Ben, you may not know this, but you could have changed the trajectory of that kids life, I know it may not seem that deep, but if he had gotten away with it, it could have become a more frequent thing for him. Thank you for giving him the opportunity to make things right by you and for not making the mom feel like a bad parent.

Oh wow, I just checked up on what a jackery is and my husband bought me one of those a few months ago when he saw me charging my little power bank. I better practice using it for all the things so that I know how to at the markets. You both have so many great ideas and reasons for doing things, you really put thought into every aspect of market prep and setup

My hubby and I used to do shows, and you’re soooo right about lighting…people spend so much time making product and preparing how to display it and lighting becomes an after thought when it should be a major consideration. As a Marylander who hates seafood...we do love our crabs. 😂 Almost as much as we love our flag. If you make crabs in those colors for your MD shows, I think they'd do well.

That snarky lady would've caught the smarty-pants version of me that day. When you set up the whole problem, I was like, wait...that still makes it the same price as if you bought two earwarmers and then bought another one. I'm hard-nosed enough that she would've paid me that same price. But situations really do bring out fight or flight responses.
I normally would have I think I was just so dumbfounded. I should have just told her to take a hike.
I am a MAJOR fan also of the Ryobi battery operated fans, lights or even the 150 watt inverter that I run my USB lights off of and am able to charge my square reader, phone etc. I also used my jackery when I was doing hot air balloon festivals, Now I'm disabled and unable to do these events. I once had a grown man steal from me. I guess I should say I make hand made hair bows and when I say I would have 1000's of these at these events it's an understatement!! All handmade by ME and me only! I obviously couldn't take it away from him so I let him know that I personally hoped that the hair bow he stole I hoped wasn't going on a child because Heaven forbid if that child got sick or something bad happened to her I would always wonder if it was Karma paying me back for stealing and putting a stolen item on my child!! THAT made him stop and think!!! Didn't return the item just acted like he didn't know what I was talking about but you could tell he was like what if she's right???
I have a big mouth that I'm shocked hasn't gotten me smacked yet. I witnessed a man stealing a Christmas tree from a home depot lot and I pulled up next to him and said " wow that takes some nerve to steal a Christmas tree and set that up in your home for your family. Did you steal the presents you're putting under it as well? You're kids must be so proud of you"!!

I understand where the woman in the group of 3 is coming from. Absolutely NOT her attitude. But when things are discounted it's almost always buy (insert number) or more and get a discount. (On all items) Just to get them to purchase more items. So, personally, I would do it- buy 1 ear warmer for $20 or two/three or more for $18 each. (Whatever your prices are) It's just a little less confusing for everyone. So sorry she treated you guys poorly 😓
At box stores buy one get one 50% off doesn't apply to 3 you have to buy 4 to get the deal. That's just the way I looked at it. I see where you're coming from though.
