Just picked up a set of Summit 3.898 " 3cc dome pistons and a set of Summit H beam 6.125 " connecting rods. I also bought the summit ring pack. They look great and I cant wait to put this little 346ci together and see how they perform.
Great video !!!! It looks cheaper to build my LS from brand new parts. To my specs no less. Do it once and do it right. Thanks for sharing. You made my day.
Thank you for your question Matt. At this time, the Pro LS rotating assemblies will need to be balanced by your local machine shop. We are looking into having balanced assemblies sometime in the future.
Thinking about getting a 383 rotating assembly I just get confused about wich pistons to go with I know I'm going with a stage 2 or 3 cam and maybe ls6 heads is there a piston that can accommodate this build with a lm7 block?
Hello Curley, A LM7 can be bored to LS1 bore size of 3.898 or the common 3.903 oversize. A SUM-R24409035 rotating assembly fits the 3.903 bore and includes the 4 in. stroker crank, 6.125 H Beam rods, rings, and bearings.
I ordered a forged pro ls crankshaft 3.622 58x from summit racing but I make a mistake my 6.0 ls have 24x reluctor what should I do , get that change or stick with 58x ?

Hi Jeremy, The pistons in the Pro LS line are done with the volume needed to hit target compression ratios. The only displacement out of (4.8/5.3/5.7/6.0/6.2/7.0) that a Flat Top achieves these targets is the 6.0L. All others needed a dish or slight dome to hit the targets. If you are in need of a different brand in a flat top, they are common and we’re just a phone call away.
Thank you for your question, at present time (March 11, 2020) the assemblies don’t come balanced. Within the year, Summit is hoping to introduce a balanced option but the rollout would be incremental.
Nope. And you end up spending a fortune to get it balanced. The crank will need Mallory. It’ll be $500 minimum to have done. Better off buying a balanced kit of higher quality when you factor in the price. Not worth it.

Which direction do these rods go in since they do not have an arrow?
@@devoncharpenter5744 One side is beveled and one side is not inside the rod journal. That's how you tell
@@dangerousfreedom4965 No sir
@@dangerousfreedom4965 nope…. and they take a lot of $$$ to get it done. The cranks so out of balance it’s ridiculous.

You guys need to open a store in California !
You never know!
Looks like my bare 6.0 block is gonna get some goodies
If I buy a rotating assembly, will it need balancing? Or can I slap it right in after a good dingle berry hone?

Does the kits come with wrist pins ? And if they don’t what is the correct ones for this kit ?
Can you get a balanced rotating assembly?
Welp, it's been over a year. Can one get this balanced and ready to drop in, yet?
Not balanced?
I saw n a engine build where dey used 4032 pro ls pistons n a 6.0 iron block. Which pistons are better d 2618 r 4032 for d Lq4 6.0L
