I just found your channel & this video > I had to laugh when I saw your outdoor shower location: it's at a usable height, as it should be...(the one on my 5th Wheel is up near the top of the bedroom slide-out where you'd need to be about 12 ft. tall to use it while standing on the ground!) WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! 🤪 I'd say, "fire the designer", but the manufacturer has gone out of business 🤔 > so, I just have to laugh 😆... Thanks for the tips!
Hi! So we didn’t do one for the kitchen sink unfortunately - was prior to starting the channel. But the bathroom sink change out you can find in our playlist called “Our GeoPro Camper”. Let us know if you don’t see it. Thanks!
These were all pretty ingenious solutions to some pesky issues. I need to get some of that film to cover lights. We use reflectix too, but never thought of attaching it to the skylight in our living room with those clips. The outside shower fix is one of our favs. We don’t have one now, but wish we’d known that trick when we did. 😂😂. Have a great week guys.
Thanks! Wish we had a few of these hacks in our Class C when we had it and we love that the RV community is so good about sharing ideas! Hope you guys are doing well!!
o.k. once again on your bathroom shower skylight why not cut a piece of black sun blocker screen and belcro it onto the skylight. that way you can pull it down when not in use or leave it up all the time. will probably look much better then what you have now.
So, here in the south with the humidity and heat, we haven't had alot of luck with velcro unless it is something we never move. And the skylight cover is removed and put back up daily. Plus, with velcro in the bathroom, it is a humid place and debris in the air just gets stuck to it so for us, we don't use it much. But many people use velcro so if it works, its definitely a good option!
Feels good to get things done and knocked out! I live my life by lists and love the satisfaction of crossing off the simple things. Some good ideas here guys 👍🏼
Yes - love lists! After our long trip up north and not having these taken care of - they got crossed off pretty quick when we returned haha! Thanks for watching - looks like you guys are having a great summer and enjoying Wyoming!
Another good video, folks. As I was watch I ordered the light dims from Amazon. We are leaving for Santa Fe on Thursday and, once Amazon gets them here (within 20 minutes from now, I’m sure) they will be installed. I finally get to offer you a tip. My son, in Florida, recently sold his company that detailed planes and boats. We were in Florida in June and I asked him how his crew got rid of bug splats. We recently went to Kansas and came back with 2,564,980 bugs on the front of our ePro 19FBS. His answer is dryer sheets. Wet down the trailer, wet the dryer sheets, wipe away the bugs then rinse the trailer. They work fantastic. Give it a try on the Carolina creatures. Thanks again for the videos. I really enjoy them. Lamar, Colorado Springs, CO.
HAHA - that is a very specific number of bugs!! We used to live in Florida and wow - that is a great place to learn about how to remove them. Excellent tip and we have a few on the front we haven't removed from our last trip so we will be using this tip - thank you! Hope that the light dims work for you and would love to hear about the trip to Sante Fe. We haven't been but is on our radar for our trip this fall/winter. Safe travels!
Thanks Lee! Hope all is well! Appreciate the feedback on the new intro. We just had so many fun shots from our recent trip! Have a great rest of the week!
Those Lightdims are ingenious! I have a machine by my bedside at home that I plan to use this on. It has a bright red light and it drives me crazy at night. Thanks!
We always bring "the book". A note book that we write down what we need to do for the next trip like the little mini projects, things to purchase, and campground notes like sites we like to return too. Great idea about dimming the lights on appliances. Speaking of lights, our LED over head lights are too harsh. We placed tan colored construction paper inside the lens that actually worked well. Thanks
That is a great idea on the book! We are still old school as well - love lists and paper haha. And great tip on the lights! Going to check ours out to see if it can be done. Thanks for watching!
I love the new intro! These tips are so incredibly helpful! Thanks so much for the info and links! I am excited to watch the Wednesday uploads. I still have so many questions. It will be great to hear how people to handle them. Thanks again!
Thank you! We plan on changing it here and there with the seasons! And thank you so much for the watch and comments. We too are excited to share the knowledge of our viewers - that is what we love above the RV community. So many people willing to help with others just getting started! Have a great week!
Did you have to travel any significant amount to get your geo pro? I would buy one in a heart beat after watching your videos but I’m struggling to find dealers that stock geo pros or e-pros even remotely near me!
Hi - thanks for watching! We were fairly lucky. It was in 2019 so pre covid and while they were popular, they were still available. Since 2020 though, they are definitely scarce! What area of the country are you in?
I did something similar with the blinds in my 19BH. Instead of a pool noodle and felt pads, I cut 2 pieces of black foam pipe insulation, about 4" long, and put it on each end of the blind where it meets the vertical part of the window frame. Doesn't hold the blind out from the window very much, but it's nice and quiet.
Thanks for the great video, we have been discussing all of these items ourselves in addition to somehow blacking out the front window..we are pitch black sleeping ppl & 630am light is no bueno
Thank you for watching! Yes - that window is also on the to do list. A piece of the reflectix cut and velcroed in may work well (somehow missed that easy fix on this video haha!) but we are also planning another solution which will be an upcoming video. Have a great week!
Such fabulous ideas!! I love to cook as well and just invested in a Blackstone for our next trip. The idea for spices is brilliant! Good to know about the light patches as well, although I’ve not had this problem yet as I’ve not camped with power.
The cable clamp idea looks like something I can use. I've been using a piece of Reflectix to cover my bathroom skylight, same as you, but I was trying to use stick-on velcro patches. That worked fine...until about noon, when the adhesive melted from the heat. Those clamps look like just the thing!
Glad you can use! And yes - we also have tried velcro and as long as it isn't being taken down and put back regularly, it has been ok (pictures in the camper are velcroed). But otherwise, it gives away after a few take downs so we wanted to have something a bit more permanent as we knew velcro would never last. Any progress on the camper?
@@WinesPinesandCanines No luck at getting an axle any sooner, unfortunately. It's probably going to be mid-October by the time it's repaired. On the plus side, it looks like my insurance is going to cover it, anyway. I'm going to end up renting an R-Pod from Kirtland AFB Outdoor Rec (I'm retired military) for the trip to Telluride in September.
@@WinesPinesandCanines On another note, I accidentally hit the Closed Caption button, and it says your channel is called "Wine, Spines and Canines." RUclips thinks you're a chiropractor, apparently :)
We had a huge skylight in the bathroom years ago, which seemed like a really good idea at the time. But we quickly discovered that it was always covered with dirty water spots after it rained which looked terrible. I don't think I'd ever choose to have a skylight again. LOL
Yes - they are terrible to keep clean looking. They often will yellow as well. But most manufacturers put them in the campers because of head room and light.
Really appreciate your great ideas. As a language nut I suggest your "blinds" as shown should properly be called shades, blinds are something else all together as a trip to any retailer for such item proves...note the labelling there. The panel below seating should hinge on the bottom edge and latch on top edge to provide easier viewing and avoid having to bring face to floor for viewing. You have steps not stairs, which are more numerous and refer to homes and buildings.
We just bought a Geo Pro 19fbs yesterday. I have found your videos to be very helpful already. I was wondering which video has the storage beside your bed. The one beside the mattress that has the cup holder and basket. I would really love to do that in ours before we ever take it out.
Congratulations - hope you have a good first trip planned!! And thank you! What year is the camper- we had heard that some didn't have that little spot at the end of the bed so curious if that is true (impossible to find any to look at!) I believe we talked about it briefly in one of our first videos (it was the GeoPro review back from November) but we built it long before we started the channel so never did a video. We are thinking we may expand on it and if so, will film that. But the short version is- we built a box from plywood and then used a 1x8 for the top (trimmed down to the width we needed). Then we cut the top in 1/3 and 2/3. In the 1/3 we cut a hole for the drink holder to drop in and it was nailed down to the box. The 2/3 is a removable lid (so we have storage inside) and attached the basket as its "handle". Then we used a router around the edges of the top and then painted. Hope that helps!
Hello new to the channel love your videos. I am looking into getting a camper but have no place to keep it. What are you thoughts on rv storage places. Have you had any problems with keeping your camp in a storage place? Thanks for your videos. Chris
Thank you! So, we have used a few storage places in the past and have had no trouble (except one place - had mice but that taught us to leave NO food of any kind in the camper!). Do recommend one with a gated entry / fencing / lighting though. Or, some campgrounds have storage as well which may be a nice alternative if you have one nearby to where you live.
Thanks again for the great suggestions.. We’re anxiously awaiting your finger lakes video. We plan to be there in a couple of weeks. Keep the videos coming. We enjoy these..
Thanks for watching! And thank you for the comment. We should have the Finger Lakes episode up not this weekend, but the next. We had a great time - some amazing Harvest Hosts in the area and so many wineries, waterfalls, restaurants and cute towns. We can't wait to go back! Have a great rest of the week.
Great ideas!
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Fantastic! I’ll do these when we get ‘er home this weekend!
Let us know if you have any questions - thanks for watching!
So helpful! Do you have a product number for the finger pull on the sofa?
Hi Mary Lee. I know we talked on FB about this but for anyone that may see the comment - I did leave the link in the description! Thanks!!
