When the text is translated and it talks about those teeth growing in Godzilla's cheek, it says that that's what could have happened when Koichi blew the mine in his mouth. Instead of pale skin growing back, it would be flesh and teeth

Its pretty cool that they wanted to go for a kinda two face look
literally everyone missing the point as why the movie was called minus one even though some of the trailers show it . also myself vs gojira as toho loves putting gojira vs gojira ideas
I have a really good idea for a second movie! I've wanted to create my own Godzilla cinematic universe since I was young. And Minus One was similar to what I thought the first part could be: Interesting Humans, Godzilla destroys the city without fighting monsters and in my version the people would have managed to severely wound Godzilla with a similar weapon from GMK, sending him into a deep place falls into a hole in the sea and appears to be dead. However, at the very end of the film there would have been a scene like In Godzilla vs King Ghidorah 1991 where he simply gets back up. For a second film, the title would have been something like "Godzilla and the Monsters from the Seas", in which the seas are flooded by Barems and, like in Minus One, a monster appears shortly afterwards, but not Godzilla, its Dagahra from Rebirth of Mothra 2. Dagahra would then pollute the seas around Japan and fly through the air with his toxin. Godzilla would be woken up by this and goes to the mainland to destroy everything before he meets Dagahra. The two would then fight in the city and continue the fight into the sea where Godzilla would ultimately destroy Dagahra at the last moment before the toxin killed him and retreating back into the sea. Since the two monsters have never fought against each other, but both belong to Toho, this would be a simple idea before bringing any Alien Mecha Mutants from the future into the films again. Minus One was too serious to have something like King Ghidorah appear directly in the second movie
If Godzilla fights another monster in the sequel, does anyone else think Varan might be good pick? I considered Anguirus, but it might be too obvious because he was already the follow up enemy for a sequel in Godzilla Raids Again. I thought *_maybe_* Rodan, since they could easily tweak his Ride design too, but I'm not sure if people would take a giant pterosaur in a Minus One sequel seriously. Mothra's in pretty much *_EVERYTHING_* and that seemingly includes The New Empire, so she felt too obvious as well. I don't really see how the likes of Destoroyah or Biollante could fit into the plot without their methods of creation present and I ruled out King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Gigan and SpaceGodzilla cuz they just feel too fantastical for the more grounded Minus One universe. But Varan could still easily fit in with the more grounded feel of these films, he'd make for some well varied action scenes with his triphibious nature and I just think it'd be nice for Toho to give him some love *_JUST FOR ONCE._*
Well...If you look closely on Odo Island pre-mutated Goji, we can see some scars on his body. Perhaps another dinosaur-like kaiju? Is anyone else thinking...It starts with Anguirus?
@3:22 to me it looks like the pre mutated version that was running around on the beach before he got hit with the bomb and became the upright posture. @3:53 that concept art looks like the aftermath of the injury he took with the depth charge blowing his head open but here it didn't heal 100% and instead looks mangled/deformed.
Realistically. if this is a franchise reboot... if he does fight a monster in the next film, it will be angurus. As they would have to reboot raids again
List of kaiju I would want for a G - 1 film series. Anguirus Shockirus Rodan Kumacuras Speiga Mothra Varan Hedorah Baragon Meganulon Ebirah Megalon King Ghidorah.
Well, in the Ride there is King Ghidorah, so i guess, if there is a sequel, it will be the logiciel choice as they can use their work from the attraction instead of starting from 0 😁
Thin Goji is the one appearing on the island. Thr one with more teeth is the one after Koichi blast a mine on Goji's face, The armor version is probably when Goji was drawned into the bottom of the ocean.
While I like the originality of Shin Godzilla it was nice to see a classic looking Godzilla with updated effects. About the only thing I would've liked in Godzilla Minus One's design is Godzilla's ears (and maybe fangs) like in the original, and a handful of other films. As is though it's probably my favorite design, I like the 80s/90s look, but without the thunder thighs which I always thought looked goofy.
I think we got the best of all the worlds that they have just shown on Godzilla. As far as him taking on another Kaiju. I would love to see one of his other Nemesis that we haven't seen yet I think it'd be more interesting than bringing someone we've already seen or even a new Kaiju from pass concepts that were never used.
I don’t get how Black Panther got any awards but Minus one which was ACTUALLY a good movie, had good characters, plot, Godzilla design and execution hasn’t gotten any awards. I don’t know why I care about the Oscars, they are all crap, but it feels just that little more satisfying knowing this movie received some kind of award for being so damn good. I saw it 5 times with 6 different people and they all gave it praise and I’m the Godzilla nerd yet everyone else was just as excited as I was. Ignore this, just had to rant
Heisei was peak Toho Godzilla design, to me minus one takes that and adds in alot of the details they were going for in 1954 but just didn't come thru well on the cameras of the time period. I've seen the film 4 times now, 3 times in color and once in B&W, its a great film. I will say the color version is the better version however, because just like in 1954 the film loses a lot of details in B&W due to details in shadow or dark colors appearing solid black, and details in light either being too gray or solid white. B&W was a great homage to the OG film but needed better lighting work in a lot of scenes to keep from losing details.
I haven’t seen minus one yet because where I live it was only out in cinemas once and all the seats were booked but I’m kinda wanting to see it I black and white first.
If there is a sequel - which I'm sure Toho will make - I'd like to see another remake of the earlier Godzilla film - Godzilla Raids Again. I believe he fought Anguirius in that movie. So it would be cool to see a remake of that original film.
It is a good time to be a godzilla fan right know also love the concept art for minus one godzilla one design is very similar to godzilla from 1998 very interesting.
In the movie there are 2 ways a second monster could appear. 1. The “death” of goji left him falling to pieces. Any kind of sea creature could snack on some of those bits, and it could mutate them, so a turtle could give us an Angirus, are all Sea Monster 2. After the land fall scene the voice over mentions that the scientist were recovering pieces of Godzilla left behind, so it could be something like a biolante with some cross breeding action.
I was definitely blown away with this classic design and with it having the no color film too. If there was sequel. It would have to be with one of their own from TOHO.
I know a lots of people have already commented this but I'd like to see anguirus appear in the sequel. Yes because he was the first monsters for the G man to fight and having a sort of remake of Godzilla Raids Again would be neat but I think they could easily introduce him as essentially another species that was mutated by the same testing but perhaps less so then Godzilla meaning it took longer for the change to happen and thus explaining why he didn't appear in the first movie as far as an in universe explanation.
Yk i always wondered ever since the evolved godzilla was introduced i had some thoeries that the evolved godzilla isnt the final stage because if u remember back on gvk they show us a deleted photo/picture of a winged godzilla on the paintings.
In 3:22 Godzilla mutated design was originally is based on the Godzillasaurus design earlier in the movie but it was changes because it look to similar to 98 godzilla (Zilla).
(Spoilers) In 4:03The twist that godzilla can regenerate his mouth was originally more sinister as the regeneration failed which causes his damage cheeks to grow teeth. It was cut because it ruined the twist at the end of the movie where his flesh regenerate.
4:37 Godzilla's look was more asymmetrical with one side of him looks like the movie and the other side being more damage with falling pieces of flesh. I think it was removed because the modeling will be more costly?
Definitely Biollante, since the girl is infected by Godzillas cells(that's what I think) and what happened the last time Goji cells fused with Human Female cells, Biollante
If they do make a sequel and if Yamazaki directs it, I really hope it's inspired by Godzilla Raids Again, like how Minus One is inspired by Gojira. If they do I would really want to see what Anguirus's redesign could be like. Godzilla Raids Again even has the main character as a pilot, so they could tie in that since Minus Ones main character is a pilot. They can even make Anguirus a spawn of Godzilla, cause at the end we see Godzilla start regenerating, so maybe another piece of Godzilla can become Anguirus, like Sanda and Gaira in War of the Garagantuas. I really hope they go that route, if not atleast we have a sequel.
That first drawing you focused on at 3:24, with the long limbs and extravagant spines, looks to me a lot like what Zilla should've looked like in its movie. It looks very different from the general Godzilla design, but at the same time it's still recognizably Godzilla. That's just my impression though, and I'd love to know if anyone else felt the same.
The "extended jawline" looks like it's in the part of his face that got blown off by the mine exploding in his mouth. Maybe they were considering having his healing factor go wrong whenever it kicked in, so that he'd start out looking fairly normal and end the film looking almost like Shin Godzilla.

It was considered as an expression unique to CG.” And for the one on the bottom left it basically states that parts on half of godzillas body were damaged and wounded to radiation exposure. Its pretty cool that they wanted to go for a kinda two face look
literally everyone missing the point as why the movie was called minus one even though some of the trailers show it . also myself vs gojira as toho loves putting gojira vs gojira ideas
We need Angirius, the world needs him.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
Not Anguirus. Varan wasn't popular enough, but I would accept it. Rodan, Mothra, Ghidorah, Gigan, Biolante could be good picks
I would like to see one of the designs make it into the movie
Still feeling dumb and funny looking at the way Minus One Godzilla walks lmao he walks just like the generic man in a costume Godzilla 😂😂
Because it is like the original Godzilla movies
Well...If you look closely on Odo Island pre-mutated Goji, we can see some scars on his body. Perhaps another dinosaur-like kaiju? Is anyone else thinking...It starts with Anguirus?
@3:22 to me it looks like the pre mutated version that was running around on the beach before he got hit with the bomb and became the upright posture. @3:53 that concept art looks like the aftermath of the injury he took with the depth charge blowing his head open but here it didn't heal 100% and instead looks mangled/deformed.
I'm happy with the one we are see and see it in black and white gives the classic horror look back in 1954
Realistically. if this is a franchise reboot... if he does fight a monster in the next film, it will be angurus. As they would have to reboot raids again
Nah. Not Anguirus.
Maybe as a secondary enemy.
But hes not a big enough threat to be the main antagonist.
@@videogamevitality7810 I mean... can't forget his first monster fight... even if the movie was rushed even by 50s standards
It should get a Best Picture win!
tbh GXK wont even compete with minus 1
I think Mothra would be a great next monster. A benevolent kaiju to counter Godzillas evil. Would love to see her tone with that level of storytelling
If a sequel to Godzilla Minus One is made, its title should be “Godzilla Minus Two.”
Me and my wife are always wanting more Godzilla stuff even movies like
List of kaiju I would want for a G - 1 film series.
Anguirus
Shockirus
Rodan
Kumacuras
Speiga
Mothra
Varan
Hedorah
Baragon
Meganulon
Ebirah
Megalon
King Ghidorah.
Spiga is actually called Kumonga
Well, in the Ride there is King Ghidorah, so i guess, if there is a sequel, it will be the logiciel choice as they can use their work from the attraction instead of starting from 0 😁
Thin Goji is the one appearing on the island. Thr one with more teeth is the one after Koichi blast a mine on Goji's face, The armor version is probably when Goji was drawned into the bottom of the ocean.
I seen this in D’man1954’s channel! Bc i was subscribed to him!
I saw the film twice. And I’m really sad I missed the black and white version the other week
Great movie.
I hope if we get a sequel, he fights anguirus.
Love your videos
I would love to see him fight king ghidora or biollante.
Godzilla looked quite human in -1. Not sure if theres meaning behind that but i think his design was Excellent!
No meaning. We see he evolved from the Godzillasaurus
I thought he looked like a dog from the front
@@MrMinusYT that's not a dog? What???
@@videogamevitality7810 I said he LOOKED like you du-
@@MrMinusYT 😂 I mean. If you want it to be a dog. It can be a dog. It's up to you. I won't tell you how to live your life
Do love concept art it gives you many options on what a kaiju will look like and etc.
Godzilla Minus One really should have been nominated for Best Picture or Best International Picture. It's that good of a movie. Best movie of 2023.
When is -1 coming out on digital!?
All other December releases are on digital except the best one!
*WE NEED MORE.*
I haven’t seen minus one yet because where I live it was only out in cinemas once and all the seats were booked but I’m kinda wanting to see it I black and white first.
2:31 I would say anguirus because in Godzilla raids again was after the og flim
So we gonna get the showa kaijus to the next godzilla minus one movie?
If there is a sequel - which I'm sure Toho will make - I'd like to see another remake of the earlier Godzilla film - Godzilla Raids Again. I believe he fought Anguirius in that movie. So it would be cool to see a remake of that original film.
It is a good time to be a godzilla fan right know also love the concept art for minus one godzilla one design is very similar to godzilla from 1998 very interesting.
Angirus because it would be a nice throw back to the second godzilla film and we have not seen him for a while
In the movie there are 2 ways a second monster could appear.
1. The “death” of goji left him falling to pieces. Any kind of sea creature could snack on some of those bits, and it could mutate them, so a turtle could give us an Angirus, are all Sea Monster
2. After the land fall scene the voice over mentions that the scientist were recovering pieces of Godzilla left behind, so it could be something like a biolante with some cross breeding action.
Imagine just how sick would it be to get a 1v1v1 in a godzilla minus one sequel
2:15 what monster is that, and where can I get the model?
Manda
@@LavelinaAli where can I get model?
@@fossilpictures8370 idk who made it so idk
It's thanks to you that I knew that Godzilla Minus One was going to be made by Toho!
I also remember back when it was called Godzilla 0!
Such a great film Roll on the 4K blu ray release
Myself Rodojira vs minus one gojira
I was definitely blown away with this classic design and with it having the no color film too. If there was sequel. It would have to be with one of their own from TOHO.
Happy with what we got!
I hope they do a short animation of the other designs and include them as extras on a bluray release?
I know a lots of people have already commented this but I'd like to see anguirus appear in the sequel. Yes because he was the first monsters for the G man to fight and having a sort of remake of Godzilla Raids Again would be neat but I think they could easily introduce him as essentially another species that was mutated by the same testing but perhaps less so then Godzilla meaning it took longer for the change to happen and thus explaining why he didn't appear in the first movie as far as an in universe explanation.
That one godzilla concept they had reminded me of 98 godzilla in body shape, it also looked hairy for some reason.
Who cares about the Oscars?! Also, I want to see Gigan in the Minus One Sequel, with a Steam Punk like design.
The more dinosaur like unused design of -1.0Goji reminds me of the GyakushuGoji design... Especially the dorsal spins.
The final design is perfect. As for a sequel monster, Anguirus or Zilla. Would love to see a drawn out battle between the two Godzillas.
Yk i always wondered ever since the evolved godzilla was introduced i had some thoeries that the evolved godzilla isnt the final stage because if u remember back on gvk they show us a deleted photo/picture of a winged godzilla on the paintings.
It needs to be nominated for movie of the year
These are cool concept art for Godzilla minus one.
Making a sequel for this film in my opinion is a bad move cus almost all sequels to amazing films always suck
We still got the horizontally posed Godzilla in the final movie in the form of Godzillasaurus.
Ive saw a video that explain the concept designs of godzilla that was originally going to be in the film
3:26 Soooo basically we almost had another GodZilla 1998 movie.
First godzilla movie where i actually payed attention to the non action scenes.
The "extended jawline" looks like it's in the part of his face that got blown off by the mine exploding in his mouth. Maybe they were considering having his healing factor go wrong whenever it kicked in, so that he'd start out looking fairly normal and end the film looking almost like Shin Godzilla.
Rodan, King Caesar, Hedorah, Biollante, Bagan. These are potential monster I could see Minus One fighting in the sequel.
