Oooh i also did that water rim a couple weeks ago, curious how you did it!
Edit: The bubbles and the deformations look so cool! I tried to use a curve circle and raycast it onto the mesh at the height of the waterline to avoid boolean, which also worked but I don't know if it is any better performance wise.
