They're so precious. I have them in my yard. I am from eastern North Carolina but live in Colorado now. I have had the pleasure of having 2 of them in my home running free. I let them do their thing. They're very intelligent, and watch every move you make. They're now outside. I now see some in my yard, and watch them when I can. Like how tou take special care of the slings. The other channel I watch on spiders is Tarantula Kat. She is Amazing with keeping many types of spiders, feeding and rehousing as well. I like your video, will also be watching your channel when I can, and may share a video or 2. Hope you and everyone here have a Wonderful day. 😊🕸🕷🕸😊❤
I really hope your channel grows, and perhaps more importantly I really hope that you keep wanting to post. Your voice is very relaxing, your personality is great, and you seem to always have interesting things going on. 🙂
I would like to keep a jumper or two, but sourcing prey makes me not want to. I could just catch bugs myself, but I might get in a bad spot in the winter, and not be able to provide for the guys. I don't have a nearby reptile/exotic pet store nearby, so. I enjoy watching videos by invert keepers though. Dave's Little Beasties is a wonderful channel. There's something I find very appealing about a very knowledgeable old British man making invert youtube videos. Great video, B. Plan on keeping any other inverts? I think it would be just awesome to keep a tarantula, to keep a female and have it as a pet for 15yrs. There's a species available whatever your preferences, it seems. I doubt I would ever breed them, but their sexual anatomy and reproductive cycle is freaking mind boggling.
Hey again! Quick question. I have a P johnsoni that i though was female because it had a back strip on its back but it came out of molt today and the stripe was gone so she is clearly a he. My question though, does this mean hes fully mature? I ask because hes still really small like about a third of the size of my adult male P. audax. Anyone else with knowledge on the matter feel free to chime in if youre reading this
hi :) they will be smaller than P. audux. the best way to know if they are mature is if his pedipalps are enlarged. they woll be pretty hard to miss and look like little boxing gloves!
@@BioactiveB I know they're usually smaller but I didn't think it would be this much smaller. All the adult johnsoni I've seen on line seem alot larger. And every time ive gone to take a look his pals were kinda tucked up against his face so I cant get a good look
you don't :) they are still living from the nutrients of the egg while in the nest. when they leave the nest then they are looking for food ! some species will drink water when in the nest but i didn't spray the nest of this species since they are from an arid climate and i didnt want to risk it
i just saw your medium guide for care and noticed the name now that i came to RUclips, are you Brooklyn? amazing content, i just got a female and male about a week ago and your channel has been great, Akuma and Jango love tiny grasshoppers and i couldn't find anything saying they would be bad for them, but i don't see many people feeding grasshoppers so i just wanted your opinion
haha yes that's me! i'm glad you enjoyed my care guide ! that's great. tiny grasshoppers will be fine. it's more about the appropriate sized prey. as long as they are taking them down fine, they are just as nutritious as the prey options i recommended. the more variety in prey you can offer them the better though. enjoy your spiders !
Btw this video has such a lofi ASMR vibe and I'm HERE for it 😊

Yeah, been thinking about breeding with a phiddipus johnsoni for a while. Thanks for this 👍
I have 4, I think 2.2 but not mature yet. I'm wanting to breed them, so this video is brilliant ❤

How large should they be by 8 months?

@@Og_Mandingo then he's probably not mature yet :) you'd be able to tell
Would u be able to breed one of these with regal jumping spider ?
no, they are different species. they cannot breed with eachother
How do u feed them when they’re still in the nest?

I don't have a Instagram. 😢 Do u have a tiktok or something? And are you selling the babies?
instagram is the only other social media i have i'm sorry :( i don't have any available right now but i will in a few months
