- As part of a new series creating beats on the fly out and about in nature, here's the second beat I captured in the morning perched on a rock in the middle of a beautiful stream. Here, I am using Komplete 14 Collectors Edition with Maschine and Komplete Kontrol M32 by Native Instruments.

Thanks - the scarbee basses in Komplete are pretty good. Having a good feel for bass articulation and lines really helps these instruments shine.

@@quelsmusic3791 I use all of them dependent on what's needed. P bass is a safe bet for fatness across all genres. J bass good for funky articulations.
I also love the MM bass for pretty much anything needing a bit of grunt, and the Rickenbacker has some great presets to add character to the bottom end.

Extensions: chords are all minor 9ths. I'm improvising using a mix of Dorian mode, blues scale, and stepping out using strong shapes from chromatic neighbouring key centres.
