- There's a lot going against the upcoming Captain America film that could cause it to not do so great at the box office, and for some reason, it seems like some people take a lot of joy in that. Call me "woke" or whatever, but hating a movie this hard that HASN'T released yet....is a little weird.

Nitpicking and surface level criticism that doesn't stand up to scrutiny is the bread and butter for these "creators" who can't actually create anything of value themselves. I hate to be the "it's racially charged" guy, but come on. Nothing gets these grifters out of bed in the morning quite like being able to manipulate their following by targeting minority groups. Its low hanging fruit. If Bucky had become Cap, it would've gone against his WHOLE character arc in the MCU but no one would've complained like this or nitpicked every scene he's in or bash every frame of every trailer or twisted Sebastian Stan's words in interviews to sound nefarious (even if Chris Evans said basically the same thing about Captain America's values years earlier). It also doesn't help that the vocal minority online gets a hard-on anytime anything Marvel past Endgame isn't peak. This movie was a vendiagram of rage bait content waiting to happen, MCU haters on one side and DEI/anti-woke stupidity on the other.
If the movie fails, their biases are confirmed. If the movie does well or is even just well received, they'll cherry-pick moments to bitch and enrage people over to confirm their biases (just like they did with Falcon and Winter Soldier).

It's the current internet nowadays and anyone making a pitiful penny to grift for ad revenue is just becoming tiring and rhetoric, if ya ask me. Not to mention, them pushin their own "agenda" continues to prove my point that they're becoming what they hate. They are the new snowflakes of the internet. XD Hell, actually got me to mock them for the fun of it. Especially the fandoms that are getting infested with those people. 2024 opened my eyes on how terrible they'd become and I go out my way to make some satire out of them.

You do realize fans have valid criticism though, right? Like I wouldn't watch Spiderman trying to be Superman after his death? The foundation wouldn't make sense, no matter how much you wait till it hits the theatre. Seems like Marvel writers has lost the sanity on how to write good story and characters, simply killing a hero & making a diversified actor hijack the role doesn't work obviously. Falcon was pretty likeable, Captain America was good, Brave New World is doomed to ruin both potentials.

@@ParhamSalamati They didn’t kill off Steve Rodgers. He’s just old now. There was no hijacking. Steve’s story ended in endgame and now someone else is taking the mantle. Just like it was in the comics
@@Age_Of_Nostalgia I can see you didn't get the point I was trying to say. Let me try again:
1. It doesn't matter if Steve Rodgers is killed or put at a home for the elderly. The point is there are specific chain of acts & history that makes Steve be "Captain America", Just like there is a back story to something like "Batman" or "Ironman". Simply swapping another character in that role doesn't make them work as Captain America, Batman or Ironman. To be honest Falcon could be a strong character if given the chance on it's own history imo, it saddens me to see him wasted like this.
2. Steve's story ended in endgame, so did "Captain America". I still call it hijacking, regardless of it being in the movie or comics or both, it still doesn't make for good entertainment neither it has any purpose to creating a hero.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about this becoming a flop. I just am pretty disappointed, since I can clearly see how much potential is lost here besides the fact another movie I could enjoy watching this year doesn't look as promising on the foundation level.

1. He’s not “Becoming” Captain America, he’s taking on the role no different from how you take a role at a Walmart when someone else quits.
2. He literally becomes Captain America in the comic book so I don’t know what the problem is, honestly I think you just have an issue with him being black calling it a hijacking even though his character arc has led up to this moment the whole time. If Bucky took the role instead you wouldn’t have a problem

1. Exactly the point, downgrading Captain America to simply a "Role" kills the purpose of a "Super Hero" movie at the foundation level.
2. Again, it's going in the wrong direction imo even in the comics. And no, I have no problems with him being black, And I wouldn't want Bucky to be Captain America either. I have problems with marvel absolutely ruining two of my favorite black characters last year by making them look miserable on screen! :/
I sincerely hope I'm wrong and it somehow happens to be a good movie, but they're up to a bad start already.

its simple they are grifters they claim that marval has loads of flops but one look at their films and it shows its not. the shows are hit and miss but the movies. ALL have done well espically from the positive reviews of them. They are not the marvel fans they claim to be
What do you mean all have done well? Ant Man 3? Eternals? The Marvels? These lost money and some were universally panned. Movies like Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder barely cracked a $100 mil in profit. The highest grossing is actually part Sony feature, Spiderman No way home.
Marvel has been dropping the ball for a while now.

@@jeremyrennerfn Ok, lets take a look at it, then. Currently, both phases 4 and 5 comprise of 10 released movies (and 2 more to go) + Spiderman No Way home and including Deadpool and Wolverine.
So out of 11 released movies, 3 were flops. 2 rely heavily on non Marvel set ups (Deadpool and Spider Man), 2 had solid earnings (Black Panther 2 and Guardians 3), and the rest of 3 had in the $100 to $150 mil range of net profit.
Do you see how we are moving the goalposts here from "ALL have done well" to "dramatize how many flops marvel has pull out"? When nearly 30% of your films are flops, another near 30% got by the skin of their teeth, and the most grossing films are for projects set up by other studios, then you are a farcry from just 6 years ago when you had the second and sixth highest grossing films of all time.
The fall is dramatic, moreso because it includes some of the same producers.
Now, I am not saying there isn't some form of exaggeration; after all, Shang Chi was a far better movie than they give it credit. But the criticism is sound in principle.
@ bro Marvels was realised during the pandemic so ofc their gonna loose money on that so that doesn't count. the rest of the moves made a profit so yes that is what u call a success. The eternals made double its profits at the box office so what the fuck u on about.
