Having played for over 35 years (self-taught, then classically trained with a degree in classical guitar) I decided to get Pierre's "take" on a new approach to the instrument (tunings, etc.) I received the Guitar Book recently and already am learning to appreciate the instrument in a brand new way. It has enlightened me and broadened my musical scope. Thank you, Pierre!
I've loved this song forever, finally thought to look it up. As his stuff goes, this looks fairly do-able. And what a good guy, his spirit sets his playing apart. He and Steve Morse are my heros, towering monsters of positive music with admirable humility. Thanks Pierre!

beautiful guitar playing
Wow! This is one of my favorite arrangements by Bensusan -- now to see him teach it . . . . mon dieu! *****
I love this style of music. Sounds like one of my favorite guitarists, John Renborne.
@odessawheelwright
He's has it all in his book simply called "The Guitar Book". It's got tonnes of transcriptions as well as poetry and recipes!
Such a beautiful tune.
really nice and beautifully played
DADGAD is my favourite tuning, there's something magical about it

This ought to have a million views, I don't care if you're Gaelic or not.
magical.
One of the world greats without a doubt.
Beautiful!❤️❤️
Very good. I like it a lot.
This is a truly brilliant piece, as is the rest of the album it's on (Pierre Bensusan 2)
Congratulations!! I love your arrangements! I apreciate.
Superb ! The thumb plays an important role in the piece.
What an incredible musician - he's not even looking at what he's doing half the time!
Awsome is the word..........
He uses Gaelic tuning. G-A-E-L-I-C
Funny..I busted a string trying to get "L"...actually I think he's using a Drop D with the Capo on 2nd.
He plays everything in DADGAD. He's a monster.
@@Glenechocreek Yes, almost everything... 2:19... He is a monster, indeed...;-)
One of the first tunes Jay ever learned from PB
Anywhere I can get the tab for this, too quick to work out from the video.
@SakaeKanishimi Yes,he is. Thick accent! lol. Cheers from Paris
@odessawheelwright you are looking at them
Anyone have the tabs?
maybe 10 years late with this, but it's tabbed in the book 'The Guitar of Pierre Bensusan Vol 1'
amazing tune, skilfully played, brilliantly written - but what a chin!
