I was suffering this morning trying to take my vertical blind out. My tab was not in the back, but flush to the wall. I took a plier tip (no screwdriver handy) pressed the tab and it fell down. For what it is worth, I had one tab in the middle to remove as well, same idea. Thank you! You made a very professional and helpful video. I gave you a thumbs up. I am happy for RUclips on the how to front.

Bill, that was great. I'm 73 and have new hurricane windows coming and have to remove these vertical blinds in my condo. I ALWAYS have hated these blinds. Now I can get them down and decide on venetian blinds or drapes. Thank you.

important - there is also a THIRD clip in the middle. important - when pushing the clip upward, TILT the mechanism downward to release. Otherwise the video was helpful.

Vertical blinds! 🙄😡 What’s to say really … they have been the joy of landlords and bane of tenants in Aussie rental properties as one of the most painful and annoying window covering options out there for decades now. I don’t know of a single home owner that has voluntarily installed these kind of blinds to a property they own and live in them selves. Sure, they may start out alright at the beginning when it’s all new and aligned, but by about the third or fourth round of tenants occupying a rental, they are usually pretty shabby not to mention half of the singular blinds have broken off their flimsy plastic things that hold them on the tracks, with tenants getting pretty creative on how to reattach them so it looks like it’s all functional. Then it seems either a lot of property managers don’t seem to even notice the damaged blinds and miss letting the owner know before being re-rented so they can have a chance to be fixed OR the owners are in such a position of power these days in the rental crisis that they simply choose not to fix them up while there is still some very limited functionality and enough blinds are hanging to block some of the sun. I should start a petition to have these banned in rental properties! Haha 😂 Sorry for the rant, I really do just hate these blinds! … but thankfully in my new rental I can see where there may have been curtain rod holders screwed in above many of my windows so I’m thinking of going about taking down the vertical blinds and putting in some curtains and just remove when I leave. So thanks for the helpful tip on how to get these down mate 😉👍🏼
Thanks, one of the screws on my vertical blinds had come loose the end where you pull on the cords... of course that wasn't working... I had to remove all the slats first, then your video helped me unclip the track at the top so I could drill a new pilot hole for the concrete anchor. They're now rock solid, thanks for this video.
