The reason they made the healing turret scale like this was to give another regen option for all characters (especially those who have restrictions on healing sources) while not making it brainless OP for the couple of engi-centric characters.
(Hex) My opinion on shop price increase is that I only like it on characters that make sense like the mutant where it fits the theme of a character with a bunch of raw stats but few items. As a general debuff it does indeed kinda sucks

Now you can try technomage but with 6 red screwdrivers, with such high structures attack speed it will be 6 mines every 0.5 sec or even faster absolutely bonkers!
at 9:53 the calculation I thought of is that turrets give 18 damage elemental (9x1), to obtain the total number of elemental damage we add 47 from objects and increase in levels (47+18=65), and we multiply 65 by 5 (5% of attack speed of turrets for 1 elemental damage) to obtain the total attack speed of the turrets which is 325%
I don't 100% know what you mean, but the 65 in the brackets refers to 65% structure attack speed. These abilities usually mention "permanent", which means you need to purchase it directly. So something like the Lucky Coin doesn't increase the % damage Pearl gives (based on Luck), only if Luck is directly increased. Same here.
You are so right about the balancing. It doesn't really makes sense to overbalance the endgame, because as you said, if I can't try out the builds I want I will just stop playing. And that can't be the goal
i really enjoy the commentary/expansion of your meaning with on-screen text when your audio commentary has not enough time to fully elucidate before moving on to the next stage of gameplay!
Really hyped to see how insane this attempt looks, just died with this character at wave 26 after killing wave 11 and soo on bosses after they took revenge on me because i got poor
I agree with your stance on all the nerfs in endless modes. Balanced stuff happens in the main game, just let me have ridiculousness afterwards. My favorite part about roguelikes isn't usually the actual challenge, but getting a stupidly overpowered build going. I want to be able to outscale the endless modes. I want my builds to actually feel powerful
Removing guaranteed crates better not go into the live patch and become permanent , thats a really bad change. Whats the point of killing the bosses anymore?
5:08 No, you save more per cupon. if a item cost 100, first cupon, 95 second cupon, 90 third, 85 So on. But you know math so you understand just by seeing this that each next cupon is more valuable than the prior one.
Na it was just a logical problem, my brain automatically jumped to cumulative calculations, so 10% of 200 is 20, but 10% of the leftover 180 is only 18, so the first one saved 20 material while the next one would save only 18. But it's additive, which...I know, but many games have cumulative effects so my brain jumps around between the 2 ways often
@@DexTag Ah. Well, very fair and very relatable. Switching context is a cognitive wrecker famed for is effectivness. I can assure many brain farts is a result of it, in my case atleast.
Hey I was watching this video a couple days ago and I recently started playing brotato myself... and basically... I got snowball on wave 2 on my first run as technomage, just started the run hope it'll go well from here
I would suggest trying out cyborg with the nail. He only loses 20% damage on his rapid fire weapons upon conversion which, considering how insane his damage growth is, is still crazy. It gets worse with weapon upgrades and you have to get the item pretty early, but I had a lot of fun with it. Definetely makes the guy way easier to use
I should probably thank you, I really struggled with the technomage and the strategy from this video made me win instantly. Tbf, I didn't want to use turrets because they were bugged in my game and only shot targets when they were standing right on top of the turret (garden was also broken and gave like 1 fruit a second, but also only when standing right on top of it), probably some issue with the Brotatogether Mod I had installed
That was a pretty fun video but if u want to scale turret attack speed faster u absolutely need the upgraded tools. (It's a reward given after winning with the cyborg) It basically reduce by half your attack speed the turret attack speed (on top of giving 10% attach speed to your character) Only problem is that i play on phone so i don't know if the pc version got it. Anyway it's B U S T E D. Btw really like u'r content man :D
The issue is that it scales worse. 1 level up in Elemental damage is equal to 5% turret attack speed. 1 level up of the same rarity in Attack Speed is worth 2.5% turret attack speed. A basic elemental item gives 2 elemental damage, 3 with the Snowball so 15% structure attack speed A basic attack speed item gives 10% attack speed, so 5% structure attack speed The only time it makes sense to use that would be on characters designed for it, something like Loud with Ghost Flints, but on him you don't really care about it then
Huh? I know this is subjective, but how doesn't Bull make the #1 spot for easiest boss O.o I'd say Gargoyle is definitely easy, but not if you need to melee attack him to kill him, since he spawns everything in melee range. And Monk is somewhere in the top 3 easily, just spawning eggs that get destroyed by fire spread while the first mutation is just 5 projectiles, then he reutrns back to the egg spawning. And I'd say Mother is easy in a fire spread build just because you can hit the Aliens that spawn and it will spread to her while giving you insane amounts of material
Btw i ran this last night with a similar build but got pocket factory, 5 trees and 2 cursed trees. I was able to afk til wave 40 using wands a fireball and a flamethrower with like 4 sausages and 6 snakes lol
For some reason, the elemental damage gained from your structures doesn't count towards your structure attack speed (probably because it would be too much). Weirdly enough, it also doesn't get converted into engineering with the strange book
@@risingtoastcheesecake4730 Wha-, but it is providing a Permanent Elemental Damage Bonus, why wouldn't it provide the Structure Attack Speed? That sounds like a bug, and not a feature.
Iirc, the sausage adds damage to the flame turret now, so, not getting flame turrets because you have sausage is no longer a correct justification :P that being said, do minimize the number of flame turrets to non-wrenches because the flames sadly only reset as a timer instead of stacking for each turret
Are legendary weapons just insanely rare or is there a prerequisite? Because I haven't found any and I've played like, a good amount, idk if you can check hours on mobile. Only red weapons I've seen were weapons of lower tiers, like I haven't seen the scythe or anything.
unless you have really high amounts of luck or a crazy economy to reroll a lot, you're really not gonna see them much. But there's no prerequisite apart from the ones you unlock through achievements (eg. Excalibur and the new accelerator or whataver it's called)
I don't know why your turrets attacked so slow. On my game when i hit attack speed into structure attackn speed they start shooting faster than the minigun.
You know doing this run a few times highlights what is a major flaw in this game at this point, there is now too many items in the game making the pool far too big and it seems not enough weighting towards what you are doing. Ended up wave 15 with 5 white wrenches and one blue one while purple guns were rolling in the shop and mostly nothing but items. Not a hard build to finishing lvl20 but getting the unique elemental items you want was just frustrating, ended up 100elm dam with no sausage and no strange book.
Taking elemental damage in a level up doesn't even give the snowball stats. Shame. So the 100 or so materials rolled in the lvl 10 levelup were kinda wasted. Considering you want the maximum elemental damage for a whacky run, it was worth it tho
there's something you should try, with GMO mod combine two characters, that is Renegade with Renegade, so you'll have -160% of %dmg modifiers so in general -%dmg items will give you dmg and +dmg items will take your dmg away
