You are not alone...I promise you...I am watching this video and I am starving. I am going to make something to eat. You probably guessed what I am about to make.
The three-times cooked noodles makes an amazing difference. I cook noodles three times like this for all chow mein dishes now. Really adds a depth of flavour.
Omg thank you some much for this recipe it turned out so amazing the chicken is so silky and soft. My daughter said it was the best stir fry she's ever eaten!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌
If you were a marraige counselor no one would ever get divorced. Great instruction and passion in your cooking! I sucessfully made sticky pork belly Bao after watching you do it. Thanks for all you do!
Marion, you had me drooling with this video! I appreciate all the love you put into these noodles, your detailed demonstration, and I cannot wait to make this!!
I followed the process in its entirety as advised. The outcome was truly awesome. Family loved the delicious taste and said it’s the best I have cooked. The second step I was missing in my previous attempts and that certainly makes a huge difference. I enjoy your videos. Thank you for upping my culinary skills.
Cooked this today, and my family loved it. Added some fish cakes too. Quite a lot of work preparing the noodles, but the outcome was rewardingly satisfying!
Brilliant! I know this is going to taste awesome because, sometimes, I cook instant Maggi like chowmein. Which means, I boil the noodles in water, drain and then stir-fry with veggies along with the packet seasoning and soy sauce and vinegar. I LOVE the crispy caramelized bits of noodles that stick to the bottom of the wok. I scrap them out diligently because they taste so yummy. I don't think I can get fresh egg noodles here in my country, but no matter, I'll try with whatever good quality noodles available. Thanks for teaching us this unique technique, Marion. 🥰
Monalisa Mondal I personally like the egg noodles that she used in the video but sometimes I’ll use the thicket egg noodles that are used in Lo Mein dishes
I swear every single one of Marion's recipes is so amazing and easy to follow. Gonna try this one soon because my mom bought some noodles and I didn't know what to do with them until I saw this video.
I just cooked this recipe with the exception that the noodles were a little larger than in the video. However, the dish turned out excellent. Thank you Marion.
I made these last night. I didn't have the veggies and I don't like chicken 😂 so I roasted an onion 🧅 and a shallot and some garlic 🧄 🤗 I used shrimp 🦐 instead of the chicken 🐓. I had the ingredients for the marinade and sauce. Well I used rice vinegar instead of the cooking wine 🤷🏽♀️ but I did the steps and am so impressed with myself and this dish. Thanks Marion 🖤🖤🖤
I made this one today and YUMMM. Perfect texture for the noodles and so much better than some of the recipes I have seen. Take the extra care and it pays off.
It was a big hit with me family. I used regular thin spaghetti noodles . The amount of stir fry sauce Marion whipped up was not quite enough so I doubled it up. Very nice recipe.
Made this for dinner tonight. So so good!! I added a bit a garlic, because I love garlic. Had a bit of a hard time with the noodles, they literally only need to boil for like 10 seconds. Had to scratch the first batch. But I did find an amazing Asian grocer near by, and was able to aquire every ingredient. I'm shocked at how much less things cost at the Asian grocery! I'll be visiting again very soon, as I'm totally hooked on your recipes!!
Hi Marion, absolutely love your channel. You are awesome. Just made this exactly as the recipe says and it was the best stir fried noodles I have made. The char from the wok in the second cook made it soo authentic. Thanks so much :)
Thanks for making this a short video with a really effective recipe - I only had ten minutes to prepare before trying to cook this dish on my own!! (Our takeaway sadly got part of the order mixed up.) They were delicious, actually better than the takeaway. You saved our evening! I'm going to try and make some more soon. Thank you! :)
I, too, am obsessed with noodles. This recipe seems easy though the noodles are tri-cooked. I love the simple sauce, and a dash of sugar to balance the flavors. I would love the addition of mushrooms, the more veggies, the better! Great video. 😍 #obsessedwithnoodles
Hi Marion when we have chow mien in australia we get crunchy noodles with it I have tried to make them but they always taste oily can you do a video on how to make those lovely crunchy noodles to have with your tasty chicken chow mien . Regards Dean from oz
Always better to start with ginger, garlic & chilli, then throw in the chicken. Remove chicken, then cook veggies, re - introduce chicken, sauce, finally noodles, then garnish with spring onion & bean sprouts for crunch.
Just came across your channel while looking for Mee Gorang noodles recipe. I remember you from Australia Master chef. Watched each episode and enjoyed thoroughly! I hope you continue having success in creating your lovely dishes... Enjoy cooking.
yums this is like the Hong Kong soy sauce fried egg noodles. I bought some of those noodles from their wet market back to Singapore on my last trip. Regret not buying more.
Thank you for another awesome recipe 👏🏼 I tried making noodles like this tonight (minus the chill in the fridge part - I forgot that step) and it was a hit with my kids :)
Can I par boil the noodles to prepare for cooking the next day? My challenge is that I sometimes cook for 10 people and it can be hard to keep the food from getting soggy but I’ve learned so much from your channel thank you
Hey Marion love your channel and all of your recipes I’ve made a few and really want to make these but can’t find the noodles anywhere is there any other ones I cud use for this , thank you!
I made this tonight and my goodness it was delicious.... I was cautious being that everything you make looks so delicious and replicating it looks like it would work then fails hahahahaha but this recipe YUM
Hi Marion. This looks so yummy and I want to make it soon. I am in Braga, Portugal, só finding the exact ingredients can be challenging. The Chinese egg noodles are not available here. I got Lanzhou fresh noodles (no egg) because it’s all the Chinese market had. Do you know a work around for them? Thanks!
On,y just come across your channel and loving it. One question regarding this recipe, why do you advise drying off your noodles in the fridge rather than at room temperature?
Hello Marion! New subscriber here!! I LOOOOOOOVE how easy and accessible your recipes are! I am from the Philippines! About to try this recipe over the weekend and the rest of your recipes as well.
Hi Marion! Can you please name the sauces which best go with noodles and fried rice. Any type of noodles. I can never get the blends right. Thank you.❤
I’m thinking about getting a wok and seriously trying this. I would replace dark soy(gluten) with balsamic vinegar, use tamari for regular soy sauce, and the noodles with tofu shirataki noodles. Rinse the noodles, then dry fry till they start to stick, then follow her recipe.... also a pinch of truvia instead of sugar.
The way you present these cookings by far is the most interesting way I’ve ever seen! Never get bored watching your video!

Defeats the purpose of traditional Chinese cooking: extremely fast, and fresh. Interesting take.

Question: if we don’t have an Asian market or many options for noddles could we substitute these noddles for say thin spaghetti or maybe capellini?
Hello Marion! New subscriber here!! I LOOOOOOOVE how easy and accessible your recipes are! I am from the Philippines! About to try this recipe over the weekend and the rest of your recipes as well.
amazing. is there a reason you didn’t add garlic to the oil?
Yes, she didn't feel like it.
Can I used precooked / or dried noodles and boil them?
