    Ms. Hideko Colton,
Thank You. Everyone is great with their own renditions and transformation of the old native methods but it is very helpful and nice to find the original native methods and recipes. Thank you for bringing Japan to us. Love it

Oh ho ho I just happen to be going to the honbushin Honbushin vegetable bazaar tomorrow and they have some huge daikon. This is a classic recipe, and I am for sure going to pass this information onto the regular shoppers as well as myself and get the daikon and make it for lunch. great idea Tricia inHawaii

good question: I planted them too late and they were killed in the frost. I need to find out what time of year to plant them in my zone 6 or 7 (USDA keeps switching us back & forth between 6 and 7). I was very sad. I'm eager to try this recipe (without the plastic wrap) @@user-xe5mf3nd6o
