Sony does not suffer from any DR issues. Stabilization has its pros, like no warping corners on ultra wide under 20mm for Sony as well. The a7rv with the newest IBIS & IS improvements is better than panaosnics FF stabilization.
It looks super clean! I’ve been impressed with the new Lumix s5ii just from everyone’s footage. I still use the Canon R7 for now but if I do switch it’ll be to the Lumix system for sure.
Can you tell me the exact settings you have in your editing program for this footage? I bought the gamut Vlog conversion and gamut boost purely due to how great this video looks and the fact that you use it. But I noticed that combo is still really a flat image. What's your contrast like after those steps? Right now I have 1.3 contrast on resolve and +0.2 exposure, and then the LUT combo, and it looks fantastic. But I really want to just copy this video's look exactly, as it's so amazing. .
You can change the exposure to be +1 stop or more, while using auto iso. Hit the + or - button on the top right of the camera, near the WB and ISO buttons. As long as its consistently underexposed in standard mode, you should be happy with customizing the extent of over-exposing to get it super clean.
This definitely makes sense given what you said about the global adjustment layer. Might as well do it in camera on whats being captured, and reap the rewards of more light.
@@noahusescameras Thanks for the info! Honestly I think you should make a full video on exactly your specific settings for this video. And call it Get The Best Colors Out Of The Panasonic S5ii (Free Tutorial). I really think it'd do well, as this is genuinely the best I've seen, and I've seen quite literally every S5ii video recently made lol.
Cam looks great. Thinking of switching from canon myself…. Thanks for the vid. Oh tell the wifey the bacon looks good too. The camera made it look delish
Nice video. I was wondering, if you set audio to Low Gain mode, do you also have a clicking noise? My camera seems to exhibit it and I don't look know if it's a bad copy or not.
this footage looks amazing, thanks for the test! there's no distracting rolling shutter, colors is amazing, very pleasing picture overall looking forward for 5IIx as well btw is sensor dust generally an issue with this camera (like with Sony ones) or it was just a small accident? 😅
What stabilization setting did you have on? I didn’t notice much IBIS wobble at all like I have in other people’s videos that did a vlog test with the S5II
Noah, great video. Was wondering, is it possible to share the free pack luts? The website from the link you shared stopped working and I can't get them anymore.
@@noahusescameras Ah, I have a another quetion! Did u use any filters? It seems bright day in vid. So, did u use ND? or just auto ISO? I don't see any bad noise in your footage! It's amazing..
Hey, thanks for the test. It's performing really well as a vlog camera.
No problem 👍
The dynamic range is really impressive in the shot where the sun and you are in the frame. The stabilization is crazy too. Great stuff
right?! This was handheld too.
The camera looks really good but what actually impressed me was your clothing colors and the general coloring, great job
We love the way you graded this 💙
Thanks!
blows my mind how good this stabilisation and dynamic range is when Sony has been struggling with that for so long.

The colors, crispness, stability, and autofocus displayed here you'd never know it was shot on a Panasonic camera with one hand.
The images and color look super clean and warm.
Thank you!
OMG plz what LUT you used I like this looks
Thanks. I enjoyed that. Auto iso was a good point😊
You're killing it ! New cam + footage looks great. New sub for sure !
This is amazing.
This video looks solid, what LUT did you use for your v-log footage?
That's a fantastic color. What lut did you use???
Sub made based on this video! About to get S5II in couple of days, keep it up Noah!

Lifting the shadows is better than lowering the highlights to get better dynamic range
Nice job. Keeping it simple, keeping it real. Like to learn more about life in Kansas city. Best wishes with the camera.
Looks great. What LUT are you using?
Looks great man! Well done. :)
Wow! Image quality looks really good!

Have you tried it with a Canon EF lens? auto focus good?
What settings did you use for the audio on the camera and the rode mic? Audio sounds very clean. I have been having noise issues with my S5.

I also lightly applied the “vinteo” look lut from this free pack ruclips.net/video/8H2v0PISuZQ/видео.html

Peter McKinnon variable nd
@@noahusescameras thx!
Did you color grade? Either way, looks great!. Think I’m gonna pick one up someday soon
I would like to know if you think the Lumix better than R7.

Sensor dust only happened that one time so far . The shutter doesn’t close on shut down so ya gotta be careful
@@noahusescameras thanks!
thank you for the test
What type of recognition did you use? Face/eyes? Or body?
How did you color grade this?
Beautiful colours, is 709? or LUT Colors?
Lut
Hi Noah, very nice colors. Internal 10bits 4:2:2 recording or external raw (or atomos) ?
Internal
LOL love the rant about keeping us safe. Awesome upload.
Subbed
What stabilization setting did you have on? I didn’t notice much IBIS wobble at all like I have in other people’s videos that did a vlog test with the S5II
Just the basic one
The IBIS wobble only becomes visible below 20mm. At 24mm it's pretty much gone.
Sweet test video!
Thank you :) Soon buy to Lumix S5IIX
Looks awesome!
Noah, great video. Was wondering, is it possible to share the free pack luts? The website from the link you shared stopped working and I can't get them anymore.
I think it's great for everyday vlogging.
Definitely subscribing
What LUT have you used?!
Damn that video made me rethink about upgrading
I use the S5 now but the stabilization and auto focus are way better on the mark 2...
51 sub, keep it man!!!
great job on this video.
Appreciate it!
Wow.. color is amazing!! Did you use v-log for shooting, or not? What did Lut use? I want the lut you used.
I used V-Log and I graded with gamut.io v-log base lut and gamut boost.

@@noahusescameras 🙏 Thank you for your kindness!
How’s the autofocus in comparison to canon?
Honestly I thought canon was better at first but now I think the lumix takes the cake except for some quirks. Canon was a tad underwhelming
@@noahusescameras Thanks for the info. Its nice to know from the people that weren't sent the camera.
@Noah Uses Cameras Would you be able to let us know which LUT was used for this video? thanks!
That sensor dust tho

What mic do you use? I tried using the rode wireless go mics with the s5 ii and they sounded so bad. I’m using mov file format.
