It would be very difficult (and very costly) to find one totally unused considering it came out and discontinued in the 70s-80s. You can try the official Polaroid site; they have some refurbished ones:)
I just picked one up at an estate sale for $2. The viewfinder is dark though. I can't see through it. Is it broken? Also, where can I find film for this camera from? Thanks.
Hi so with mint flash bar and connecting it to external flash …. Does mint flash still fire or it will be there to fire the external flash ? Ideally I want mint flash in that situation to just act is transmitter and kick off the studio light
For the three modes, when you plug in MiNT Flash Bar and external flash: 1) turn on both MiNT Flash Bar & external flash -> Both flash 2) switch off the MiNT Flash Bar and turn on external flash -> Only external unit flashes 3) turn on MiNT Flash Bar and switch off external flash -> Only MiNT Flash Bar flashes
I just bought the flash bar, with the correct setting on the flash, does it mean that I could use 600 films outdoors under daylight on my SX-70(it's a Alpha 1)?! I've only tried to use 600 films with half brightness on the flash for indoors, and it worked just fine. Please let me know if I could use it under daylight as well, thanks.
It won't work under super bright sunlight in half flash mode, but under normal daylight, it will. Super bright sunlight means 11:00 - 15:00 in most countries.
More tips videos please! I noticed my first 4+ shots with the SLR670S all came out very dark - the thing was set on auto but I didn't realise I had to hold the shutter button down - could that be an explanation?
I bought a used one, and all the film was transported but the polaroid itself was only printed when I stopped pressing the button and a lot of pictures were heavily overexposed while some worked. I tried pressing twice which kind of worked, but not perfectly. Is there something wrong with the camera or am I making beginner's mistakes?
So, can I just buy the 600 film and use it on my SX70? Just bought one from MINT but everywhere I go, say different things about using 600 on SX70, and here says it's ok?
There are 3 ways to use 600 film on an SX-70 camera: 1) Use a neutral density (ND) filter 2) Use Mint Flash Bar half flash mode 3) Get a Mint SLR670 camera which uses 600 film directly
The mirror probably got stuck mid cycle. All you have to do is stick a new pack of film and it should eject the dark slide which will reset the mirror.
The first time in 10 years that I know stuff people can buy for my birthday. Thank you MiNT-team!
amazing video. very helpful. thank you so much!
you're welcome!
0:35 the film is actually 160ASA.
Where can i buy this camera ? Can
Hi where can from i buy it like unused

It's probably broken. You can google "Polaroid films" to search for the right films.
Sometimes the viewfinder doesn’t sit in the correct spot after you pop it open. Try pulling on it either up or down (gently) and check again

Got my Mint Flash Bar 2 in the mail last week and the little door to the battery compartment doesn’t stay closed :(

Did you test it out on daylight ? What were your results ?

@@MintSX70 11AM-4PM?
I am just wondering if there is any lighten/darken control adjustment needed when using flash? I’m a little confused about it…
Check out this blog post, it might give you some insight:

That could be it. Or the ISO in the film batches sometimes varies. That's why manual controls are so important ~

sounds like something is wrong with your camera
I think ur camera may not be getting enough light the shutter will stay open till it gets what it considers enough light
How do you get the external flash sync to work? Have tried the 2.5mm jack but no luck :( testing with test fire button
be sure to use a mono 2.5mm cable
So, can I just buy the 600 film and use it on my SX70? Just bought one from MINT but everywhere I go, say different things about using 600 on SX70, and here says it's ok?
use sx70 size film, polaroid 600 looks the same but will not go in
You can by a filter to put over the 600 film in order to use it in your sx-70, look up sx-70 light filter on the Polaroid website
*neutral density filter
There are 3 ways to use 600 film on an SX-70 camera:
1) Use a neutral density (ND) filter
2) Use Mint Flash Bar half flash mode
3) Get a Mint SLR670 camera which uses 600 film directly
can i see through the view find when i haven't the film inside?
because in my polaroid i can't.
I do not know if it's broken
*viewfinder

Naka Teleeli I’ll try it, thanks!
il l'a acheté où ? ducoup?
I have one but I can't find the battery were Is it?
Batteries are built into the film cartridge itself.
what happens if I use 600 film without ND filter and indoor?
It will still be overexposed.
@@MintSX70 How much does the ND reduce exposure compared to the dial on the camera?
@@peterwyeth8815 If you push the dial all the way black, it will still be overexposed.
