I have just been on holiday, The hotel offered Ebike use. I took one out she said don't worry if you get a problem we will come and get you they are tracked. When I got back from the ride she showed me the whole route I had ridden. Not sure what tracker it was but it was brilliant.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments, could be a bosch connectmodule
I like the look of this. I would never want to chop the bars though. They need to design a retention system that fits flush or recessed.
Hi, I don't think cutting 10mm of the end that its fitted to causes a problem, small price to pay for the benefit
I'd just make a hole in the grip. Nobody's going to think anything of it.
Just put a dummy plug on the other side of the handlebars.
Use paasive mode and charge every 10 to 12 weeks. Read the instructions youll find battery get to 40% it semd notification. I charge mine every three weeks.
Best buy and great value.
Designed and manufactured in Norway
Hi, thanks for watching and your comments
I have this and its great, I also chopped my bar down 10mm to even them out and wired it into my ebike so it doesnt need charging.
Hi Matthew, I was really pleased with how it works too. thanks for watching.
may i ask how you wired it in
Did it mean drilling holes in the bars, to pick up power
Hey mate just wanted to say I love your channel! My dream is to one day move to the UK from Holland and open up a mountainbike specific bike shop!
Hi, thank you, if you ever come over and are close enough to call in please do.
@@TheYorkshireBikeMechanic
I definitely will! :) Im bound to come over the channel soon, Yorkshire is well on the road from Hull to Manchester, Ill make sure to say hi and bring you lot a chippy. ;)
Just like to thank you, ive used a few of your videos to help me do jobs on my bike. Brilliant vids, .cheers pal.
Thank you
Possibly to instole in the tube under the seat ? For an eletric bike?
That was a bit of a hambini style introduction.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments
So I have to cut my expensive handlebars oddly, then have my grip not seated properly which puts all strain on the locked on part of the grip, then I have to take grip off weekly to charge it lol. All for £170 plus yearly subscription. Drop me out.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments.
You don’t have to do that Bob. Some people do, but you don’t. Thank you Bob
What are you talking about? If you are going to reply to my comment, at least try and reply with something that people can understand…
I charge mine every four weeks as if you read the instructions you'll see the differences use less or more battery life.
Try gripper paste under lock on grips to stop corrosion on alloy bars. Not grease for obvious reasons.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments
Would be great if owner could buy product, set up account, and then only pay to track device AFTER that is needed. Recurring fees in perpetuity make me want to 🤮. I purchase things so that I own THEM, not so they can own me.
P.S. We give insurance companies MORE money than they give us back. That's how insurance works. That's how they are able to stay in business. Insurance is nothing more than a way to buy something once, and then proceed to slowly pay for it twice, in hopes that they MIGHT give you a portion of your 2nd purchase price back. Insurance is nothing more than gambling. If you want to gamble, go to Las Vegas and get free drinks out of it.
Thank you for watching and your great comment.
Bike finder look very good product how would you compare bosh module tracking also alarm
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments. The bikefinder is much more difficult to find if you are a thief but needs a charge every couple of week. The connect module is limited to smart systems only but works well, Bosch have developed the smart lock too. not every manufacture makes a motor cover to fit though.
This is a good gps unit and all but it's just best to insure your bike above its value. This way you will get what your bike is worth from insurance.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments
Why copy paste robotic replies?
Looks like a great product. Wish they were available in the USA. Hopefully soon.
Hi, thanks for watching and your comment
They are now on Amazon US 🤯
Excellent product.. Battery life could be better..
Allow the additional price of a quality claw hammer to organise a nice thank you to give to said bike thief.
Hi, yes, battery should last about 12 days before a charge if left in standard mode, but it does depend on if the bike is stood or being ridden as the unit will sleep if not moved
Yes but...... How do you charge it? You install it by putting the grip back on...... Do you have to take the grip off every time you need to charge?
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments, yes you do but it lasts a decent amount
Q: what would you suggest to conceal it on a race handlebar?
Hi thanks for your comment, the unit bends to fit the bar
A scouser could pull that tracker out with his teeth
Yawn
@@cmd2709 your probably a wool
I have something similar to this, different form factor, but just as effective.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments
What about an apple Airtag or Samsung smart tag instead?
yep, ive done videos on them too
In my opinion it would be better installed in the seat post rather than the handle bars... that's where I would put mine anyway :)
If your frame is metal that may not work because the seat tube will act like a Faraday cage and block the signal. On the handlebar you have the receiver sticking out the end so it's not an issue. Might work on a carbon fiber frame though.
@@BEM880 Fair point :) mine is a carbon fibre frame but thank you for picking up on that point about the metal frame ATB
@@peternicholls6532also carbonis bad for signal
I never have a problem finding my Cube ebike.. It has been back and forth to the bike shop since January... Now off to the original seller to see if they can sort the problem..
Bike with the latest Bosch motor etc.... Shuts down after a few minutes or won't start at all.. LBS has the Bosch software etc but has not been successful..
Worst €5500 spent in my life...
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments
Seems he really doesn't care XD
It might make me feel like I'm waiting for my bike to be stolen to put it to good use
What device you could suggest for low bars?
Hi, thanks for watching and your comments. this unit will fit in drop bars
Hi quick question i just picked one up myself just wondering could you help me when i was connecting the bluetooth to the tracker in the app it won't connect it is fully charged green light on when trying to connect blue light comes on
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comment. it's difficult to help over the phone unless you can get into the workshop. Give bikefinder support an email, they are really good
Hi. Quick question. Can you help everyone by using punctuation?
To be honest, I'd just let the opposite handle bar grip hangover rather than cut the bar down.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comment
@@TheYorkshireBikeMechanic And thank you for an excellent video 🙂
Hi would you take this over the biketrax?
Thanks for watching and your comments, great question, yes I think I would
Simply lovleh👌
I heard the Simply bits too 🤣
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments, see you guys
Dose it insure motorbikes?
Hi Thanks for watching, im not sure, good question, send them an email.
Shame it doesn’t fit flush. I need a GPS. That bike trax one was rubbish it won’t work.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comment.
Just cut your bar down slightly and it will be even each side not a big deal really
Great video and a top tracker, it one word of assistance on your video making. Learn to look at the CAMERA, not your pretty face on the screen. As an audience member watching the video it’s sooooo obvious you’re looking at yourself. Takes some practice, but if you learn this you’ll be looking at your audience and they’ll feel more connected to you.
Hi, Thanks for watching, thats a great tip but easier said than done, I will give it a go on the my video, coming soon
eh ? I'm sure I already commented about this video . Seems to have vanished .
Hi, not me, I don't remove comments unless that are offensive or personal
@@TheYorkshireBikeMechanic .. I dont think it was offensive , I mentioned Swinton does great bike theft insurance .

Terrible tracker would definitely not recommend at all
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comments
Why will you not recommend?
yeh why is it so bad?
