The word of God is clear, same sex relationships are a sin. The moment any church blesses sin is the moment God removes his love from the church. Theres no debate, theres christians who follow Gods word, and theres people who call themselves christians who turn from God.
Of all the "Sins" in the Bible why did Jesus not even mention it ONCE if it was a problem worth addressing. Why would you deny someone the write to be able to be there FULL and COMPLETE self. It is NOT a choice people in the community make, many wish they weren't because they WANT to be good christians, but are unable to give up one for the other, because... just think... turning away from any feelings of love would be a direct and conscious lie against who Jesus was. All the arguments using verses in the bible refer to NON consensual or perverse actions, NOT acts of love and respect. It's time people see others for who they are, instead of just wanting to shove everyone into the same mold, because that just causes those to lie and cheat... and THAT, that IS a sin, a deadly sin.
In response to your question "why would you deny someone the right to be able to be their FULL and COMPLETE self", I would say this: Every human beings' FULL and COMPLETE self is fallen, corrupt and not how God created us to be, even in this situation. When we turn to Christ we say with Paul "it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me", (I would encourage you to read Galatians 2:17-20 to get the full context). Well, it focuses on what the C of E actually states, which is what all clergy sign up to. This is a surprise to some clergy! I’m an Anglican on the other side of the world watching and praying for this to come to a clear end which will GROW Gods Kingdom. I’d be grateful for an answer. Blessings all.
I suspect that might be a significant driver. The main argument is one of justice, and some bishops appear to be ruthlessly committed to driving this through. But why are there so many? Gay people represent only 1.8% of the population. Why is the C of E so attractive to them?
@@Psephizo the Telegraph this year made an unevidenced assertion that up to 40% of C of E clergy are gay. That seems jolly high to me, but a figure like that would explain things.
