Mikey's Hair System Application Tutorial:
Preparing the System:
I begin by spraying alcohol around the edges of the system to ensure better adhesion with the tape. Then, I dry it off.
The system I'll be using today is the Nicholas system from La Vivid, which has been incredible for me.
Applying the Tape:
Starting with the longest side, I apply the tape as far as I can until the system shape starts curving. Then, I cut it at an angle.
I overlap each piece of tape until I have a continuous strip around the perimeter of the system.
After completing the back, I move on to the front, leaving about a centimeter gap at the lace front.
I use two layers of tape, one slightly higher than the other, to cover all the PU.
Positioning the System:
I mark up my forehead to determine where I want the system to go and position it accordingly.
Gluing Down the Front:
Once the front is in place, I remove the peel of the tape from the back of the system and pull it outwards and backwards with moderate tension.
Then, I glue down the centimeter at the front using ultra hold glue, leaving it for seven minutes.
Final Touches:
After seven minutes, I use a comb to push the lace into the glue, ensuring a secure bond.
Finally, I remove any clips and style the hair as desired.
