B- Mask MCU better have Keeping the dream alive In the FF film. Because I really liked how you made the intro with it & I feel like this might fit for inevitable film
What I love about Doom is that the rest of the universe sees this unstoppable conqueror that will burn the multiverse to ash for absolute power, but the FF just see old Vic, that guy from college who never knew a petty grudge he wouldn't let go of...
I'd be mad too if i was more intelligent, more skilled, more powerful, loved by the citizens of the country I ruled, and yet constantly, wrongly, thought of as less than by a man who needs three other people to beat me.
@@6tiple6ix6afia "thought of as less" I don't think you actually read the comics, because Reed sees Doom for exactly the super genius he is, and is merely disappointed in him for using his intelligence to be the "unstoppable conqueror" that other people see him as. After all, Doom has even saved people Reed care about, why wouldn't he appreciate and respect him? He even healed his facial scarring when given the chance.
@@MrElbowsmashI don’t know where these people get this perception of Mr Fantastic from. I guess people just don’t read comics and need to constantly make up reasons to justify the public consciousness that the “FF are lame, weak, and boring”
I feel like people write off the FF the same way they write off Superman but for different reasons. And to me they are both equally as amazing and influential and critical to comics and superheroes. God I love comics. Thank you so much for this amazing video. If I had people to share it with I would share it a million times over!
I feel like FF needs a Superman The Movie or Superman TAS type representation that could attract newcomers and make them say; “Wow. This is cool as sh*t!”
I always feel like people enjoy being irreverent, hence Batman “fans” enjoy shitting on Superman and Iron Man/MCU fans disregard the Fantastic Four entirely Anybody who actually knows the history of DC and Marvel knows that you can’t understand them without Superman and the F4 respectively
I love that clip of Stan talking about Joan talking him into writing FF. They really were good to each other. I remember hearing about when he was in Mallrats, the whole monologue about "losing the one" he got himself that extra scene saying it was outta one of his comics because he did not want Joan to see it and think she wasnt his ONE

this is the type of video that a twelve year old will find when he's just beginning to get into comics that'll help solidify his fandom forever. Wonderful video mate
Let's hope so! For me around that age, it was that Lee-Kirby SS graphic novel, Bring On The Bad Guys, and the H-B cartoon as part of the "Hanna-Barbera's World of Super Adventure" second-run syndication!
My daughter's almost 7 and we're just letting her get into the MCU with Captain America 2 weeks ago (timeline order of course!). Thing is she started watching superhero video on (PBS videos??) on her own a few months ago and is really into it. She asks tons of questions (even how Scarlet Witch got her kids). But when she named all the Fantastic Four and described their powers about 2 months ago, I was beaming with pride. Even though this video is a little long I'm going to let her see it.
Holy shit. To someone who's ever only been exposed to the movies this video is mind blowing. How the FF never got a decent adaptation is now incomprehensible to me.
They keep getting the wrong people for the job? Avengers: EMH did a pretty good adaptation of the characters better than their own animated series at the time.
If you get past the corniness of it, the Roger Corman movie is actually pretty close to the spirit of early Fantastic 4. That's why so many people like it. You can find bad copies of it here on RUclips.
It was an honor to voice Ororo Munroe/Storm! I will gladly do it again, even when I finally voice her for Marvel/Disney. 🥰 Also as a Marvel fangirl, you documentary was so well thought out, paced, informative, and down-right enjoyable to watch. 😃💜💯
I keep re-watching this masterpiece every single month. It's so amazingly edited and the voice acting is even better than in some of the biggest AAA games out there. It's so *fantastic*.
Thank you, Wind Wind!! B- Mask is incredibly talented, well-informed, and sweet. I do certainly hope he does another one of these vids that includes Storm, too. ^_^
The actor who is voicing Doom is having way too much fun lol. For real, though, thanks for this video. I actually teared-up when you talked about John Byrne’s run on FF. One, because the industry has forgotten about his extensive, trend-setting contributions. And two, comics like the FF (Marvel’s true flagship title at the time) made me into the comic book fan I am today!
Same! My two favourite superheroes to this day are the Fantastic Four and She Hulk. I do not know if I'd even be as into comics as I still am if it wasn't for these runs being my introductions 😂.
Spider-Man: get bent, Johnny. That's just...icing. I love their banter with another. Couple bros who yank each other chains. The only thing i could think of as a corny/clever comback is Johnny saying "eat a fly, spider guy!"
He's always been Ben Grimm to me and I always refer to him as Ben. The Thing is too popular a name that even Mothra stole it in 1964 and John Carpenter make the name synonymous with aliens and body horror. Besides, Ben is much more than a "Thing" and it's the name my father introduced him to me by when I first seen the Fantastic Four cartoon as a kid on tv a life time ago.
@@Noname-ut1ye i completely agree i refer to him as ben as well. Cause despite his appearance he is still human he has hopes and dreams and bad days and good and yet he keeps toughening it out.to me he is is not the thing he is ben grimm ,ol blue eyes ,petunia's boy.
I can’t believe it’s taken me three years to discover this video, but I’m certainly glad I did! For so long I’ve felt self-conscious about liking the Fantastic Four because of people’s attitude that they’re “mainstream as hell” or as was said at the start of the video “vanilla”. However this video really highlighted what I love about the team and why I love them, and you know what? I’m not going to be ashamed anymore to say I like the Fantastic Four! Honestly I think their failure at expanding into other media has painted a lot of people’s views on them. People seem to think it’s the fault of the source material and not the people handling it not fully understanding the core and heart of said source material, a point which again is brought up beautifully here! I don’t know if you still read comments on a three year old video but you sir have my upmost respect for not just the subject of this video but the effort that went into making it! Made me proud to call myself a Fantastic Four fan again! Also, side note: Mark Waid making the FF's perception of God to be Jack Kirby gets a chef’s kiss from me! That is simply brilliant! Fantastic even!
Just wanted to say what an incredible video this is. When talking about super hero comics, people have a tendency to only talk about the most significant arcs and plot beats without discussing the characters in any real depth, and when talking about characters with such an incredible legacy as the Fantastic Four. Not only is simply talking about their entire history a step up, but doing it while contextualizing their adventures within the industry *and* while being funny is a genuinely incredible skill. From the impeccable Stan Lee and Jack Kirby issues that started it all to Waid's (imho) criminally underrated run, you've done an incredible job *really* talking about what makes my favorite super hero team so great. And because some of the more technical elements of this video blew my mind: -- Those voice actors are all perfect??? All of them nailed the multiple roles they were given and perfectly brought these scenes to life -- B-Mask videos always have incredibly editing, but the *flow* from panel to panel without relying on the dialogue beats in the speech bubbles was a *phenomenal* decision from a pacing standpoint, I don't even wanna think about how many pages and pages you had to download and edit, let alone the hours and hours and hours of getting those moments just right -- Jack Kirby's splash pages!!!! Those will always have a special place in my heart for how spectacular and quintessentially FF they are -- The bits about Mobius SS and the Imp*ssible M*n were great; I see you are a man of culture as well -- This is very specific taste, but mentioning the brief Marvel Zombies arc that cropped up in the comics with Black Panther and Storm? Genuinely one of the most pleasant surprises of the video, I really liked that run and those issues in particular when they came out! -- I knew as soon as parts of the Waid run appeared that Reed's monologue would be *somewhere* in the video. Thank you for both highlighting why Mr. Fantastic's character remains compelling and at the same time addressing the colossal mistakes made during Marvel's Civil War. It means a lot to a long-time fan to see someone properly articulate why these characters and their dynamics aren't as disconnected as first blush might lead some to believe. -- Acapella was A++ In short, thank you (and the voice actors, ofc, ofc, ofc) for making the best Fantastic Four movie of all time! That Jem movie deal is right around the corner, I'm sure ;)
I feel incredibly seen by this comment, in a wonderful way. It's genuinely gratifying to know someone saw what I was not only going for but how I might have gotten there. Thanks so much for reaching out!
Thank you for reminding me and many others how awesome the FF can truly be even if the movies haven’t done them justice the source material more than makes up for it.

You guys did well as the characters you voiced, especially you as Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman. You brought out the type of character she truly is. Suzy truly is the heart and soul of the Fantastic Four. No doubt. ;)
“Once upon a time, there was a very arrogant man who did something very stupid.” That crushed me. This is what makes him superior to Doom. The ability to injure his own ego in order to evaluate his actions and improve himself. Reed is arrogant, but he’s incredibly noble to acknowledge that and cast it aside for the greater good. To think, he began describing his origin the way we, his fans, would; that he was a genius and something incredible happened. To hear himself describe it so unglamorous, self-deprecating and down-to-earth is crushing, but such an amazing insight into his psyche and what makes him one of Marvel’s greatest heroes.
In the words of the Celestials "HOLY SHHHIIIEEEETTTT!!" Did not expect to find anyone who'd love the FF more than me, i'm so thrilled this video exists, with this caliber of talent too. (Oh yeah, Fantastic 4: World's Greatest Heroes is freakin amazing, i'm so glad tha it's on Disney+)
I really love the guy voicing Victor’s dialogue this is pretty much exactly how I’ve always imagined Doom’s voice. I really hope whoever plays this incredible character does a great job like this voice does
Every time I’ve seen Doom in other media, he always has an American or British accent. I actually never thought that he is supposed to have an Eastern European accent, even though that makes way more sense. I hope the upcoming movie knows this, too
@@Filmation77 Reading the third part of The Coming Of Galactus, and watching the adaptation on the 1967 Hanna-Barbera FF series, got me into the comics.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! Seriously, I've always loved the Fantastic Four and it pains me to see them treated like the bastard step child of the Marvel Universe, all because of a few crappy movies and questionable adaptations outside of comics. Without them, there would be no Marvel. Ben Grimm is still one of my favorite fictional characters of all time.
the run isn't over yet but I feel confident calling it here, another essential run of the FF is the current one by Ryan North. Gorgeous art, brilliant writing, every issue written like an episode of the Twilight Zone, if anything about B's video here interests you about these characters, there's no better place to start
I just realized this is the closest thing to a perfect video media art I’ve ever seen it does everything it’s trying to do perfectly and with every editing choice and line read you can feel the effortlessly authentic passion that everyone has put in and when you see that pure love and joy you can feel it too thank you for sharing this with me
I really hope you send this to Marvel, because this needs to be seen by them. This amazing and absolutely beautiful, easily the best tribute to the FF I've ever seen. Thank you for this.
After watching this multiple times, and reading The Fantastic Four: The Great American Novel, I now believe they are marvel's greatest characters thank you introducing me to the real Fantastic Four
I could gush about this video all day, but I'll keep it simple: This is the most perfectly encapsulated distillation of what about The Fantastic Four is so great and why it is that way. It's so good to hear a really honest, and un-jaded appraisal of Marvel's First Family because I feel like, somewhere along the way, it became cool to hate them and I think it's a testament to the subtlety of how people like Lee, Waid and Hickman presented the thematical material that so many people miss the forest for the trees. Also, holy crap were all of those comic moments in this video well-done. The voice-acting was spot on (especially for Reed, oh my god), and from something epic and bombastic like Future Franklin calling on Galactus (goosebumps) to Impossible Man's fun little asides to Reed's emotional monologue with Valeria, you've genuinely brought these moments to life and if you wanted to do FF motion comics, I think people wouldn't mind that, jus' sayin' But yeah tl;dr, fantastic video, pure joy to watch, comic scenes were excellent, and I'm inspired to go back and finish reading the Waid run 'cos I only read the first 7 or so issues when I was a kid
Thank you so much! I agree, people have been poking fun at the FF for years and often in the same ways, and that sadly became much more pervasive than their actual stories and adventures- I think many of those people actually regret this now, judging by the heel turns. I really hope I can help put a dent in that perception, though I imagine the films will always be what swings the pendulum now. Here's hoping the video has some reach before the next one gets truly underway. A motion comic would be fun, but a big part of me would just want to make original audio dramas or adventures at that point if I ever had the resources. However I've loved bringing key scenes in my head to life for the FF, and frankly I'd be open to doing that again for other characters too. (Thwip. Snikt. Crackle of lightning over Baron Zemo's face.)
@@BMask I just watched the video and I subscribed. Reed Richards is an excellent character and the best Reed Richards is the worst Reed Richards. "The Maker"
Rewatching this and that last scene with Reed telling the story of their lives to a baby Valeria Richards really hit me so hard. He really regrets what he put his friends through but despite everything they still love him and assure them what they are and have right now wouldn’t be the same without him. 🥹 I really wish the MCU FF would reach this type of emotional weight. Yet, seeing what the MCU is doing currently? I highly doubt it… I think the FF movie will be very safe at best with a few nodes to the comics, but idk if it’ll have the heart and soul like you demonstrated here. Regardless, this video will definitely be the definitive FF movie in my eyes. 😊
Thank you, so much. I have for years tried to tell people the importance of the Fantastic Four, and how amazing the characters and stories are and can be. Thank you so much for going to in depth about this incredible fictional team and sharing it. It has truly made me happy.
I have rewatched this video at least 5 times, it is arguably my favorite video on youtube This video has pretty much sealed my passion for comics and kickstarted my love for the FF all over again
*The best tribute to the Fanatstic Four I've ever seen.* Bravo, sir. Two years well spent. 👍 It's perfect. From the main presentation, to the music choices, to the voiceovers, to the Arrested Development reference. Simply fantastic. 😁
Not only do you perfectly explain the fantastic four and their charm but with the voice acting and the music and the direction you perfectly show the charm of the marvel universe as it was in the '60s dynamic fresh and interesting filled with so much character exactly how it should be
I always have an intense respect for the Fantastic Four, who are not only Marvel's First Superpowered Family, but also the progenitors of the Marvel Age of Heroes decades after World War 2. What's truly perfect about the Fantastic Four is that they may hold petty grudges and be at each other's necks (with Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm having a playfully antagonistic relationship, Reed Richards doing scientific work, and Susan Storm-Richards keeping the family glued together), but at the end of the day, they have a strong bond and love for adventure, discovery, and using their powers for the benefit of humanity while fighting alongside their fellow heroes and against ruthless villains including Doctor Doom (my favorite villain of the Marvel Universe). The Fantastic Four will always be a great family with the addition of Franklin and Valeria (Reed and Susan's children, the former named after the late father of the Storm Siblings, and the latter named after Doctor Doom's childhood lover) and Jo-Venn (a Kree boy) and N'Kalla (a Skrull girl) whom Ben and Alicia Masters-Grimm adopted as their own...and more importantly, I hold the Fantastic Four close and dear to my heart.
Even though the two stories are very different, I can't help but see a little bit of FF in One Piece. A band of misfits who'll get into arguments over the tiniest things, who often goof off and have absolutely no inclinations to hide who they really are, and are always excited about the next big adventure. Together, the Straw Hats all learned to be better people, overcame massive insecurities that have haunted them since childhood, and grew as a family. It makes me wonder if Oda has ever read Fantastic Four, and how much he's taken from it if so. Hell, even the villains often reflect the more negative aspects of the crew, and are themselves incredibly tragic people in a lot of cases.
Godspeed you should definitely check out one piece. It’s an amazing story full of phenomenal characters, stories, powers, villains, etc. It’s a massive story, so it can be quite daunting to start, but trust me it’s worth it. Even if you’re not into anime, one piece can still be greatly enjoyed anyways.
I've sort of realized how interesting they actually are, although I never really read their comics just bits of their cameos in other comics. Something about them, even to a "non-fan" like me makes them somewhat appealing. Like it's a untraditional group of superheroes who happens to also bond with each other like a family. It's not like the justice league where it's a bunch of heroes who became close friends. They even have an interesting dynamic with each other.
I know that feel, I am a huge Shazam fan and until the recent movie I always felt neglected in outside media, hell I was one of the few people that was annoyed at Marvel forcing them to drop the Captain Marvel name even though Billy came decades before not only Carol but Mar-vell himself. But in respect to the Fantastic 4 they are similar in that they shaped the medium and had a stablished legacy that pretty much had no representation for so long people don't know how important they were (outside of maybe a couple of decent adaptations in animation for both cases).
He'll always be Captain Marvel to us. 😌 Just wish they kept to calling him it in the comics, like they were allowed to, and left the comic title to be named Shazam... Pretty sure that's how it went, they can use the name inside the book, just not on the cover 🤔 Though i guess DC PR decided that was too confusing for consumers and just went with Shazam instead...which kind of makes it hard for Billy to tell people his name without...well.. 🥲
Crazy how synonymous you, this documentary, and The Fantastic Four have become for me since my viewing of this piece of work. Even when hearing of the cast announcement... I couldn't stop thinking of you and this retrospective. Thank you for putting so much passion into this entry of your curriculum vitae.

I read the Jon Byrne run endlessly as a kid and is one of my favourite runs ever. This video convinced me to read the hickman run after putting it off for years
I come back to this video constantly just to watch the section for Ben Grimm. He's so important to me as a character and I'm glad you could break down in about 2 and half mins why he's one of Marvel's best characters. Thank you again for this vid B.

It drives me crazy (and also breaks my heart) that some so-called Marvel fans would dare to say that the Fantastic Four aren't needed in the MCU. Not only we need them, the world and Hollywood owe these characters a fantastic adaptation in movie format.
@@mariomouse8265 I know, but truth is there are many MCU fans out there that don't read comics and base their opinions off how the characters are portrayed on film.
Goddamn, that was something else. I've never been huge on the F4 (though as an angry Jew, Ben's always been one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe), but I've always respected what they're about, though kinda felt like a full understanding of them was out of reach. Once again, your videos have given me a deeper, much richer understanding of a truly incredible piece of media. You're the best RUclipsr, man. Can't wait to see what you do next.
I want the last MCU film ever to end with that doom scene from hickman's secret wars and I want them to play the same song you used in this video. You took that moment from the comic and made it cinematic. Thank you.
Thank you for doing justice to my favorite superhero team who for 60 years have been great. The Fantastic Four deserve so much love and I hope that Marvel studios can do what the other films have failed to do: tell the story of the four in a way that honors them. Because they are so much more than the team who has Doom, Skrulls and all the cosmic Marvel stuff. They are a family and a kickass one at that. :)
This is a fantastic vid!! As a huge fantastic four fan myself I really appreciated someone else on RUclips giving them just as much love as I do, so thanks for this
B, you really blew me away. I could feel your love the subject matter permeate through every part of this video, from the editing to the gleeful way you described each character. The decision to include voice actors enhanced the memorable moments within the comics (Brendaniel as Galactus was a perfect match). I just love this video, I wish I could drop all my college work and read the four runs you recommended so I could gush about it with you.
So, is there anyone else who wants to see B-Mask do more comic book-related content in similar fashion to this? Seriously, the dude puts his all into these video essays. Probably moreso than any comic book RUclipsr I've ever seen.
..... Oh god dammit, you made me tear up at the end there. You hit it perfectly, nail on the head. Thank you so much to everyone who collaborated on this. This was wonderful
Once again you come out of nowhere with a well-thought-out, well structured, well-writen and well-it's-about-time-someone-did-them-justice project. :D Thank you. One of my favorite and most unexpected moments was your quite correct point(s) regarding the Incredibles, and their use of the template, rather than the parody or adaptation of the FF. I'll stop rambling, but I really would love to sit down and have a propper conversation with you at some point. Thank you for doing what you do. As a legally blind comics-lover; I cannot tell you how much I personally appreciate the monumental effort you always go through to provide insightful, entertaining, and inovative content. ~JP Corwyn
After watching this fantastic retrospective, I'm very excited with the casting and setting of the film. I believe this video will be revisited for many years to come as the definitive guide to the Fantastic Four. Thank you and the amazing work done by the voice actors (its what made me stay and watch it straight through like a film).
Man, Man, Man, Man for the love of Jack you left me without words... I hope someday the world will see through a good movie saga the wholesomeness and hopes for a better future that the good old Richards Family and Co bring to the world.
Beautiful. In under two hours of video, and apparently two years of research, you managed to capture the essence of what has kept the Fantastic Four so beloved nearly 60 years since their debut. And you're right. It really is the optimism that keeps them so engaging. It's certainly what has kept me a fan to this very day. Spider-Man, the X-Men, and now (thanks to the MCU) the Avengers may be more marketable with today's movie-based audience. But it all started with the Four. They have, and always shall be, Marvel's First Family and the World's Greatest Comics Magazine.
Yeah in the original Lee and Kirby comics that element was introduced in the same issue where Dr. Doom appears for the first time. In his first appearance he's like "Hey! I've captured Sue Storm. Go back in time and get black beard's magic jewels for me!" Then when Reed, Johnny and Ben travel back in time it leads to a chain of events that result in the thing becoming Black beard.
The year is 2022. The end of the year is coming and this video is still amazing. You put so much work into this and it shows. Thank you to all who was a part of it.
I have been a comic reader for a .....while lets just say. I've given up on Marvel and DC, and am leaning now more toward European and Indies, but I must say that your Video reminded me what's been lost, and why I got into comics in the first place. It was a well done and organized video, with a lot of obvious joy for your topic. Well Done sir.
This is such a wonderfully crafted project about characters and stories I care deeply about, and I don't think that love could be better articulated or expressed than it has been here. Awesome, awesome work that brought a tear to my eye, and which you should be incredibly proud of!
When I was 7 or 8, I picked up a comic book at the dollar store. It turned out to be a really low quality black and white printing of the first 3 FF comics from 1961. This was, besides the culture I had absorbed through osmosis, my first encounter with the MU (fitting), a fascination that I still carry to this day
So are you telling me that The Avengers have literally stolen the FF's place as the main pillar of Marvel? That's some bullshit because the FF are so much more interesting than The Avengers.
This is one of the most impressive video essays I’ve ever seen on this site. The writing and the voice acting brought me to tears of joy a few times. Thank you and everyone who worked on this project.

Wonderful video mate
Let's hope so! For me around that age, it was that Lee-Kirby SS graphic novel, Bring On The Bad Guys, and the H-B cartoon as part of the "Hanna-Barbera's World of Super Adventure" second-run syndication!
@KJ Beast It's surprising that there's not videos about that many comic book characters.
For me it was the Hanna Barbera cartoon that got me into Fantastic Four.

I actually teared-up when you talked about John Byrne’s run on FF. One, because the industry has forgotten about his extensive, trend-setting contributions. And two, comics like the FF (Marvel’s true flagship title at the time) made me into the comic book fan I am today!

I am beyond thrilled to see someone who's never read the comics now, after seeing this video, calling him Ben.
Same for me. Never read comics, but I still gasped at Ben's death like I was watching Game of Thrones 🤣

And because some of the more technical elements of this video blew my mind:
-- Those voice actors are all perfect??? All of them nailed the multiple roles they were given and perfectly brought these scenes to life
-- B-Mask videos always have incredibly editing, but the *flow* from panel to panel without relying on the dialogue beats in the speech bubbles was a *phenomenal* decision from a pacing standpoint, I don't even wanna think about how many pages and pages you had to download and edit, let alone the hours and hours and hours of getting those moments just right
-- Jack Kirby's splash pages!!!! Those will always have a special place in my heart for how spectacular and quintessentially FF they are
-- The bits about Mobius SS and the Imp*ssible M*n were great; I see you are a man of culture as well
-- This is very specific taste, but mentioning the brief Marvel Zombies arc that cropped up in the comics with Black Panther and Storm? Genuinely one of the most pleasant surprises of the video, I really liked that run and those issues in particular when they came out!
-- I knew as soon as parts of the Waid run appeared that Reed's monologue would be *somewhere* in the video. Thank you for both highlighting why Mr. Fantastic's character remains compelling and at the same time addressing the colossal mistakes made during Marvel's Civil War. It means a lot to a long-time fan to see someone properly articulate why these characters and their dynamics aren't as disconnected as first blush might lead some to believe.
-- Acapella was A++
In short, thank you (and the voice actors, ofc, ofc, ofc) for making the best Fantastic Four movie of all time!

“Once upon a time, there was a very arrogant man who did something very stupid.”
That crushed me.

The people doing the voice acting for each character did such a good job. Their voices are perfect.
The voice-acting was spot on (especially for Reed, oh my god), and from something epic and bombastic like Future Franklin calling on Galactus (goosebumps) to Impossible Man's fun little asides to Reed's emotional monologue with Valeria, you've genuinely brought these moments to life and if you wanted to do FF motion comics, I think people wouldn't mind that, jus' sayin'
But yeah tl;dr, fantastic video, pure joy to watch, comic scenes were excellent, and I'm inspired to go back and finish reading the Waid run 'cos I only read the first 7 or so issues when I was a kid

He really regrets what he put his friends through but despite everything they still love him and assure them what they are and have right now wouldn’t be the same without him. 🥹 I really wish the MCU FF would reach this type of emotional weight. Yet, seeing what the MCU is doing currently? Absolutely Fantastic!
That "Jesus Christ, Benjamin" killed me.
Yes
I don't fuck with anime usually but you're making a strong case for One Piece
Godspeed you should definitely check out one piece. It’s an amazing story full of phenomenal characters, stories, powers, villains, etc. It’s a massive story, so it can be quite daunting to start, but trust me it’s worth it. Even if you’re not into anime, one piece can still be greatly enjoyed anyways.
Godspeed in this case you should keep it that way, the anime severely fucks up the pacing, the best way to experience it is with the original manga
Also relatable to MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy
Also the leader has stretchy powers
Honestly over the past few years I've re-watched this video more than any Marvel movie in my life.
Just wish they kept to calling him it in the comics, like they were allowed to, and left the comic title to be named Shazam...
Pretty sure that's how it went, they can use the name inside the book, just not on the cover 🤔
Though i guess DC PR decided that was too confusing for consumers and just went with Shazam instead...which kind of makes it hard for Billy to tell people his name without...well.. 🥲
Here comes B-Mask explaining what it needs to be explained.

It drives me crazy (and also breaks my heart) that some so-called Marvel fans would dare to say that the Fantastic Four aren't needed in the MCU.

Shout out to all the voice actors in this, all were perfect.
I think I’ve watched this more than 20 times. My go-to when I’m down. I think it’s the greatest video on the internet.
So, is there anyone else who wants to see B-Mask do more comic book-related content in similar fashion to this? Seriously, the dude puts his all into these video essays. Probably moreso than any comic book RUclipsr I've ever seen.
I do
ME!! ✋🏽With either Spider-Man or The X-Men
The "oh so wonderful my love" moment is the most beautiful tribute to the FF. I cried.
Hell yeah dude you’re a man and I wish you the best
Man, Man, Man, Man for the love of Jack you left me without words... I hope someday the world will see through a good movie saga the wholesomeness and hopes for a better future that the good old Richards Family and Co bring to the world.
1:25:16 probably my favorite scene in this whole thing, Johnny going "Im gonna call that a win." 😂
This video made me realize that the Fantastic Four are actually awesome
I need to read these comics
I thought the whole Ben Grimm is Blackbeard thing was a TV show only thing. What a surprise.
This vocalized all of my feelings about the FF in ways that I previously thought could never be put to words. Seriously, great work.
This is such a wonderfully crafted project about characters and stories I care deeply about, and I don't think that love could be better articulated or expressed than it has been here. Awesome, awesome work that brought a tear to my eye, and which you should be incredibly proud of!
36:48 “I call them “Space Hillbillies”. They’ve been fueding since before dinosaur walked the earth and they’ll be fighting long after we’re gone.”
Another man who understands how great the 4 are
Man, I love how everything is tied around the Reed and Victor relationship. It's so compelling.
This video actually convinced me they have the best rivalry in comics.
This is perfect, finally, someone who understands why this family is truly and utterly Fantastic.
