Just got my “how to quit alcohol in 50 days”. I’m excited and scared. I’m physically clinging to this book as a life raft. Thank you Simon, for giving us a manual/map to find our way home.
Thank you so much for your comment and for buying my book. I really do think it will help. It's a raw and honest step by step process and I will be keen to hear your feedback. If you haven't already, please check out my sober community, I think it will help as well - facebook.com/groups/1960061840706240
Good for you for getting sober before kids! I’m 37, with 7 children. 3 are young enough for me to make things right. My oldest 4, I have to fix it a day at a time. They never believe me
Thank you for sharing Christina! Your story is very encouraging and I can definitely relate to the anguish of overwhelming anxiety and in the past I chose to self medicate with alcohol for years. I genuinely appreciate the way you and Simon keep it real when talking about your personal journeys and family relationships. Please know that you are both saving lives in the work you continue to do. Please keep moving forward in sobriety. The world needs more people like you! Hugs from Oklahoma!!!💖
Thank you for your comment, Edward. Really pleased you found the video of comfort. I hope you are well and if you need any additional help, then please reach out :)
Well done on your progress so far! Yes, alcohol really can make things a whole lot worse. If you need any additional support then please check out this link. Lots of information available for you - besober.co.uk/2020/08/18/stop-drinking-books-by-simon-chapple-recommended-quit-alcohol-books/
My drinking probably peaked in the middle of lockdown then I suddenly decided enough was enough. Cold turkey overnight. So far so good. The darkest part of the night is just before dawn.🌼
Yes, you are certainly not alone with this. I think that lockdowns will see an increase in the amount of alcohol problems across the UK and worldwide. Well done on realising this and making the positive change!
Well done on 5 months sober, that is amazing! Yes, so many health benefits that I think we would struggle to list them all, both physically and mentally! Please keep me updated with your sober journey!
Hey Christina and Simon. This video was amazing. My life is so relatable to you both. I am on day 1 again for the 50th time. I have a terrible headache today, I will not be drinking today. The second day is worse for me. I am connected to Simons FB page And the website. I just can’t pass the 2 nd day. Any help would be greatly appreciated Renee Peleg. 😞
Hi Christina. You said your hangovers were really bad. Mine were horrendous until I discovered I'm allergic to gluten and casein. I could not do anything the next day. Have you ever had a gluten/casein peptide test? Contrary to popular belief, unless a drink states that it is gluten free then it probably isn't. There's the litre of milk I used to drink in the morning as well however....please have a look. The change it made to my life goes far beyond hangovers I assure you. If you find that you are allergic to gluten and casein (milk protein) it will change your life phenomenally.
I recommend ALLEN CARR book on giving up alcohol. After reading in 2 days I quit on the spot. Book, kindle, audible.... look it up. Its helped millions
Superb! Thank you for the recommendation! Are you part of my sober community? If not, I would love for you to join (completely free of charge) - facebook.com/groups/1960061840706240

Yes my anxiety was through the roof I had no idea it was the wine.i thought it helped with stress and anxiety. But it was the sole cause.
Hi Julia, yes, I know that feeling extremely well! It's shocking how much alcohol impacts anxiety isn't it! I hope you are well :)
I have been able to get off my antidepressants and anti anxiety meds since quitting alcohol. Keep up the good work.

I'm on day 5 of sobriety. It would make my depression and anxiety 10 times worse the next day. I just had enough.

Reena, you can do it. Drink lots of water, get some vitamins. Take one day at a time.
