That XL green is also very good for letting you tell mono from fluor whether on the reel or as a leader.

Great buzz bait evening. Nothing more fun than a good topwater bite! Warm up to that wake bait a little. You had me excited you were actually going to throw it. If I can catch an occasional fish on one you should be able to slay em given your mad skillz😉. I’m hopin’ to learn a thing or two watching you fish that wake bait.

Picked up a few of those buzzbaits after your summer fishing vid. You're having better luck with it than I!
The new Max X reel has very tight tolerances. They pushed the line guide out so it casts best. I like the super low profile frame. It's a $55 reel that feel like a $100 reel. However, the line guide guard (front plate) needs to be bigger. Hopefully we get a full review of the combo soon. And please show us where the balance point is.
Just got my pb bass the other day, it was a 5.7 pounder it was fun and your videos helped me a lot with my fishing technique so thx.

The smallies down at the river were munching the old shakey head today, they were hitting it so well I expect that unless there's a good sized change in the pressure I will probably get a bunch of them on that set up the rest of the week, give it a shot on the rip rap and chunk rock areas you fish

Sounds like the weather we had here in Oregon about a week and a half ago. 102 on Saturday. 111 on Sunday. Great job on the buzz bait man. 🎣👍
That was a pretty brutal week man, not a fan, hopefully we will have no more tomfoolery of that sort in the near future

As far as buzz baits go, ive only had one buzz bait fish this year
I always end up taking the trailer hook back off my buzzbait. It kills my confidence in them. I get it in my head that it screws up the action
So next time someone ask you, "What's all the Buzz about"?, you can show them why they should be throwing one, haha.

That looks like the spot where you stepped on your rod.🤔 Is there a memorial there for it? Wake baits do work I promise, but buzzbait bites are more violent.
I have two buzzbaits I don’t even use. One is the free swinging strike king one and that thing never ran right. Have you tried a plastic buzzbait? I know TB said they work great to slow roll

BUZZBAIT FEESHIN... what more can be said, lol. give the Strike King honey buzz a go, stout wire free swinging hook, runs straight, works good with or without the skirt, and any trailer like split tails, swimbaits, and toads! the free swinging hooks helps keep em pinned better.

I dont have the patience to make myself reel left handed. Only thing i do left handed is flip/pitch snd only reason i do that is because i taught myself to use my left when i started learning how to flip
I liken what you must feel like is trying to write with your non writing hand. Personally I find it weird that people switch hands after they cast to reel in the line. I may be one of those oddball that writes lefthanded, throws with my right, and kicks with my left. I fish all lefthanded reels and cast with my right. It just feels right.
