to the navy. And when it came to rationalizing who that lord could be, there really was no better fit than someone who could create sentient humanoids that have a near identical physical attribute that makes them logia in appearance and that person being a "prince" just made the lord part even better along with the explanation for the rest of the cloned crew that caribou has. This was a secret detail that I didn't want to expand on in the video but I saved just in case someone had a thoughtful comment regarding this part being a stretch. And it was that in chapter 605, when the kraken destroys caribous ship. Coribou and their men don't sink, instead they start floating and buoy which is why zoro says they look like jellyfish. Which we know normal people would sink. We've seen oda depict that many times now, but these guys again stand as outliers and to top it off they 'survived' this despite being below 3k M. Human or not that would be wild, but the reason this leads me to grus is because clay floats in water for a while because it has air pockets. Even wet clay can take a while to get water logged if it was molded specifically. It would also explain why caribou wasn't really all that concerned by this development. But I didn't want to bore ppl with that stuff in this video or have to take a detour explaining this and if have to fight the uphill battle og recognizing something like this was always in the cards oda probably just didn't have the final end piece together until wano, when he introduced prince grus. As far as if it's odas style. I think it'd be an extended version of the fake out luffy had with cracker where it wasn't until towards the end he realized he was just fighting humanoid crackers. And when it comes to the complexity. I think we have to recognize that when oda intertwines someone like this there's definitely complexities. I'm not saying they're similar but Kuma was a character narratively tied to soo many groups that when we got his backstory it was even more complicated than we could have realized. The reason he visited all the islands that he sent the strawhats too was to save his adoptive daughters life who ended up being his lovers child after she was trafficked to the celestial dragons and that was bonney who was experimented on by the gorosei and cured by vegapunk. And I could say more on that but caribou on a flip side was intertwined with nearly every arc in the timeskip and given the longest cover story series, I definitely think oda has been brewing something up complex. And I remember when I said kumas flashback would most likely have godvalley, people did say it was too complicated. Or in another case stussys situation is a good example, oda decided to make stussy a vegapunk clone of a rocks pirate who was hidden within the cp0 ranks and became the emperor of the underworld. Now when I first proposed that she was a triple agent before the reveal. People were like nah par why would stussy a random character be so complicated. The focus is on lucci and Kaku etc. Obviously I couldn't have predicted the entire scope of the nature hidden within stussy, BUT the deterrent at rhe time was that oda wouldn't make the side characters so fleshed out and I'm definitely opposed to that notion. The question is whether it's foreseeable or not. Senior pinks back story being so sad wasn't foreseeable but if you were willing to consider that oda might have designed him in a intricate way, then maybe you could have predicted some form of backstory simply from his appearance relating to a baby. So as far as what is odas traditional style, I think it'd be more accurate to say that it is definitely in his nature to create super intricate characters especially where you wouldn't expect it and usually the way to catch who they are, it's the ones he sets up well in advanced, like prince grus who he designed and introduced in chapter 966 but revealed to us in chapter 1061. And inserted him in the even more elaborate and anticipated group, sword that was a pretimeskip concept. And someone like caribou and kuma. That being said in this video I tried to hinge the theory less so on grus and more on the power. Because when I thought about how oda probably would have planned this. It was most likely that he knew a clay fruit would exist later on but didn't know whonwould have it necessarily. Which is why the onus of the theory was the similarities of rhe clay golems to caribou. But I do think we have more than we might thinknon prince grus as a character and I'll try to cover my thoughts on a later video

Look up clay creation mythologies. And the wiki page will show you how across the world every religion and belief system has thought of humanity being made from clay. Specifically Judaism with clay golems, and ironically oda in the same arc introduced Emeth. A clay golem noted from judaic lore. Prince grus is an elite officer of sword that was trained by garp and probably others and both him and sword are not even close to being full revealed to us, I doubt oda is going to make their characters so simple. I don't think other characters will make the same impact as koby, but I do think prince grus rivalry with koby slated him out to be a very important character that oda will at minimum use to foil koby as to why he Is the future of the marines, but also grus will make good on garps statement that they all are. Remember the navy doesnt just have one power house, there's like 6 admiral level characters and I'm not saying prince grus is going to be one of them, BUT sword highlighted this group to be the future of the marines. Don't sleep on that haha and don't let power scaling hold back your thinking. Egghead would be unfathomable for any prior "power scaling notions" if thags all you relied on, which we don't. That's how we got to alot of right answers, like the gorosei not having devil fruits or the giants showing up and holding down the gorosei. If you only use power scaling, it'll cloud the image that oda is painting.

Him having high tier obs haki would be nice tho considering koby seems to be talented in that regard too BUT if the clay clay powers pan out to be related to "creation theories" then it's likely his golems are self sustaining. Like on hachinosu, when his golem got cut down in chapter 1080, I don't think he controlled it to mockingly say "that hurt" and I don't think he controlled it to have it reform back into its shape. It might be like something in between crackers biscuits and big mom's homies. But all of this is kind of why I'm placing more emphasis on the story aspect than whether or not it fits in the power structure. Like Karasus soot fruit somehow allows him to use his soot crow as a walkie talkie. That'd be insane obs haki too, but maybe there's a different explanation oda will give us outside of obs haki that just twists how his power works a bit.

A wee correction on what Caribou said about his "Life long dream" in the Japanese version. He says it's his "Goshou no tanomi" which means something along the line of a "once in a lifetime wish/request/plea". Par I love ya man; been watching since you had like 2 vids and a handful of shorts but please please please i beseech you don't start doing that thing where theres a click or a fidgety noise every single time an image transitions or a panel changes on screen. I've noticed that happening more and more among many One Piece youtubers as of late and it's absolutely insufferable. It's a video tactic that appeals to brainrotted people with 0 attention spans and 5 year olds. It adds nothing of value to your theories, which are among the best around, and only substracts from the substance of the overall production. I couldn't make it past 1 minute 46 seconds into this theory due to that.
I do have to play into it a little but I will def improve it for the next one as I always try to do. Thank you for the feedback

One additional explanation is that they sent Garp to safeguard Shirahoshi towards Fishman Island, could've send him to guard any other royal, but they chose the ancient weapon.

The theory has too many holes yes sword works outside of the government but they’re still with the government they’re not just marines functioning as pirates they’re on actual mission but they’re basically classified type missions where the gov shouldn’t be operating they can because of sword. Sword isn’t just rogue marine guys who find out about shit like the ancient weapons and don’t report back. Every person we’ve seen in sword was on a mission or still had close ties to the gov thru communication or whatever they’re not just doing whatever they want.

Whoa, lots to say here, great job at unpacking this Par. Seems like Swords reaching all over I thought originally it was Teach he was wanting to give the info to but then I thought it seemed to easy. This is way better, the thing I really like about all of this is a little different. But when we saw the 12 who are going to be going after the Onepiece or are the ones Odas highlighted about being endgame players we got Coby.
Now I was like ok, Coby, makes sense of some different levels, but I think Oda's really saying Sword. So there's the Navy, Shanks, B.B., Luffy, Crossguild, Holy Knights etc...but having Sword here being a relevant contender for the Onepiece and lets not forget Kuzan and his ties, seems like (Tin foil time) I think Luffy will prob give the Onepiece to Sword after he finishes with it because he wants more adventure and Sword are good guys who will use it correctly and not to attack innocents.
So the entire set up for Sword has been working for a long time through Caribou and if this is what Oda's doing then, keep on cooking Oda. Trying to figure out your moves is so much fun.

If Caribou were a golem, it's possible that he actually does have the Numa Numa no Mi, explaining his unique abilities. Whether this occured through him just eating it or the whole "object being fed a devil fruit" process doesn't actually matter.
If Caribou is a part of SWORD, he could be trying to reach Blackbeard to actually get Kuzan the information. Kuzan could easily be an unofficial member of SWORD (so even the non-SWORD Marines don't know).

They empower nation states for uprisings and do espionage, but caribous current goals haven't lined up. Like the cover story where he was a revolutionary wasn't because he wanted to be there, neither was wano into that regard. Sabaody and fishman island are stronger depictions of what we would look at for what his intentions are and the conversation with van auger.

The only issue I see with Caribou and his crew being golems is that we see the entire crew get submerged underwater and I doubt that would work well with the product of a devil fruit power.
Even if they don't get immediately dissolved or something, I feel like clay and water would probably not mix well. The only way I see the scenario making sense is that the Golems are affected by the sea as if they were devil fruit users despite not actually being one.

But chapter 605 is what you're referencing.
And that scene is exactly why I think they're clay. When you reference how oda shows nearly everyone underwater they sink. Which makes sense. Laws crew, kids crew were recent examples. BUT caribous crew is an exception. They didn't sink. Zoro says they look like jellyfish (in other words floating). Now surviving at 3k M depth with bubbles is one piece logic, BUT like you said clay doesn't dissolve. Interesting clay immediately floats due to the air pockets within its structure. It takes a decent while for it to get water logged. And so the crew being highlighted to not just float and have buoyancy is really interesting. But not only that caribou isn't even concerned. Remember these are depths that without the bubbles. The strawhat monster trio would have died at and caribou knew that and made them bubble scuba gear. And yet not only did these guys float, they also survived and returned.
And as far it deactivating the devil fruit. We'll we can look at examples like perospero who made a candy slug that can sail on water and big mom has homies that she can put into a wave or her ship. So they function in the water. It seems like creations of a devil fruit aren't that weak to water, which makes like morias fruit an interesting exception since it just took salt. All that bring said. Since clay is naturally resistant to water, I'm actually expecting the fruit to be a crazy power. And I think its fair cuz like karasu a random side commander in the revs has rhe soot logia that can make birds that can be used as den den mushis. Like oda is adding some wonky add-ons to these powers and clay is probably one of the deepest when it comes to mythos. No exaggeration every belief system thought humans we're made of clay and gods breath or some shit lmfaooo which is why lord prince grus makes sense but yeah. I love that you pointed this out. @@Parvision- The idea behind both the Numa Numa no Mi's and Yami Yami no Mi's storage ability is that things get swallowed and disappear in the swap/dark. This does not extend that well to clay. On the other hand, it was Caribou himself who explained his ability (in
Chapter 612) so it might have been a cover of his actual origin: the real Numa Numa no Mi might or might not exist then, like the Gomu Gomu no Mi.

I believe that originally the main villain was supposed to be "Saint Germain", but he was replaced by Imu and became Judge Vinsmoke. In the original plot Sanji aka Mr. Prince would be the son of the main villain.
Strangely enough the Golem ability of Prince Grus is the closest to the Gorosei. Both are autonomous self regenerating units.
I bet that Grus inherited some plot points of the original son of "Saint Germain" and now he is related to the Nerona family.

Looking back at this I wonder if he is supposed to be like Bartolomeo for Crocodile or a weird combination of Crocodile/Buggy? Crocodile knew about Pluton but there are no details revealing how he learned about it, Crocodile in his youth could have been like Caribou and simply overheard everything while on someone else's ship, and both have similar powers, I only consider Buggy to be like Caribou in that he's at the right place at the right time to be hearing about or inheriting treasure for having ties to Roger. For the longest time I assumed Ivankov's secret about Crocodile was that Crocodile used to be part of Cipher Pol, but was inspired to become a pirate by Roger. Some assumptions that can be made are that he left out of self-interest to look for ponegliffs/ancient weapons, the government found out and he became fugitive like Who's Who, and was later made a Shichibukai on the recommendation of Doflamingo to the Gorosei, like a sacrificial pawn i.e. this guy is looking for ponegliffs/ancient weapons, kill and take whatever he finds if he gets anywhere with his search. I think Caribou will end up joining Crossguild in the end because he seems like a treasure hunter in line with Crocodile/Buggy.

This is a very interesting and cool theory for caribou, but its far fetched a bit since assuming prince grus and caribou are mentally linked grus could of let the navy know the whereabouts of Pluton by now but if prince grus has no way of communicating with caribou then why is caribou inflitrating the blackbeard pirates as prince grus golem?
Yeah no for sure that's why I was stuck on the part where not 100% sure about the navybconnection. I think the navy conndction is way too deep to blink away BUT for the prince grus stuff it cud he that when the golem dies, he gets info. Which would be how coribou kept coming back essentially. But let's say it's not and let's say that there is no info link, then the onus of the theoryblies on what swords true goal is. Which for example kizaru said drake was on recon when he ended up joining kaido. So we don't know what the recon was for yet. But when you consider the creation theories around clay and how oda seemingly is digging deeper into like "religion" and mythos and creation with like the adam tree, gods, bibles, emeth, and seraphims. I'm kind of feeling confident that the clay fruit has some crazy purpose. It might even be that when we get sword in our focal point. There is a huge problem with this theory. There is a memory bubble with Caribou and Coribou with what looks like their grandma as kids. Meaning they were kids and grew up. I can see relation to powers but nothing more. They could have also come from a country were people call themselves gods like Skypiea or Caribou is a follower of the same faith as Kuma.
But I did just think about the Idea that Groose didn't always have this DF and it would make better sense. The grandmother from the flashback was the df user in the past. He's not only the golum, Caribou's character inspiration is the Gingerbread man. Always getting into trouble but running away at the end. In the story he's finally caught by the fox and eaten because the fox is too smart. And Mr Caribou has just encountered a fox woman.

That's a good video. I wonder if "burying someone alive" is a synonym for sending them somewhere or absorbing someone. We saw with Kuzan what incredible range the logia fruits can have. What is also suspicious about Caribou is his design. He has two crescent moons on his face, his beard and his forehead. The crescent moon on his forehead is exactly as you can see it from the North Pole. I also believe that his name (Caribous are actually north american reindeers) is a hint as to where he is from, probably a cold region with Inuit connections. Perhaps Luffy's comment about his "wild nature" was meant more in the sense of "he instinctively knows how to survive among stronger people", just like animals do.
I don't think he is a golem... we know that haki can nullify df abilities. So when Caribou was hit with Haki, he should no longer be alive. If not haki then the sea water should nullify it. Otherwise Prince abilities are from another dimension.

Haki "can" nullify devil fruit abilities. But gear 4 haki luffy punches couldn't "nullify" crackers biscuit clones. That's probably the best example that shows how a cloned creation does not just disappear or get negated by haki presence esp a strong one like luffys in comparison to pekoms haki which didn't even blacken his fist. But separate to that big mom and perospero have devil fruit creations that are not negated by water. Her ship, but also perospero made a candy slug that sails the ocean. And big mom put her homie into a ocean wave and controlled it via a mixture of candy and water. So another example of how the same weakness devil fruit users succumb to don't necessarily apply to their creations and these were more recent examples as far as the story goes.
But on the part of grus power being out of this world. I'm sure it will be mainly because oda is digging into mythical references eith the gorosei and luffy/emeth, so it wudnt be crazy if he tied the clay power to the myth of clay from all or any of the creation theories around the world from the Bible to maoris(I forget the proper term but liek the pacific island beliefs).
I mean apparently karasus soot logia works like a walkie talkie somehow, so oda is definitely on board with stretching the logic.

I like a lot of this. I don’t like the Prince Grus angle. Much as I think it’s a cool twist, it’s not really Oda’s traditional style. It’s very complicated for no real reason other than shock value something Oda tends to avoid. I think it’s far more likely that Caribou is just a member of sword. All of your logic on that is really excellent, the Grus stuff feels like a reach cause we really know next to nothing about him. It’s fine to speculate but I really fuck with the first half of this video.
That's fair. I just think it makes sense for caribou to have a lord that would be a non imaginative figure, that would have to be tied to the navy since he asked for lords forgiveness when it came to the navy. And when it came to rationalizing who that lord could be, there really was no better fit than someone who could create sentient humanoids that have a near identical physical attribute that makes them logia in appearance and that person being a "prince" just made the lord part even better along with the explanation for the rest of the cloned crew that caribou has. This was a secret detail that I didn't want to expand on in the video but I saved just in case someone had a thoughtful comment regarding this part being a stretch. And it was that in chapter 605, when the kraken destroys caribous ship. Coribou and their men don't sink, instead they start floating and buoy which is why zoro says they look like jellyfish. Which we know normal people would sink. We've seen oda depict that many times now, but these guys again stand as outliers and to top it off they 'survived' this despite being below 3k M. Human or not that would be wild, but the reason this leads me to grus is because clay floats in water for a while because it has air pockets. Even wet clay can take a while to get water logged if it was molded specifically. It would also explain why caribou wasn't really all that concerned by this development. But I didn't want to bore ppl with that stuff in this video or have to take a detour explaining this and if have to fight the uphill battle og recognizing something like this was always in the cards oda probably just didn't have the final end piece together until wano, when he introduced prince grus.
As far as if it's odas style. I think it'd be an extended version of the fake out luffy had with cracker where it wasn't until towards the end he realized he was just fighting humanoid crackers. And when it comes to the complexity. I think we have to recognize that when oda intertwines someone like this there's definitely complexities. I'm not saying they're similar but Kuma was a character narratively tied to soo many groups that when we got his backstory it was even more complicated than we could have realized. The reason he visited all the islands that he sent the strawhats too was to save his adoptive daughters life who ended up being his lovers child after she was trafficked to the celestial dragons and that was bonney who was experimented on by the gorosei and cured by vegapunk. And I could say more on that but caribou on a flip side was intertwined with nearly every arc in the timeskip and given the longest cover story series, I definitely think oda has been brewing something up complex.
And I remember when I said kumas flashback would most likely have godvalley, people did say it was too complicated. Or in another case stussys situation is a good example, oda decided to make stussy a vegapunk clone of a rocks pirate who was hidden within the cp0 ranks and became the emperor of the underworld. Now when I first proposed that she was a triple agent before the reveal. People were like nah par why would stussy a random character be so complicated. The focus is on lucci and Kaku etc. Obviously I couldn't have predicted the entire scope of the nature hidden within stussy, BUT the deterrent at rhe time was that oda wouldn't make the side characters so fleshed out and I'm definitely opposed to that notion. The question is whether it's foreseeable or not. Senior pinks back story being so sad wasn't foreseeable but if you were willing to consider that oda might have designed him in a intricate way, then maybe you could have predicted some form of backstory simply from his appearance relating to a baby.
So as far as what is odas traditional style, I think it'd be more accurate to say that it is definitely in his nature to create super intricate characters especially where you wouldn't expect it and usually the way to catch who they are, it's the ones he sets up well in advanced, like prince grus who he designed and introduced in chapter 966 but revealed to us in chapter 1061. And inserted him in the even more elaborate and anticipated group, sword that was a pretimeskip concept. And someone like caribou and kuma.
That being said in this video I tried to hinge the theory less so on grus and more on the power. Because when I thought about how oda probably would have planned this. It was most likely that he knew a clay fruit would exist later on but didn't know whonwould have it necessarily. Which is why the onus of the theory was the similarities of rhe clay golems to caribou. But I do think we have more than we might thinknon prince grus as a character and I'll try to cover my thoughts on a later video

Specifically Judaism with clay golems, and ironically oda in the same arc introduced Emeth. A clay golem noted from judaic lore. Like cracker who we got introduced to at the drop of the hat. Create indestructible biscuit clones that luffy cudnt even beat with gear 4 at the time. Prince grus is an elite officer of sword that was trained by garp and probably others and both him and sword are not even close to being full revealed to us, I doubt oda is going to make their characters so simple. I don't think other characters will make the same impact as koby, but I do think prince grus rivalry with koby slated him out to be a very important character that oda will at minimum use to foil koby as to why he Is the future of the marines, but also grus will make good on garps statement that they all are. Remember the navy doesnt just have one power house, there's like 6 admiral level characters and I'm not saying prince grus is going to be one of them, BUT sword highlighted this group to be the future of the marines. Don't sleep on that haha and don't let power scaling hold back your thinking. Egghead would be unfathomable for any prior "power scaling notions" if thags all you relied on, which we don't. That's how we got to alot of right answers, like the gorosei not having devil fruits or the giants showing up and holding down the gorosei. If you only use power scaling, it'll cloud the image that oda is painting.

@zorostoned I don't think he needs to tbh. Him having high tier obs haki would be nice tho considering koby seems to be talented in that regard too BUT if the clay clay powers pan out to be related to "creation theories" then it's likely his golems are self sustaining. Like on hachinosu, when his golem got cut down in chapter 1080, I don't think he controlled it to mockingly say "that hurt" and I don't think he controlled it to have it reform back into its shape. It might be like something in between crackers biscuits and big mom's homies. But all of this is kind of why I'm placing more emphasis on the story aspect than whether or not it fits in the power structure. Like Karasus soot fruit somehow allows him to use his soot crow as a walkie talkie. That'd be insane obs haki too, but maybe there's a different explanation oda will give us outside of obs haki that just twists how his power works a bit.
