Thanks! You're videos are awesome. I just got an original SX-70 yesterday after borrowing one from a friend for a while, and am shooting PX-680 first flush with an ND filter on it. Hopefully, impossible is sending you free film for all the hard work.
@tomsmith100 yess, you put a shot film back into an empty cartridge and put it back in, the point is to practice this technique by learning and understand how to get the film stuck. for the second exposure.
@Mijonju Thanks for your reply to my query. I am really trying to experiment as much as possible in my spare time. Recently acquired an Olympus OM2n Black. Been playing around this week. Analogue film rocks! : )
@one0man0band make a plastic strip one, i like it better, it works better too, but i want to stress the cardboard version here, because it explains that you dont need anything extra items. apart form a pencil, ruler and the PX film box itself.
@thomstone23 its just like adding another film to the pack, i dont think there will be much damage, if there is, its just the same damage as shooting an extra pack of film, because the cardboard you put in is softer then the film itself. hope this helps
@Mijonju At the beginning you state to test it on old film before trying it out on new film. How do you do this? Do you simply put a film you have used and place it back in the battery back cartridge and place it back in the SX 70. Then reshoot with it?
@Mijonju hi mijonju, saw this and thought to try it out. i had a hard time pushing back my film and actually timing. It jumps out pretty quickly and my 600 film got stuck. :/ any advice?
Terrific video! Can you tell me if it is possible to test multiple SX-70 cameras with one pack of film? I have a changing bag and a pack of Impossible Project. Thanks for any reply you may have time to give. I've SUBSCRIBED! :)
just got my sx-70. been looking at spares and repairs ones (to save a little money) and discovered that a common problem is a bent film pick (the little arm that pushes the film into the rollers. is this technique going to cause any damage to the film pick over time?
I'm still trying to understand why the dark slide went in. What purpose does that serve? Could that step possibly be omitted? Basically, just insert the L-shaped cardboard to prevent the film from being ejected.
good one mijonju! to think it'd be that easy to double expose. haha~ just a thought on the vid, could've used some jazzy elevator music for the text parts ;)
Idk what im doing wrong! Twice it came out a lime green color with no subject. Did everything you said to do. But im using the plastic one. So next ima try the cardboard. Mijonju pls help!
Omg. Pls Update when You do reskin your sx-70s! Im a big fan of ur show. Haha u probably see me comment on every video u post. Hehe thx again. In singapore its hard to get SX-70s
@cheekygeek shoot 1 shot, put the darkslide back, take it out, put it in another camera, shoot, put dark slide back, take it out put it in another camera, and repeat. :)
Hello, have you come across "photo SFX art" (google it)? On their website you will find a good free video demonstrating how you can create awesome photos. This made it easier for Joe to shoot photos that leave you with a wow-effect any time you take a look at them. Hopefully it will work for you as well...
Nice!
That's so bad-ass! It looks like it works really really well with the new Impossible films. Thank you for the tutorial Captain Mijonju!

@fladfisk yes, i just use the corner of the dark slide to get the plastic thingy in on to the top of the first film.
Those multiple exposures are beautiful Mijonju-san!

Awesome! I only have a pack film camera but if I can get ahold of an SX-70 I'll have to give this a try.

This is such a great, creative idea. Thanks for the video.
Don’t know if this account is still active but, I just have to ask!
Where did you get that custom skin for your SX-70? Looks real sick!
This is great! I can't wait to try this!
@thomstone23 its just like adding another film to the pack, i dont think there will be much damage, if there is, its just the same damage as shooting an extra pack of film, because the cardboard you put in is softer then the film itself. hope this helps
Muchas gracias por enseñar tus conocimientos, eres el mejor!
@jazzclarinet2006 oh i love pack films too, pack film cameras multi exposure is like combing your hair backwards with 4 fingers.
@faithloh1 that one works as a light shield :)

that is an awesome tip mijonju! thanks
with the box rainbow type, it's the same technique with "multiple exposure 600"
@whatiwasabout 600 is seasy no need hack, just open the front cover before the film jumps out
then push the film back. ill make another video soon./
Hey Mijonju, can you do a video on that little permanent frog tongue flap you have on there and how you made it?
Great little tip Mijonju :)
Awesome teaching ! i love it, btw is it possible of doing this with sx 70 box type one step rainbow?
@Mijonju hi mijonju, saw this and thought to try it out. i had a hard time pushing back my film and actually timing. It jumps out pretty quickly and my 600 film got stuck. :/ any advice?
yeahhh. mine is polaroid one classic. i want to do that also.
Is there the possibility of this having any adverse effects on the camera?
Question. What is the purpose of pushing the black plastic strip over the film?
hook inside the camera pushes the strip out instead of the film, so it keeps the film inside for the second exposure. Cheers.
Wow your very smart man ,
like your show by the way
What's the piece of paper on the bottom of the camera for and how did you replace the leather/skin of the camera?
what is that film holder in 6:30... ? A old 600 box camera? or... ?
ok, i found out. it's a back for the 600SE, right?
yes
What's the thing at the end? DIY Polaroid 600 film back? i want one of those :(
niceee! this would work for the slr 680 right?
Terrific video! Can you tell me if it is possible to test multiple SX-70 cameras with one pack of film? I have a changing bag and a pack of Impossible Project. Thanks for any reply you may have time to give. I've SUBSCRIBED! :)
What's that back called? The one you showed how the film ejects?

super awesome (: thanks mijonju!
And I'd definitely buy a sx-70 from you (:
I'm still trying to understand why the dark slide went in. What purpose does that serve? Could that step possibly be omitted? Basically, just insert the L-shaped cardboard to prevent the film from being ejected.
+Corey Steward its because the next exposure wont be exposed to light or get ejected i gues
good one mijonju! to think it'd be that easy to double expose. haha~
just a thought on the vid, could've used some jazzy elevator music for the text parts ;)
Hey mijonju, I was wondering something. I have a Polaroid sx-70 onestep land camera that doesn't fold. Can I use this same technique? :) thanks a lot.
@illusoyun yes :)
Did it works to polaroid 5000 land camera as well?
@Mijonju Does this works on Polaroid 600 as well?
Oooh, can this work with a 600 camera as well? :)
This was the technique used for John Lennon's "Imagine" artwork!
How would you do this with an SX-70 Onestep?
@mijonju does this work for polaroid 635 CL?
@findianliu thanks a million!
an advice please. Sx70 alpha 1 or sx70 alpha 1 revue is better?
@indininta22 please check out my other video "Shoot multiple exposure on regular polaroid 600 "
When I open the latch at the bottom of the camera to put the cardboard in, it pre-exposes my film. :/
does this work on 600 cameras too?
will this work with a slr 680?
I tried this and the strip shot out so I was only able to do 2 exposures onto one shot. I think my measurement on the strip is a bit off.
@chrishimself84 thanks!
4:38, no sound when u load the film?
Thank's dude !!
Thank you!
does this work with a supercolour 1000 ? c:
Idk what im doing wrong! Twice it came out a lime green color with no subject. Did everything you said to do. But im using the plastic one. So next ima try the cardboard.
Mijonju pls help!

interesting tutorial =) thumbs up!
my polaroid takes about 1 minute to take the picture ? does any one knows why ?!?!?
Is it sonar?
@cheekygeek shoot 1 shot, put the darkslide back, take it out, put it in another camera, shoot, put dark slide back, take it out put it in another camera, and repeat. :)
@raika19eighty6 LOL spot on!
@jayjquizon00 when i reskin all my sx-70 ill put them on sale :)
@HOTBIKEch oh you are sdzn!? didn't know that was you! ahh so this is your youtube ID huh :)
@faithloh1 hehe just uploaded a new one :) check it out
the 600 camera is easier, ill explain it later, you don't even need a strip for it to work.
This didn't work for me:(
I wonder how many times one can do this until the camera breaks … :/ The motor just sounds … "ouch! let me get this picture out!" ^^'
