- A RUclips drama style video going into all the issues wrong with how RUclips handled this hacking and other faults discovered at behind the scenes at google. This also acts as a general explanation as to what's been happening to the channel Supercuts Delight and how I've been getting hacked.

Did we all though? That last hacker legit had nothing better to do than upload trash; I had to unsubscribe for a week to clear my feed
@@playc.holder6432 I like to think SOME people were intelligent enough to find a different way of getting everyone's most recent videos without having to wade through the junk. Like clicking on each channel you wished to view separately, for instance. But I suppose that requires too much effort and patience for some people. My bad, you're right. I should have catered my comment to the inconsiderate.

Yeah, i knew it'd pass. Not the first time i'd ever seen it happen, but it is the first time I saw the game hacks type videos.

This was an insane series of events. I can't believe RUclipss support was so inept at recovering your account
You should look into similar problems that have happened to other channels recently.
It's hard to find examples where corporate RUclips accounts are hacked because Yt support usually takes action within the hour of the problem being detected by an automated system. Most big companies with RUclips accounts Don't even need to report being hacked, RUclips automatically detects it and deals with the problem before it harms the content creator.
No doubt you can find several individual creators that suffered through weeks of degeneracy/hacks while they went out of their way to find any shred of help from YT support. I swear RUclips is a couple years away from being the next comcast and that's their goal

Robert, I'm so sorry you went through this. I hope your channel can recover from all the red numbers, but I know how scary it can be to face that. I don't know how we can get better action from RUclips and Google - things like this have been issues on the platform for over a decade and there's still not enough support. They take half of our income and don't use it to make our jobs even the slightest bit secure. Nothing that could cut into the profit margin, I guess. We have to be acutely and constantly aware that our livelihoods are sitting on razor edges. I hate to complain about this wondrous, fanciful career I've stumbled into, but that shit is so stressful.

I held on and hid every video just out of curiosity for the situation, I thought it was going to go on for months..glad it's resolved.
I didn’t know what TF was going on. I didn’t click on a single video and thought you were just trying new gaming content or something. I was like “Well, this is weird.” And ignored it in my notifications. From one RUclipsr to another (as well as a fan of your channel), I’m really sorry this happened. That sucks.

Congrats man! Glad you got it back.. finally. Unfortunately, a lot of your stuff has been taken off the channel. I don't know if you have backups for those videos as I imagine that would be a ton of storage. Hopefully they were just privated and not deleted. It is RUclips's responsibility to restore intruder-deleted videos. We've seen time and time again that RUclips has its own backups. Just need to wait.
So sad this happened to you. Something felt weird when it took 20 days for the hacker to leave, which I now know was exactly that, weird. Hope this channel picks up again, I will definately watch new videos, but Maybe you should start anew? You can make a second channel, and see if it gets more revenue than the first. If it does, I think you should just try and move your content to that new home. Good luck!

The uploads were annoying as hell I had to unsubscribe cause I was getting tired of hiding them but I kept tabs on it. Just subscribed again. Time to put this ordeal behind you and get back to making some quality content. I look forward to it!

I was one of the people who unsuscribed because of the nuking of suscription feed and YT recommended your last video to me, so I'd say the algorithm didn't bury the channel which is something good out of all of this. Hope you never have to deal with anything like this again. Resubbed and gonna pump those numbers up a bit!!
After a week I tried helping by reporting lots of the hacked videos. Another week went by and I knew I couldn’t help, but I’m a returning subscriber! Wish I could have done more, but I’m glad your back and can’t wait for what’s to come!

I reported all those fake videos to RUclips for like 2 weeks to put some attention on this. Don't know if it helped, but almost all the videos I reported were taken down or suspended according to RUclips.

I did leave after like...2 weeks of those awful videos clogging my feed and just remembered to check in (Thank goodness for Patreon notifications!!) and I'm so happy for you that you got your channel back and didn't have to restart completely from scratch. It sucks to here you were hack for so long, RUclips definitely has to step up their game (although it’s certainly unlikely) I’m glad to see you’re back though! I actually checked to see your channel specifically the other day, and saw a ton of random hacked content, at first I lowkey thought you had sold your channel or something, but I managed to find your explanation video on your second channel. Can confirm once you came back your videos were not recommended to me for over a month. I unsubscribed because the spam videos were killing my subscription feed. And it went on for so long tbh I thought you abandoned the channel. Now in mid-February one of your videos finally showed up in my regular feed and I was very excited to subscribe again with a backlog of a few videos to watch. Welcome back!

So glad to see you are back! I think a lot of lost subscribers had only unsubscribed temporarily, to avoid the spam. That's at least what I did, the moment I saw this video I re-subbed again. I hope others will come back here as well and that the damage wasn't permanent. It's absurd how long it took RUclips to deal with this hacker, and how they didn't even block the channel till the matter was resolved.

Unfortunately, the issue with bad support seems to happen to every big company, like World of Warcraft players also always say the support is bad, that it's just automated responses and all that. And the bigger the company, the harder to give support, apparently. I'm actually thinking RUclips probably sees this in a positive light, like "hey at least we have just a few channels hacked and not 100 per month"
