Very informative dude!
DANG HAHA
This is a very cool 'behind the curtains' look at how non musicians make music. I'm not taking the piss! I Genuinely enjoyed this vid.
Nerdhound ?
Nice video. But you forgot to add After Touch to this keyboard!
Look I think that would have been a nice touch but I think it would have stepped up the price alot, I think in portability and aftertouh the Arturia Keystep is still the way to go
@@geekindakitchen yup, but lacking all the nice knobs ;)
Donny Darko yeah I know right
would someone tell me why NI dumped S25? Thanks
It was replaced by the A25 and apparently NI doesn't think a 25-key S keyboard controller has enough footprint for two screens.
@@johnnyparker2128 thanks, I thought A25 and S25 came out at the same time, that's why I'm asking. I guess the A25 is the same as this M32 just 25 regular keys and the same guts, right, Thanks
WHy not!?
When I hear the beginning of this beat before he adds the chords it sounds like a Busta Rhymes beat
Can we use it with FL Studio?
They say that after this, he stopped outside, to record how a plastic bag danced with the wind.
i got it.
hi!
the keyboard does not go through the audio interface but directly into the computer?
Yes, directly into computer via USB
How do you map the knobs to kontakt?
"So you can really like plawlawlawlawk" 0:34 - 0:35
Prizmadelik Always wished i could play like that but never quite reached plawlawlawlawk level

i'm sold

lol lol lol
Great demonstration! Also THANK YOU for not having a long intro. Nice to have someone get right to the point, and make it so cogently for the product.
Best video on this keyboard and it’s functions so far !!! Sold me on it. Got mine today. Very pleased all around so far. 🙌🏾
How is your experience after 1 year?
Ankit Anand no complaints. Excellent smaller keyboard. Highly recommend !!
Thank you so much
I don't quite get it how he managed to control Maschine 2 with M32 keys while playing in Komplete Kontrol. Anybody, please, explain me how this MAD did it, i BEG you!
Ahhh, that's not MASCHINE, its ABLETONE!
Same problem here, Ableton can't find any plugins eventho I have MK32 controller installed and some free plugins from Native instruments also don't pop up on Ableton lite.. plus the keyboard won't swap between samples in KompleteKontrol and working in Ableton.. what a hell
Mad Zach is talented.

Most people who do these video cover up the "Apple" logo as if we don't know what they are using.....lol
Almost every time 🍏 have a major update, they break software compatibility so why would NI give them free advertising.
Meld - The easy way is... no update as soon the update is released.
@@MrSergit Look at it from a software developer's perspective. You have to recode your software eventually which costs time & money and you have to pay 🍏 for privileged data in order to do that.
That's not why. "lol"
Because they want to decrease the chance of lawsuit to 0%. If the guy in the video pulled out his penis and started masturbating to a porn in the MacBook, then that looks bad for Apple, so Apple would come and sue the guy for defaming the sacred brand. That's why people cover logos (especially Apple's) because they don't wanna risk getting sued. Have a lovely day.
laptop, m32, audio interface and speaker. EDM here i come !
How does it work with non Native Instruments software? Previous NI controllers were very unstable when used just as MIDI controllers without the NI software.
I also wanna know.
shhh Here's my money
Dope🔥🔥🔥 4:14 reminds me Obie Trice - The SetUp
Val M right?! Last time I saw you...
I love being able to start recording right at the controller. It’s been a great first midi controller.
Is Zach using his own computer here? It's an older MBP (pre 2016) than the ones native usually used in its promo videos.
i wanna full music production course from this guy, he is lit!
That would be seriously cool, I agree!!!!
So good - both the controller and Zachs explanation and tune! Keep 'em coming :)
Sounds like "Obie Trice - The Setup". :D
D-One it does omg 😮
Makes banger - "cool"
LEEEEEEGAAAAAAATTTOOOOOO MOOOOOOODE.....kills me everytime he says it
I can't stop thinking about a 25 key version of this controller.
If it only had the lights like the bigger controllers I’m still gonna buy the m32 regardless 😂
At 7:46, you suddenly got my attention... that instrument made me think of the noise from "Realm of Impossibility" video game, when the player drops crosses and monsters are stunned:
ruclips.net/video/LdGBA0FG7Gk/видео.html
Do the arp and chord features work in regular daws ? Or only if connected and using sounds through Komplete kingdom ?
Cool demo, Mad Zach is dope
Does the m32 work well in Maschine paired with the Mk3 mikro?
Just got this today. I'm in love with it!
It comes with abelton inside the box?
i will buy this keyboard next month, together with micro machine. I can't wait!!! :D
did you buy it? thinking about doing the same...
I bought the mikro maschine 2 and ima buy this one soon
hey great video i have just got myself a M32 but i cant get komplete kontrol to work correctly with ableton live 10 lite and its really frustrating can you help at all??
4:27 Holy shit, that’s the Myxomatosis-sound (the track by Radiohead)!!
Just got my m32 but have no idea how to intergrate it with ableton please help!!! I know komplete Kontrol M daw as a control surface but idk how to get it work!!! I have a windows 10 computer how do I get it to work so smoothly like this!!
ruclips.net/video/nPrq2OjrGNw/видео.html
Does anyone know how did he load up maschine sounds to record midi in Ableton? Did he do ir through maschine 2 itself or through Komplete Kontrol?
Yeah I’m wondering the same if I shoud use ableton lite or not 🤔
I am just non-electronic musician, know how to play banjo and guitar and may be a few other stringed instruments. But intrigued with electronic music and trying to wet my feet in this realm. First step is to get a MIDI keyboard. I absolutely loved how Zach made some dope music from scratch as he demonstrated the features of the keyboard. Thank you! I have subscribed and hope to see more of your content.
Nice, really. It has some really cool features my S25 has too! Except it doesn't. At least since last month Win 10 update. OK for sure they're banging on things at NI, so let's try out that cool Komplete Kontrol update because it has all the cool features implemented, like Scale and Arp. Oh, it doesn't work either. That was a little unexpected the second time. But ok I have time I can wait. Things can only get better^^
I'm after the answer about the integration with other DAWs, especially with less used ones, for example Mulab. Could you tell me about that, please?
1:35 NO.
Hi Sarah
1:32 - what doing there, turning off 'record' from the push encoder wheel? (how to define loop length on the fly?)
This has got to be in the top 3 midis and I would put this on 1 because it’s portable small packed in with soooo much good features I rate 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for this it’s 139$ or maybe even cheaper if you can find one
It's great! It would be even better if it were open source! This Mad Zach guy is very talented!
i love you Native Instruments
I am very tempted to get this as a portable keys controller for when I am on the go. Currently I use the Maschine Jam which is excellent as a portable controller. Mad Zach played a big part in me getting that as well.
Mascine jam like me;)
That intro music is off the grid wonky that makes wonky think 'Damn that be Wonky" like JDilla down the back of the bookcase in Interstellar.
This comment is underrated
what's the integration with Maschine? does it pair well with the mikro mk3?
Great product, great player :-)
Key velocity on my m32 is super soft, I really need to hammer the keys to reach 80+. Anyone suffer from the same problem?
Miguel Melo has pretty sure you can change that in the settings of komplete kontrol
@@sprb4725 Alas, that feature is not available on m32 keyboards :-( www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/komplete-kontrol-velocity-curves.270283/#post-1937465
you can fix velocity on the keyboard itself, hold the shift key and press "octave down" button
Thanks Mad Zach
The Plawlalalala moment never came! What could it be?
Can’t wait to receive it! Too bad I had 84$ more to pay because I’m in Canada tho, even if when I bought it, it was saying that I shouldn’t have delivery taxes:/
Good track, smart controller 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The words were sick, the playing was even sicker...🤢. 💀
Hahahaha that last solo man! OMG!
Heads up for PC users: This (just like the Mikro Mk3) will only work in Windows 10. Anything below that is not supported, which is a shame as it cuts out a lot of potential buyers (i know more people that haven't switched to Win10 than ones that have). Would be great if an update would be released to make this available for Win7 users as well.
Interesting... Here you don't write about it can't control the daw only the NI Software... I searched the whole internet there was nothing... Or is this caused by incompatibility with older OS than win 10? And if you meaning changed you should delete your other comment or solve it. Cause you could stop people buying this, though it's very good, would be sad anyone would get this cause you shared a wrong opinion. This is no front or anything. Opinions and knowledge changes... Would be great if you would revise it. If it's wrong, maybe there's a hidden truth... But I think there's an option to use it as daw-controller. It is written in the product description, that it is possible, I think they don't write things to sell their products they aren't true...
@ Jonah For the M32/A-Series keyboards (same technology) problems in regards to using them as a controller in Ableton etc. go to the NI forums (especially the "Komplete Kontrol" sub forum). As for incompatibility with any Window versions below Windows10, go to the respective "Requirements" section of the M32/A-Series/Maschine Mikro NI products page. I'm not making stuff up.
@@beatz04 I read something with a Midi- remote script which should allow to use as a daw-controller. The product itself is very good I think, but if it's impossible to use it as a daw-controller this wouldnt be worth it to buy. Sadly. But I think it's a software thing. Do you own the m32 and found out that what you're meaning by yourself?
Here a text from NI support in the forum: "If you're referring to Live's built-in plug-ins, you'll need to switch the M32 into MIDI mode (SHIFT+PLUG-IN button), then you can MIDI learn parameters from Live's plug-ins to the knobs on the M32. When the M32 is in Komplete Kontrol mode, it will only control parameters of the instruments and effects that are loaded in the Komplete Kontrol instrument rack or the transport and Mixer controls."
Well, but it's only possible via mapping. So you've to set the parameters byyourself, what is the same thing like at Alesis v49, akai apc40 mk2 has the presets because it's complete prepared for the use of Ableton... With my Alesis v49 have to set the parameters by myself that's not the problem I think.
Nice video Zach. That is a good tool for a low budget studio like mine. You sold me man.
For which songs this mad zach is famous for? no because is 7 years I see him explaining to us how to do things, but I am not sure how he does things. please let me know, i am very curious to learn.
NO MENTION of fixed MIDI on the product page or specs page.
Anyone that wants to map CC avoid this product.
Only discovered after purchasing one. This detail is hidden in a help page. A one paragraph blurb. Failure.
Ethnic Flute is my Rusted Root cover band.
And then you pull out the Scarbee Mark I, and I go: That is my old Rhodes. Like litterally. My buddy Thomas (Scarbee) borrowed my Rhodes for what ended up being about a year of sampling. Upside was, that he returned a perfectly adjusted and tuned Rhodes. :-D
Dear Native Instruments:
How about making a controller with 5 octaves of the same keys as on the M32? There is a largely overlooked market for 5-oct controllers with minikeys. It would also be nice to have a mod wheel and pitchbend wheel as an option with this same form factor.
A.H.
Agreed, that would be cool
ilikemusak - I bet there are a lot of other people in the world of electronic music who would like 5 octaves of quality minikeys, especially in the modular community. Korg has had this available for years now in several versions with the MicroKey 61, which I own and like (for the most part). It's quite nice to have 5 full octaves that take up so little space on the desk. Plus it gives your fingers more reach across notes, letting you do things you can't on full-size keys. Throw in polyphonic aftertouch, eight or ten assignable rotary encoders, cv/gate, and 5-pin DIN midi and some company will have a controller many thousands of people will want.
@@anonymoushuman8344 I love my Microkey 49. Next controller is going to be an M-Audio Axiom or NI Komplete Kontrol.
Mad Zach is a G
Native M32 works perfectly on Logic Pro X? Works well too with kontakt, Arturia's and others vsts apps? Sorry my english!
Zach is back!!
I'm a newbie at this, how did he connect his Komplete kontrol to Ableton ? I can't seem to be able to load any sounds from KK to the keyboard neither..............:-(
I can not find this sound on KOMPLETE KONTROL M32: ruclips.net/video/FArCzukz8jI/видео.html
Cool
Is their anyone that can explain to me why my transport keys are not working for the complete M 32. The only thing that works is the midi keys.. I went through all the steps and using ableton that comes with the package.
ableton version 10.0.5 or higher so you can actually put komplete kontrol as a control surface. In short... actually buy Ableton and stop using a cracked version.
Bro.. ableton live lite is free with the keyboard & operations system up to date. Quit assuming smh
the keyboard comes with the application abelton?!?!?!??????
6:35 OMG FF7!!! Great video man cheers.
Hey, thanks!
Awesome, can't wait to get mine. But why use the D-knob as a button for recording rather than the dedicated record button?
Great keyboard, great demonstration! That delay-ed lead at 8:21 sounds really good!
By the way: Bexy Sitch :D
You can easily do it with any plugin, by assigning and defining arpeggio..
Agree. Im on repeat with that moment :D
Is the M32 compatible with the Melodics portal?
The way he says mode is hillarious
Does it also work as a midi for other non related plug ins?
Yes it does
0:34 Looped this like ten times in a row.
Hi, does the M32 keyboard come with the Accessibility Helper app, used in Maschine software?
Thanks.
NI. Very good
Does anyone know about a case for this sweet thing? I ordered one and would like to transport it.
Wish they had made it a 25 key. Looks just a little too long to throw in a backpack. Maybe I’m wrong???
Hopefully they might make a M25 but I think the m32 fits quite nicely in my Dry Red No 5 by Crumpler to be honest.
The review is amazing but the beat is a mess if you ask me :D Thanks for the video though!
Can this work with SONAR Professional?
nice, can't wait for mine to come in
Scale and chord mode are not working. The velocity is very quiet so the natural playing is not possible. I use Maschine MK2 and the NI Maschine Software. Please help!
I love how streamlined that was. Nice work, Mad Zach!
Why is there a Kensington Lock on the back of the keyboard?
This is great, really puts everything into context so well!
Hi guys. Is this keyboard compatible with an android phone? I am a complete novice so maybe you may find this question stupid. Is it an apple-type of device which is can work only inside a very restricted eco-system or it can work with other software?
Micro keys are the worst thing ever.
Rutten - Skream! I knew I've heard this flute sound somewhere!
Can anyone Equalize an instrument, for example: can you take a piano sound wave in to 440hz , amplify it and distortion it?
4:44 5:25 8:10 Всего 7 нот , но как круто получается.
What about a review of the A series?
Andrew Huang has got you covered: ruclips.net/video/5xvUYH9S-oM/видео.html
@@NativeInstruments 😉
Guys cannat find the answer. Can you connect expression pedal and half sustain pedal in to this?!!
I bought this. One hell of a keyboard
I get mine in two days. I can't wait. Great video!
I can use Native Instruments Komplete Audio 1 USB Audio Interface ? Or will be better Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2 USB Audio Interface ?
Was trying to decide between this and Arturias lab series, good to know a lot of things that was making me lean towards the keylab are also featured on this and is still in the Native Instrument family like I’ve grown accustomed to. Makes my decision that much harder!
Aj Martinez: I'm going for the Arturia Minilab mkII, despite the fact I've got NI's Komplete 11.. If you use Ableton, and if this is anything like the A-25, which I tried, then I'm sure that Arturia machines communicate better with Ableton..
@@noodlingaround2023 bought this and am now selling my minilab mk2. this is much better with ableton.
Frak Beats, how is better if you don't mind me asking? I read the knobs on the Arturia, being endless, were better to control Ableton's effects. And the A-25 I had was a pain when trying to map the knobs to the effects. Does the M-32 map pretty easily..? The Arturia's size is also better for portability..?
