      @@Nicecatholicgirl among American Catholics and probably elsewhere. There is the whole orthobro thing here and in Europe too. Religiosity seems to correlate among young men with political and social conservatism. Not so much among women because adherence to traditional religion largely correlates with low regard for women’s reproductive freedom and a backward-looking idea of femininity. Western societies are moving toward divorce of gender cultures. Pretty soon monasticism will be a far more attractive option for more men as women become unavailable to them.

Instead of just saying “I haven’t killed anyone, I’m a good person,” you acknowledge that you are a sinner, and there are things I do in my life keeping me from following Christ’s commandments to Love God with all my heart, and love my neighbor as myself.

Today, too many people think this short stay on earth is it and live like this is all there is to our existence. The world pushes people to religion and many stained religions push people towards Orthodoxy. It’s not a football game where one wins while the others lose - it’s about ensuring our soul returns from what it came.

After kindergarten the school, a private school if you want a good education for your child. That is expensive insanely. After 12 years of expensive school, the university! Another huge expense! Holy-moly! And this is just 1 child! A child is expensive😢 you have to work your ass off, and no time is left for God and spiritual life. pray for more women to become conservative in Finland as well. The West needs more children to continue the legacy of Christianity

    • @caravanlifenz
      @caravanlifenz Месяц назад +11

      Having children is completely unaffordable in West, so that's why couples are going childless and moving away from the church. Christians need to do more to help young families. Offering food and childcare assistance to Christian families would be a big help. In the US, there is a Christian eco-village where families can live in affordable homes and help each other out by sharing home grown vegetables. The West needs more of this.

    • @Commentator488
      @Commentator488 Месяц назад

      Absolutely not, men should become more liberal everywhere. Liberals also have children and with much more common sense and tolerance than Christian or religious in general.

    • @bobcobb158
      @bobcobb158 Месяц назад +6

      I think religious beliefs will only continue to drop amongst women. Women are becoming more and more liberal every year while men remain largely unchanged in their conservative beliefs, if not slightly more conservative. There is a growing divide between men and women that only seems to be getting worse.

    There are two national churches (as opposed to state churches): the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland (Protestant), which is the primary religion representing 65.2% of the population by the end of 2022, and the Finnish Orthodox Church, to which about 1.1% of the population belongs.Those who officially belong to one of the two national churches have part of their taxes turned over to their respective church (approximately 1-2% of income). Luckily, this keeps the churches going at a time when, in many parts of Europe, religion seems to be on a downward trajectory.

      This is not entirely true. The Slavic Orthodox are more averse to have records of themselves whereas Finns are very accustomed to it. This has lead to them not joining the official records. Unofficial estimates of unrecorded orthodox in Finland double the numbers, even triple.
