Will this control (continuous control with knobs and ribbon strips) Serum within presonus studio one 4.5? Will the transport controls work with studio one?
The transport controls will not work with Studio One. The keyboard will still function for midi though, and perhaps you'll be able to map the knobs to Serum, it will not be automatic though.
One huge downside for anyone wanting to buy this is that it ONLY really works on native instrument plug ins. you want to control serum? Tough luck. Lol SUPER disappointed that this thing is VERY limited and I HAVE to use NI plug ins and that also stupid kontrol plug in to be able to use the full keyboard. They can be remapped and if in another DAW you can use them to control automation etc just as you could with other midi-keyboards.

Could they have made that screen ANY smaller? come one NI... you have TONS of room up there... couldnt' cost that much to make the screen a bit larger... maybe even color!
Ciaoooo and thank you for the great review! I've a couple of questions. The 2 strips can only used to change octaves or can they be used to modulate and/or apply effects on the notes we are playing? And can I assign a sound (recorded by me) to each key? For example if I wish to split a song chorus into pieces, could I assign each piece to each key? For example in the chorus "No rhyme, no reason, No time, no season, No rhyme, no reason, This time, you're leavin'" I wish to assign "No rhyme, no reason" to one key, "No time, no season" to another key and so on... and play each part that I wish only pressing the right key. And could I also slow down or speed up the tempo of the chorus? Thank you heaps!

Hi
Thanks for your helpful reviews! After many months of M32 usage, I have to complain about the touch strips. In my opinion, they are very poor in quality. Firstly, I often unintentionally touch them with my left hand, especially the ModWheel, which frequently controls the dynamics of sample libraries. Do you think M32 is worth getting if you already have a mikro mk3? I realised that a lot of the software and instruments included are quite similar
Scale and chord mode are not working. The velocity is very quiet so the natural playing is not possible. I use Maschine MK2 and the NI Maschine Software. Please help!
Is there a way to transpose the keyboard, meaning change pitch in semitones, (Not octave shift), on the controller itself?
Did you find any way?
Hi, I decided not to get this one@@princedaniellilysam6584
Last comment 10months ago....wow, saw this on sale today, Really good Intro to the features of the M32, made me get 1 today, tnx mate.
Thank you! I've bought it. Does it support Cakewalk?
First time watching one of your videos and I’m subscribed!💯thank you
note repeat works only while in komplete software, doesn't work with ableton instruments. same for scale.
They should pu the LCD screen on this no matter if its a 32 key it would sell they worst than Apple with this type of shit
Your are a G! Thank you! ...you think they will integrate the M32 with FL Studio anytime soon?
No problem! It's been a bit slow coming but word from Native is that it is in development. People asked for it for their other keyboards last year and it was in their backlog, now they're working on it though so hopefully we'll see improved FL Studio integration some point this year - it's a bit vague unfortunately.
GetInTheMix brilliant! Thank you once again for the info man will be on the look out 🥂🍾 let me Sub!🏆
Stupid question here: What is that red box over on the left side of the screen? DO I need one?
Do the knobs also work with any 3rd party plugins and fl studio?!
the plugin mode buttton on my m32 doesnt do anything, the knobs still only control the volume
Can you set the arpeggiator to triplet subdivisions? Also, any update on Cubase integration? That's been saying "coming soon" for over a year now
hilarious editing particularly when the brass comes in lol
Is it compatible with other plugins like audio labs or serum?
Thank you heaps!
wich software are you using there?
He's using Maschine. You're right though - it would have been helpful for him to mention that!
are the 8 rotary encoders stepped or smooth?
The ones across the top are a smooth movement and the larger one for browsing on the right-hand side of the keyboard is stepped.
@@GetintheMix Thank you!
Does this work with studio one 4.5 professional?
That was a awesome video thanks....I LIKE!!!
Love me a good pythagoras scale
Haha i'm glad i'm not the only one who caught that
That scale is some of Pythagoras' finest work.
GetInTheMix apparently he did more than split the string in half!
Is there a step by step process, anywhere, to get this running on MAC
Great video and very informative. Ordered one yesterday and can't wait to try out. Been producing about a year at my home studio using Logic Pro with MPK Mini Player. Thanks for sharing. I have two songs that will be featured in a new virtural online concert called "Concerto-XL" Please check out when it comes out sometime in July, 2021.
I need this video spread out into 50 other videos over 6 months
so well explained, had to sub thank you
19‘27‘‘: that‘s a trumpet.
Nope.
Otherwise good review. You could be a bit clearer on what Laptop screens/interfaces are shown. Are we in Komplete Kontrol/Maschine/DAW ? The screen on the device itaelf is miniscule and just shows most basic information. If this had better keys and a slightly bigger screen it would be a nobrainer. I like 32 keys as this allows for 2 hands playing while still being portable.Thanks.
3:02 you can see on the LED screen here (can't see the screen)
would i need an audio interface for this to work?
This is a midi controller so no audio comes from the M32. It will operate just fine without an audio interface :)
@@GetintheMix so you don't need it to go through your focusrite? im so anxious about this. The audio interface has slot for midi/synths, but this thing goes through the computer via USB, .....ah wait.
so this is a tool to 'create notes' right? the daw is using the audio interface's sound driver, am i correct?
@@Yourmotwashum Yes. This keyboard doesn't make a sound. It acts as a midi trigger for virtual instruments and only needs to connect via USB, the audio comes from the DAW.
Any advise on how to transpose the keyboard by semitones?
Tell me if you find any way
I bought a new midi controller that can 😅
Where do I find the cheat sheets you referenced near the end of the video
Great video! I support u! Peace.
how do you connect it to the DAW to were you can add snip-its of sounds?
I believe that's Phrygian. not Pythagorean.
Also, I'd really like to know more about the 4D Encoder, but nobody really ever talks about it. Kinda strange since it's the largest knob on the controller.
@Harry what you got 4 me?
newbie here, can we play drums via keys ?? I wanted to buy m32 but was confused as it didn't have drum pads, if we can play drums with keys, I guess I can compromise on the pads, suggestions ?
Sure brother. U can play drums. No problems
