I just started watching you both about 2 months ago and I have to say I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. Both of you are so upbeat yet not fake at all. I live in Nebraska. I also am a small crochet business owner. This year is my first year trying out markets, so I shall see what it holds for me. The interaction between you and your husband reminds me so much of my hubby and I when we were young. I just wanted to comment and say a huge. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, stay true to each other just like you do now. U have a 100% viewer in me, lol.
I don't crochet but I do make jewellery (I'm a beadweaver) & I've just found your channel. It's just lovely that you're so positive & lovely. I started doing craft fairs just a yaer ago (I'm 65) so know how good/bad they can be. Just keep on keeping on. Sending hugs & positive vibes from the U.K
I love the market stories!! Recently I had my first ever market, I've got a small little crochet buisness thing going on. And there were these nice lady's next to me. At one point one of the lady's was having some sort of problem. The coordinator, another vendor, and I went and asked if we could pray with her. Later on that day she and the other lady let me move my table kinda under their tent (it was my first market. I had forgotten a tent, cough cough. It was hot.) And me and the ladies went back and forth laughing for a good while. It was so fun. Nothing crazy but I hope I get to see them again.
I come from a market family so know how it feels going to a regular show and catching up with the other vendors. My daughter has grown up around markets. Now as a teen she doesn’t want to help out on our stall. But she still pops in to say hi to her favourite people.
Memories of getting to markets in a packed vehicle at literally the crack of dawn...good market people are the best. One year at an event we were chatting away and one stallholder said how tiring it is to stand all day for 2 or three days. A couple of us said (in good humour) pah, I did this with pregnant/ with a baby in a sling/ with a baby in a sling and a toddler. One of my friends said she had done an event with a baby in a sling AND cancer...unanimously we all said "you win!" I'm still friends with people I met through markets 30 years ago.
Hi Sarah, Ben and Ruthie. Thanks for sharing. I have been to a few crat fairs but as a customer not as a seller. But I have heard some of the horror stories of what goes on. It does suck!😊
@@crochetvision I make Harry Potter type wands a sometimes I tell them " I don't c think I've made your wand yet". Or that it maybe in my work shop! Why don't you come to my next show. And I'll tell them when itis! For some reason I never see them again! Lol
Loved your video. Never did a multiple day market but used to do Helotes tx. once a month oct. - jan. great way to get my kids in their late teens to hang with husband and me. Sold blankets, scarves, hats, shawles, some other crochet items. Loved it and miss it. Now I live in the DC. MD. VA area. Stumbled on your utube and plan to watch more and buy a few patterns. I have done few animals is the giraffe supper hard? my oldest loves them and also thinking of the unicorn/horse as her middle kid loves them. Most of my work is worsted, DK, sport or sock. Thanks for bringing old memories back.
Aww thank you so much! That’s awesome. The giraffe and unicorn come with a RUclips tutorial to get you through the hard parts if you haven’t done no see patterns and attached parts through single crochet it could be tricky but I think the video aid is very helpful
I love getting to go to markets with you! I also really appreciate how no matter how rude or crazy some people are, you two always also share the positives in your experiences.
There’s a tractor on the road! Me: lives in the most county parts of nc who has a corn field beside and in front of my house. We don’t get car traffic, if you’re moving slow it’s because you got stuck behind a tractor 😂😂
Your stories about your shows are so familiar…hubby and I did a show in La Quinta, CA (part of Coachella Valley) hubby had a carved wooden vessel for $2,500 and this man wanted him to come down in price and hubby said no. The man finally relented, hubby delivered the vessel to his home and the man said ok I’m not going to pay tax on this🙄. Hubby said this man probably earned 5 times the price of the vessel with his financial investments in the time he spent trying to get out of paying full price and taxes.(as you know sales tax is simply collecting an amount and handing it over to the gov’t.). Another time we were doing a show in Park City, UT the show had security but was not fenced in and another artist had two handmade wooden rocking chairs stolen…premeditated for sure, felt so bad for them. Love your channel! Happy crocheting!🧶
That’s so crazy! That’s why I’m trying to share experiences so people who are new to events hear all the different things that can happen. Thank you for sharing! 💕
so I live in Northern-ish Alberta Canada and have been watching your videos for awhile as I market prep... I legit thought when you say "wawa" that it was short for Walmart! lol
So I just spent around 5 minutes looking on Amazon; I found a couple listings for things like those spinners! One was called “SSWBasics 4-Basket Wire Floor Spinner Rack and Dump Bin (63”H x 22”D) - Each Basket is 8”D x 22” Diameter - Great for Retail, Thrift, and Convenience Stores, Plus Home Organization”. If you go there, there should be more recommendations for similar ones too!
Thank you so much for looking. The problem with those is they are wide enough just wayyyy too deep. I haven’t been able to find the shallow ones that I use.
Immediately when you said “I hate bridges,” i had a flasheback when I was an EMT, driving a box shaped ambulance over the Robert Moses causeway, on a very windy day and i cringed. Always was convinced we’d get blown into the water with the way the box would just sway. Boxes don’t cut wind. Nope, nope. Not about that life no more. I feel you!
When I was a medic I went over the Bay Bridge in the back of an ambo and I made the mistake of looking out the side door window and didn't see anything but down....that did me in when it comes to that bridge.
I love your Market videos that show more of the event, like this one. It’s like I’m there, lol. But you guys always have great videos, I look forward to your next one😊
This has got to be Wildwood Nj lol. The tram car please impression was instant flashbacks to me "watch the tram car please wa wa wa watch the tram car please", the beach i was like wow that looks so familiar, but as soon as he mentioned the national anthem im like ....yep. Growing up in NJ I spent basically every summer there for a week. So glad you had a great event overall!
I just stumbled onto your channel last week and I Love your channel. I am entertaining the idea of doing some craft shows and your videos have been so informative so thank you so much!
Immediately I said Wildwood. NJ right after hubby’s “watch the tram car please.”😂👍🏻 I’m a Jersey girl living in FL now. I miss the jersey shore. Glad you had a good show. Sorry it wasn’t as good as last year. Plus how awful for those vendors to have that happen. The people’s stories were great. It’s nice you feel like a family with the other vendors, supporting one another. We all need to raise each other up. Makes everyone happier. Sadly you’re going to get the “odd ducks”. People come in all flavors. Ever see the movie Motel Hell(b-horror movie, but funny), well a quote from it is, “it takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent’s fritters.” To me it’s the best description of all the types of people who make up our world. I too hate bridges, I knew you were on the Delaware Memorial. There’s one here in FL (Sunshine Skyway) that’s super big suspension bridge and it gets closed down when there’s high winds. Riding on that feeling it swaying gives me such anxiety. I’d rather drive an additional 2 hrs out of my way then drive over it. Yeah, I’m nuts like that. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experiences. Cheers from FL😺 your dog is adorbs!
That was the best I love the ending the pup is to cute and Ben is to funny I hope to see u guys toward the end of the year like I did last year ❤❤ and the worst thing that could have been stolen was products because it’s hard to make that up
Wonder if it’s near a military base cuz the base here always plays the anthem at 5pm and everyone stops for it. Even if people are driving on the base. They will pull over and stop during this.
hahahah I make hair bows and I actually DO sell bowling hair bows and they SELL!! There are bowling leagues in every major town so it's not as unusual as you think HOWEVER it's obviously customer specif.
I hate how people steal from others. I was just at Pyro Music and Arts festival in Michigan in the same area where I live. Someone stole from a vendor and stole from our campsite. GRRR!
Im a new subscriber to your channel and I think I'm gonna binge watch all your vids 🙂 I have a fairly new channel too and will have market content as well as crochet stuff hopefully soon 🙂 Right now im just putting up all my resin videos as of now. Those kites were amazing by the way! And your pup is adorable!
They will be in another video coming up. A lot of people have asked. They are like a shelf spinner but with a 2inch lip. It’s what I put the sea turtles, frogs and seahorses on
Craft fairs/markets are not flea markets. Handcrafted goods/products are not the same as reselling some chair or tools that had been sitting in some basement for 15 years. It's truly tacky to haggle prices at a craft fair. It's also tacky to say out loud that you could make the item yourself for a fraction of the price.

Yup they win! That’s awesome. They are some of the most amazing genuine people I’ve ever met.
You and your husband make such a cute couple. I love that you both get excited to do your sell events.
Thank you !
Thanks for sharing your journey
Hi Sarah, Ben and Ruthie. Thanks for sharing. I have been to a few crat fairs but as a customer not as a seller. But I have heard some of the horror stories of what goes on. It does suck!😊
When they get like that. After the 3rd question i tell them maybe i dont have what your looking for!? Try and i'll suggest another booth!😊
Yeah we may need to try that

27:02 golly I’m not alone in not remembering names 😅 it’s like “toy lady” “wreath lady” etc eeek 😊
No. You are not alone.
Same!!

Awww thank you Viv 💕💕
Thankyou for a great video. Love the two of you.
I love your story telling. You guys work well together. Hope the show was successful for you!! ❤😊
Thank you! 💕
That's a pity, like who decides to go to a craft fair to steal the tables. It's insane! I crochet a lot but I've never done a craft fare.
Barefoot mailman hotel is an excellent option for dogs. I highly recommend them. Highly dog friendly

😂😂😂 I’m originally from NY tractors in the road are foreign to me. It still shocks me every time.
I love where your market was❤. Your scenery was beautiful. I'm glad you had a great out come.🎉

I can't wait for your videos! Nothing better than seeing a new one pop up. Thank you 😊😊 xx

I hate the Robert Moses Cosway. Originally from Long Island. Maybe that’s why I’m not a fan of any of them. 💕
When I was a medic I went over the Bay Bridge in the back of an ambo and I made the mistake of looking out the side door window and didn't see anything but down....that did me in when it comes to that bridge.

You hit the nail on the head with everything. I too would drive 2 hours out the way to avoid the bridge 😂😂😂
I do craft sales too and I do all types of crafts. I had a guy offer me $25.00 for a quilt. A homemade quilt.
Crazy

The worst thing to be stolen would be that cute pup! Lol
Most definitely. I would be a mess and Ben would go full John Wick.
Google retails for clothing racks

Omg it’s the truth about late night working!! It’s always that way for me haha
It is a curse!
Do you have an online store to purchase your items? The crochet/yarn community is very special.
I watched you're live last night i was not expecting you to post today 😅
😂😂💕 thankfully RUclips lets you schedule in advance.
Your pup would think worst thing stolen would be dog treats😂. Too bad those vendors experienced theft.
I think she would agree with you. Or her mom. She’s pretty attached to her mom. 💕

thank you so much for show us the kite that really cool
Thank you! I thought they were so fun!
i love the kite that was pretty cool to see
Thank you!
Pupper is adorable . Love ur videos ❤
Thank you!
Where was this event? My grandkids would love it!
For safety I don’t say where the events are. I’m sorry.
What are spinners?
This event and the family feels sounds wonderful! Too bad about the jerks, there's gotta always be one or two in every crowd!😢
It really is 💕
How did you get a counter for your Sentro 40 needle machine?
It’s linked on my Amazon storefront
Thank you, I found it. I wasn’t looking for it to be a separate purchase. You are the best!.
You do know that there is a bowling pin and a bowling ball out there, all ready.
Ok thank you

They’re the worst
I’m new to your channel but enjoy you and your husband very much. Question for you, what kind of spinners are you talking about and looking for?
They will be in another video coming up. A lot of people have asked. They are like a shelf spinner but with a 2inch lip. It’s what I put the sea turtles, frogs and seahorses on
That guy might have a point. Bowling pins and a bowling ball....a set!
It could work!
Love Ben's last comment 🤣
Thank you! 💕
Love your content.
Thank you! 💕
i need go to the beach trip
Same. I need to go back
Is this Wildwood by chance?
They have a few through the summer thinking about trying it. Wondering if the price is worth it.
For safety I don’t say where these shows are. Best of luck! 💕
At least none of your products were stolen.

What shore were you at?
For safety I don’t say where the shows are😊

Don't leave foldable camping tables like that left out and not expect people to take them. Oh my God
There’s supposed to be security so we could safely leave our stuff overnight. :/
