Put on Headphones, Play, Close Eyes = Dope !! Thank you for this little piece. It's a transportation into a lovely mind space. ❤
Thank you so much. Really pleased to hear you enjoying the music. More coming real soon! ❤️🔥
Thanks, Ryan! ❤
Great video! And great sound! You deserve more views.
Thank you so much. Keep watching, your views are important to me! Happy New Year. ❤️
Awesome video! That beat was sweet.
Appreciate it! - can't really go wrong with Maschine
Hi Ryan very helpful video . I really enjoyed it and the short track you made. M32 together with the MK3 is a good combination.
Cool - glad it helped out. Can see you've followed the path to my other NI videos - thanks for following.
Great video! I just bought a used M32 and a Maschine Mikro for my mobile rig, but haven’t tried using together. Then I found your timely video 😀 I previous had a 25 key LaunchKey Mini and it was ok in Ableton and Logic, but crippled when using NI Komplete Kontrol. I much prefer the 32 keys, and the Logic integration of the M32, and now with the addition of the Mikro, better use of the Maschine 2 projects, patterns and expansions. So, although I bought these things for my mobile rig, I’m finding them super useful in the studio too! Any more videos you release on how the Maschine and the M32 work together are much appreciated!
Appreciated - watch this space, got a nightly livestream commencing 01/01/2023 where I'll be using a whole host of hardware/software
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing! Enjoyed the track too.
Yeah - it's a great lil keyboard. I've been using Native Instruments plugins since like forever, this controller meets their high standards. Thank you so much for watching and reaching out. 🔥
@@ryantaylorlive for sure! I have a maschine studio that was never used, hopefully it’ll work out.
I started with Maschine mk1 and whilst I loved groove production, I never enjoyed arranging on it and always used it alongside Logic/Ableton. I'm going to be putting out a lot of content about how I use Maschine over the coming months (most of my stuff comes from a keyboard player/musician's perspective) - it might be worth a subscribe if useful to you.
Hi Ryan, Got my m32 yesterday and like it so far. How do you get the sound to play from pressing the keys? I only hear it when scrolling through the sounds, after I load it, nothing..
@@sirhcyaj Hi. It depends on how you are previewing the sounds. For example, if inside Komplete Kontrol standalone UI, you might have to enable the m32 as an input device. Similarly for Ableton, Logic, etc. Check your DAW midi preferences and ensure the m32 is checked as an input device. Good luck and thanks for watching. R
nice workflow from these duo controller
Yeah absolutely. Works a treat together. R
The Rhodes sound is pretty f’n nice actually for an emulated sound!
Scarbee Rhodes is great. However: I've just upgraded to Scarbee 88 and it's a huge improvement. Also: Universal Audio's Electra was on sale recently so I got that too and good lawd, it is utterly awesome - has that vintage fluffy, warm magic to it that glues tracks together. Will have to do a video of my various Rhodes plugins alongside my actual Rhodes Mk1. Thanks for watching.
dope beat man
Appreciated. Thanks for checking out the channel
that's really good, it would be cool to know the ni packs you use the most/favorite for this genre, for both drums/bass and synths, thank you!
Honestly, I use them all across all genres. It's less about sound selection and more about chord voicing, timing/feel and arranging. "Stacks" and "Lofi Glow" are good starters for this vibe though. I love the 90s vibe of "Borough Chops" too.
Just found ur channel with this,
Not sure yet but I’m looking to get an mk3 one day.. or 4..
currently use ableton & don’t watch any full maschine creators yet, looking forward to learning more about it all from u :)
Cool. I use Maschine inside Ableton and it's a great workflow. I love using Maschine standalone but as soon as it comes to tracking audio from live sources, I prefer having Maschine working inside a DAW.
@@ryantaylorlive oh nice cheers, I don’t have any cool hardware yet really, just using software & midi controller atm..
I like the recent nature vids tho.
Would be cool to see you chatting about what it was like,, or maybe if there’s a next one
Would love to see comparison with the Keyboard and the new standalone Maschine +
I'd love a Maschine+ but can't justify the £££ until they sort a few things out. My eyes are on the mk2 and I reckon by then they should have a new iteration of the software we have needed for so long. Tbf - I would love a job with Native Instruments I've had Komplete and Maschine from the very beginning.
fucking awesome, will get mine soon! :)
Thank you. Have fun - the NI ecosystem is full of treats
Nice one, mate! Looking forward to seeing/hearing more of your stuff :)
Much appreciated dude. Recording an entire album from scratch, livestreaming every night this month at 7pm GMT. Thanks for subscribing ❤️

good evening, I have a midi keyboard komplete kontrol m32 and on the display it says "midi mode" can you tell me how to solve it? I thank you in advance
That’s nice, it has Detroit…Dwele vibe to it. Neo Soul Sound…
Thanks bud. Made a lil follow-up this morning: ruclips.net/video/PQ2Q3jsG_l0/видео.html
Hello!! thanks for your video. You know I have this controller but it can't do a good setup. My daw is logic Pro x version 10.4.6 and I use macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Can I take advantage of this device? thanks for your help. Thank you so much!!
Hi. Logic should recognise it out of the box. However, if you want it to work with NI plugins, make sure you have the Komplete Kontrol plugin loaded. As always, check the NI website for resources on how to get it talking to Logic, as well as for any compatibility issues. Let me know if you're still struggling and I will have a proper look in Logic later for you.
I was hoping this would be a setup guide. it took me ages to workout how to just make the m32 play a sound.
Hi. This was more my impressions of it and workflow. I could do a setup guide for it if helpful?
@@ryantaylorlive I'd watch that! I just ordered a m32 myself and I like your style of videos, I'm hoping to be able to do something similar in the future. Keep going!
hi during your video are you using a sound card? or the mk3 sound card only?
Are you recording with a Zoom brand recorder? how does it connect? is it better than an irig 2?
Hi. For this one, I'm coming straight out of the mk3 master outs into 2x jack in on the Zoom. I also have a lapel mic going into the Zoom. In post, I mix the production audio with the mic. Then, I'm syncing that audio to my multicam and screengrab for the final edit. When I'm in my main studio, it's loads easier cos I just route everything through my UAD Apollo software straight out into OBS.
Not sure about iRig but the Zoom offers multiple inputs, phantom power, high pass, 48v, etc....
This is Bob James dope ✨✨👌🏾
Thanks - really grateful you checked out my channel. ❤️
@@ryantaylorlive you’re welcome this video helped me make up my mind on the purchase of an m32
I'm thinking about buying these two devices this year. Is it still worth it?
Yup. I would say Maschine is a must if you like making groove based music. The M32 is awesome but I genuinely only really use the keyboard and not the extra knobs because it's just extra faff to setup.
Dang that M1 compatibility, huh? It’s caused me some grief 😮
Yeah - it's getting there now thougg
How do you get it to connect to your mk3....PLZ HLP!!!
Hi. Hope you got this fixed but you should be able to select the Komplete Kontrol as a midi input from Maschine preferences. As always - check the NI website and forum as it's full of useful nuggets.
Do you do cord mode on maschine or the 32?
Hi. You can do chord mode on either. I've never used it tbh but imagine it would be useful for someone less confident about planting chords on the keys.
Hi, I have a very similar setup but with MacBook Air, M32 and Maschine MK3. I noticed you are using an external SSD and an external hub.. I have run out of space and only have two available ports! Do you know if you can run the Native Access libraries from an SD card from the hub rather than needing an external SSD also? Thanks
Hi. Good question and I'm afraid I don't know the answer. I can say that all my Komplete, Maschine, and Ableton libraries run with no problems at all from the SSD.
Hey man
Do you think the maschine 2.0 is enough to make full tracks (edm, trap and scores) without a daw like Ableton? I’m new to digital production and I find NI gear quite compelling but people moan that it doesn’t work too well with daws other than MASCHINE/Komplete Kontrol, I personally don’t care so I’ve never used any daw and therefore don’t have habits or preferences.
Otherwise I’m contemplating a Launchpad pro + Arturia keylab + Ableton, but the maschine mk3 + Komplete Kontrol s61 seems superior. Thoughts.
Maschine can do it all: HOWEVER - when it comes to things like tracking vocals, live instruments, etc; I feel that the workflow is not great for that. It's doable for sure, but I prefer using Logic/Luna/Ableton for that. That being said - Maschine runs beautifully inside your DAW and I use it with Ableton all the time for groove creation, then I can have all the flexibility of Ableton for tracking audio and finishing the track off. I'll do a video explaining this process this month because I think it's important to know how to use Maschine in this setting. Hope this helps.
@@ryantaylorlive that would be great! How do you use maschine inside Ableton though?
@@hjkhhjkh3635 open it up as a vst/au on a channel and it syncs to the master clock. You can route audio/midi to and from the host (Ableton) and Maschine. It's a learning curve but I love using it like this.
Always a debate is when you move your production from Maschine to your DAW. Yes, you can do almost everything in the Maschine 2 software, but then to add vocals and acoustic instruments, you’ll likely use Logic, Ableton or whatever your preferred DAW. However, i also like my DAW plugins and 3rd party plugins. I could access them in Maschine, but it’s tedious. So, at what point in my creative workflow do I start using my DAW instead of the Maschine? I guess we all have our own preference.
@@JeffyG my workflow is use Maschine inside logic/Ableton/Luna for all it's sounds, expansions, effects and groove creation. Then drag the midi from the Maschine instance onto the timeline. Best of both worlds - Uber flexible for working with audio/daw/Maschine simultaneously.
