The emphasis on Hulk searching for Jarella makes me wish that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had given him a role. I imagine that he would have been an interesting ally to the resistance, and could have provided some laughs by comparing Ant-Man unfavorably to Thor.
I should point out that during this period of the Hulk, even though Betty is hooking up with Talbot, General Ross is still willing to help Bruce with is plight without resorting to antagonistic methods. However when the Hulk returns to Earth after the marriage of Glenn and Betty, we will a glimpse of Ross compromising his integrity when confronting the Hulk, but that's another story.
13:40 : I hope no one takes my comment the wrong way, but.....: This is just one of the reasons why some fans of Ice Man were against him being made gay. There was a lot of evidence before this that Bobby Drake was Heterosexual. At the very least, it should have been said that he was Bi, and only now admitting that to himself. The more 'obvious' X-Man to make gay, in my opinion, would have been nightcrawler. Not only does the character have a significant fan base among the LGBTQ community (from what I have read elsewhere), but his background as a deeply religious man (Catholic) could factor into it. Even though NIghtcrawler has also had women to whom he was attracted in the past, he could be said he was denying he was Gay/Bi simply because his faith looked at that part of himself as 'Evil', and a good story could have been built around him accepting that about himself.
Apparently if I can remember, Nightcrawler had premarital sex with Silver Sable of all people, I don’t know why or how but it happened. Also, Kurt forsaken his religion for something called “The Spark” which is kind of religion of the self, whatever that means…
@@LegacyComics100 I would go on to say something that sounds like a 'South Park' meme, I know, but I'm serious: I would LOVE to see Elliot Page play Nightcrawler (or maybe Morph, I guess), 'returning' to the franchise for the first time ^_^
@@KainGerc There was even a 'theory' that it was Jean (the version from the past) that somehow put that in his mind, since it was her that 'revealed' to him he was Gay (a Powerful Telepath with the ability to alter people's thoughts). Just no good reason for why she would do something like that, though.
I think the big fight in #153 should have been the entire issue. Having all these heroes fighting the hulk in their own way only to be defeated one by one with Fury and Ross getting more and more desperate to the point they are considering using a nuke until Reed slips in with his device and finally stops the hulk. Then you could do something similar for the trial with lots of different characters offering their own testimony both for and against the Hulk.
Hulk on Counter-Earth was the first comic with Hulk that I read.
This was a nice surprise. I've never been a big Hulk fan, but this has really been a great series to follow.
I guess you could say, this retrospective has been pretty... INVINCIBLE!
Dammit, I knew I'd mess that up.
I love this hulk retrospective, favorite marvel character besides Spider-Man since I was a kid.
Really loving your long run histories
Been waiting a yr for this thsnk you kind sir
Always happy to see more of Hulk!
Hulk on comes earth sounds really awesome and badass
in the words of the famous Kermit T. Frog "It's not easy being Green"
Glad I got up early today!

SO many stories needed to be retconned for over 50 years just to pretend that Iceman was gay all along. (Bendis is such a hack writer)

Green! :D
These things will happen to you weather you let it out or not.
To be fair Iceman wasn't made gay yet 😅

Well of course Doc Samson isn't a Nazerite. Just because he's named after him, doesn't mean that he's a reincarnation of the Biblical Samson.
Did i miss parts 2-8 🤔
I'm going out on a limb and say: yes
