Would’ve gotten a deluxe but the shop didn’t have one in stock so I got the JM. I still may get a deluxe as well. What’s better than owning a Jazzmaster? Owning 2 jazzmasters...lol

@@theguitarmanifesto Yeah, i figured the pots weren't the best. I'll eventually be modding the JM as well. Already ordered a buzz stop to mellow out that ringing behind the bridge. I may disable the rhythm circuit as well as i rarely use it. Some people thing you get more out off the pickups with it taken out. Also after watching your video I'm thinking about a pick guard change because yours looks so sweet with the tortoise one..lol
Yeah, its a good size which I love but if you're not used to it it can take some time to adjust. My guess is because its modeled after his personal 60's jazzmaster I bet that one has a meatier neck which is why they did it. Keep playing it and i bet after you adjust you'll grow to love the neck profile. I tend to play a lot of guitars with even thicker necks than this so when I play on it sometimes it feels thin compared to a few of my other guitars.
My son has his eye on this guitar 👍, my son is a worship guitarist but we also play pop punk and emo in that 90'era. I sit in on bass or drums depending in who's writing what.

just got mine. the neck is a lot meatier than I'm used to. Wonder why he made it so chunky
