That’s really cute and super aesthetically pleasing
That was a good one!
I love this camera so much. Get an atomos ninja and the 5.9k ProRes raw you get outta that thing is on par to anything similar black magic has to offer imo.
is not the camera bro, you already know it! Very good short film btw maybe the storyline is a bit messy ahah but shots are very cool. keep going!
Thanks!
I love the short film. When I look at a photo or video I dont pay attention to noise etc... If you take a photo or video that catches my attention then you won me over. You give people great content and trust me... they are not thinking about what camera you're using. Only camera geeks will be curious. I know so many musicians who collect tons of gear and dont bother to master their craft. Focus on your craft, then go crazy with gear later in life.
Thanks man!
If u got the money dji lidar is so worth it
As a fellow Minolta X-700 owner, I can say there’s nothing quite like it. Such a solid and reliable camera. Thanks for sharing your work!
I use the R7 and I dont shoot many birds. been using the camera since it came out. Im sticking with 4K Fine at 30fps, I do like 24 but I usually have my Rec 709 instead of cinema gamut, i dont have the correct conversion and ive noticed some problems grading it too.
Great footage! Nice use of light with the window as a practical(?). What lens did you use?
@@sebastiangjertsen4054 sigma 24-70 2.8
How did you color grade this?
"unfortunately he's a french guy" **mashes the subscribe button** 🤣🤣🤣
FYI, I’ve been there when it rained on my Blackmagic 6k Pro. The worst thing that happens is that if the screen interface gets wet it’s hard to recognize your finger pressing buttons on it. But no it won’t get affected really. I’ve taken this camera to like 5 degree Fahrenheit weather, it performs well. My friend on that 5 Degree set had a Canon 5D Mark IV and it literally shut down because it was too cold. This camera and the 6k Pro can handle the weather conditions if you throw something at it is my major point.
@@CamiloMaster10 thanks!
Appreciate the review! Generally speaking there are fewer autofocus issues at lower resolutions/ frame rates because the processor is less stressed. Might be good to repeat the test at 4k and 6k :)
Wow, I’m really inspired by your passion for marriage, and for cameras hahaa!! Hear hear. thanks for sharing this. Please keep doing what you’re doing you wont know how many people will be blessed by them
@@vedroelcitra thanks man that’s very encouraging!
I’m on the same boat as you, really tempted to switch/ add from lumix s5iix 😂 What do you feel doing run n gun with minimal setup with bmcc?
@@vedroelcitra s5iix is a better bet bare bones for sure. Especially if clients sometimes want photos…
@@noahusescameras in terms of image quality, can you see much difference? especially after youtube compressions and all

Thank you for this🙌
I've had the USB port on my 4K break twice, and the IR filter in front of the sensor (there is one, its just not great) get melt damage from using focal reducers. Blackmagic cameras have many great points, but they are absolutely build as cheaply as possible.
Dang dog it really is that way
I bought the BMPCC4k on release on a credit card. It was my first ever BIG purchase at the time as a young adult. I treated that camera like it was my child. On a shoot, I plugged my SSD drive into the USBC port and it....fell into the camera and detached from the board completely. NEVER in my entire life, on any device, whether it's a cheap thing from china, has this happened. This was a £1.3k device and I was always super gentle with it. I contacted Blackmagic and they would charge me £300-£600 to fix. I thought this was unnacaptable and was clearly poor build quality. I know it's no RED or Arri but even on £10 devices, you expect the charging port not to fall off. The community scolded me for not having a cage and using the locking pins etc. but that's beside the point. I took it to a few shops who were unable to solder it back on for whatever reason. Put me off BM and moved to Panasonic. I love their image and BRAW but that just left a bad taste in my mouth and I don't want to support a company who doesn't support their users.
@@2kstyles that’s completely fair my dude. I hope they never happens to me. LUMIX is great bro. I already miss the s5ii for its photography capabilities.
what mic are you using?
what mic were you using outside?
Same mic sennheiser mke 400
I think the camera's ok 👍 if it was really damaged I think it'd be pretty clear/more apparent. Film on
Send it to blackmagic
I've had the first generation BMCC4K since 2016 and it still functions. The second BMC I have is the BMPC6K and I carried it around in my son's stroller shooting footage for a documentary and it held up. I think you're good 😊
Do you think there is any difference in the image with your last camera? in my opinion the image looks the same as any digital camera. no black magic. is it gone with this sensor? I never found out what manufacturer the sensor is in this camera. they say it's an old sensor from sony. which was in the a73. I also saw a test with the body cap closed, at different iso. and the waveform curve is skewed to the right side. when you do plus 2 stops or 3. the right side of the sensor goes into the backlight.
@@АлександрИваницкий-ц3у I would say overall there is not a huge difference in the image. However, regardless of technical specs, I just prefer the image. Shooting raw has already saved my butt a couple times
use a tape ruler for focus.
Flo from Of Two Lands is an amazing case study of only using minimal kit but creating beautiful work. A lot of times BM cameras have too many quirks and inefficient ergonomics to make me consider them. Then on the other hand, they offer features that are wonky available on much higher price point products. It’s a weird give and take.
@@davidmorefield amen bro
Love this camera. Great grade! Are you using Dehancer or just film creator inside of Davinci? Would love a breakdown sometime

Bro I'm subscribing, I hugely respect you being willing to speak on the importance of marriage and its foundations, most people would be too scared of the criticism to do that and it's much respect from me for going against today's culture. Plus coincidentally I currently have a Lumix S5II and a Pocket 4k (similar to the last two cameras you had lol) so that's pretty cool 👊
@@allen_bernardo_jr yo thanks man, that’s so encouraging!
I always loved the image of the Blackmagic cameras. I hope that you enjoy it
@@Bigcookfilms thanks folk
I think it should've stayed its sale price it was a couple of months ago, or atleast closer to it. THAT was a KILLER deal. when it comes to someone who's starting off, the Lumix s5iix is a much more versatile and better value than the 6k. They're both great but no autofocus, ibis, lack of lighter codecs and no kit lens makes the 6k at $2600 new unappealing to me. The s5iix has braw, though it's not as good, it's still great and you can get really really good images out of it. If the 6k was priced the same as the iix it would be talked about more, it truly is one of the best cameras out for image quality and it's a shame it isn't in more conversations.
@@catlitter1012 I think you’re totally right. But I think a better move for BMD would be to add certain features and keep the current price.
Wow, this footage looks great.

@@noahusescameras i did a small instagram thing for an artist, it was 15 sec video, but shot in 6k 60p raw, the raw clips was over 300gb for a small job 😅
I had two BMCCs but moved on, to other equipment. If you almost always have plenty of light to work with then the sensor does fine. But the supposedly native ISO3200 is a noisy mess so if you need low-light support it’s best to look at other brands.
@@waveland yeah it is weird that they call 3200 the second base iso when in reality it cleans up at 1250.
You need to learn your camera before you use it. Read the DR charts. 1250 is phenomenal in low light for shadow depth. Once you learn the camera, then davinci is the 2nd part of the BRaw - how bmd gets away with internal raw. Partially in camera and partially in resolve.
@@hhankx I agree. I think 12800 base on the a7siii/fx3 made people feel entitled to seeing in the dark. I don’t think clients should feel entitled to that so neither should we.
@@noahusescameras idk why people want to make night time look so bright. Let dark be dark. Once you embrace what the eye sees, you won’t need that 12800 iso. These people blame shitty footage on gear. How often are they at home testing iso and noise floor performance? I doubt ever
ideally to have two of these cameras. s5iix and black magic. the image is really good, but it is very close to lumix. but using blackmagic every day is a pain.

Hey Noah, let me know if you want to talk about marriage. I came from a very traditional background of Indian Culture but I hold different views about that now. It's more about equality and equal power of all humans versus being a provider / caretaker. This is not to say that my ideas are right, it's just a different take. Different strokes for different people without anyone being wrong. Thanks and your setup looks nice. Also, I appreciate your humility.
