Good to see they're making an effort to paint as many locomotives as they can to make sure that whatever happens, their colors will be around for a good while yet 👍
@@Southern_Plains_Railfan Ok, so while visiting family, I saw locomotive 6600 with other locomotives on a train stopped over an overpass in Sacramento, CA waiting to enter the Roseville yard. A few days later I was staying at my cousin's home (they live adjacent to the Fresno Sub) and every time I hear a train I would look out of one of their windows and watch it go bye. Right after I woke up one morning, a heard a train and saw the same exact train I saw in Sacramento now here. It was being rerouted when it went through the yard and happened to be rerouted on this line. I could tell it was the same train because I remember the auto-racks and they were all there! I really wish I could have gotten a video or picture of that train, but even if I didn't it was still great to experience, and a great story to tell!
@@Southern_Plains_RailfanI’ve been trying to go to Louisiana and Mississippi for a while now and hope that in 2024 I get the chance to visit cpkc in Louisiana on the Shreveport subdivision and meridian speedway and Canadian National in Mississippi on the yazoo City subdivision I also have plans to go to North Little Rock to see Union Pacific
When you do come back down here In the bayou do the shreveport-lake Charles sub and stop by Leesville LA it’s a mini yard here from someone that just moved here and has been back and forth for 3 years since my girlfriend was born and raised in DeRidder
This was great, as usual. I loved seeing those switchers, and really do hope they are operational. Also, the first train you said was a loaded grain train. How did you know it was loaded? Anyways, keep up the great work and keep railfanning!!
Thank you! Most every time you see a grainer going south; it’s loaded, because it’s most likely going to port for export. Also, it had a DPU at the end. I’ve never seen an empty grainer with a DPU.
Merch, anyone? okieprint.com/SPR/shop/home

The coal train didn't go from the Red Rock Sub. It travels from the Powder River Basin to KC, then takes the KCS line to the TXU plant in Tatum, TX
Oh ok, thanks for the info.
Nice information!
Same with UP coal on that line.

Its actually the STB, not the NTSB that will approve/ deny the merger. My bad.
It’s OK we all make mistakes

Thanks for the info! I’ll see if I can swing by those places next time I’m in Louisiana.
You came to my home state of Louisiana
The KCS 661 is being rebuilt into a Eco set I believe
Interesting, glad it’ll be seeing new life!

@@Southern_Plains_Railfan Oh, ok. Thanks!
What is the address of the place where you went to in KCS’s locomotive shops?
RIP Kcs
I wished that the intro with the horns blaring was taken out. It's more like a shock to the senses. Otherwise, a good video. 👍
There are probably a lot of gators lol
H-HOUKCK has 2 Santa Fe warbonnets on it. (629 and 667) Idk if it will go though Wichita, but I though you’d like to know.
@@Southern_Plains_Railfan thanks
@@Southern_Plains_Railfan I doubt I will see it. Did you catch it?
