This looks delicious! My girlfriend is from Trinidad and she makes this but I didn’t know how. Now I do! Thanks Mom! I love your videos. I’m a big fan! ❤️.....Joey in Atlanta
I bookmarked your set of #TrinidadSundayLunch series! They all look delicious! I would love to see more vegetarian and fish meals. I will be watching the Potato Salad and Fresh Salad in the near future. Thanks for sharing your family, cooking, and home with us!
The shadow beni is always in the green seasoning 🤣😂 and stewed beef is just like chicken trini style 👍 but needs plenty more cooking because beef is a though meat. Love your cooking mom. I love to cook and my friend kids they call me mom's and they all love my food 🤣😂 I love when your girls cook with you. 👍🇹🇹.
Thank you so much. I love your explanation and seeing what you do. I grew up with the food but did it learn how to cook it. Could you do one on stew beef? Is I the same as stew chicken?
A lovely good day Mom.i have my chicken marinating to be cooked soon cant help the aroma i got when i opened the fridge .thank u so much for this lovely recipe also i love you for not using shadon beni.you are now simply the best on youtube .stay safe and take care. Can i request more trini recipes please especially for Divali and christmas .😘
I start with my meat already cleaned and washed, I seasoned it with the ingredients shown in the vide. I do not use green seasoning just fresh seasoning every time I season meat. I prefer not to have bandania in my stew and curry chicken. just preference but of course add to suit your taste
Moms have you made dhal rice and bhaggee yet if you havent i am requesting this please. And some chutney or choka on the side thanks you are a great cook
I used whatever seasonings I showed in the video, I don't typically use green seasoning in my stew, but it's just my preference you can absolutely add it in!
I don't use it a lot, mostly in seafood dishes. It's very overpowering and want each dish to taste different instead of only bandania. But I know in trinidad a lot of people love using it and that's totally fine! Everyone's palette is a little different. I also don't use green seasoning I like to make it fresh every time I cook. I hope this helps you understand why I don't always use bandania in my cooking.
thank you for your comment! I like to use my seasoning all fresh instead of blending them traditionally. I also like to only use bandania in certain dishes, like seafood, fish, shrimp etc.
Love the colour and the tip on preventing the sugar from sticking to the spoon when turning 👍👍👍😍
The colour really turned out nice!
I love the colour! I just need some macaroni pie and stew red beans to go with this!

Tanty, you didn't show you supposed to prepare and season the meat first before you started browning your sugar. Also where is your green seasonings?
I start with my meat already cleaned and washed, I seasoned it with the ingredients shown in the vide. I do not use green seasoning just fresh seasoning every time I season meat. I prefer not to have bandania in my stew and curry chicken. just preference but of course add to suit your taste

Great colour but no green seasonings?
not in my stew, but definitely add it if you like it to yours!
Love watching you cook very nice
Nicely done Mom. Amazing recipe. Wish I could cook like you do..Enjoy for me pls! ❤💯🇬🇾🙏
I definitely enjoyed it! Let me know if you try it out!
My 1st time cooking this, thanks for the super-helpful video! One question: why did mine end up a little bitter? What could I do to prevent this?
If it come out bitter you most likely brown the sugar too long
@@nicolettes6443 thanks!
Thanks mom, look delicious
Most welcome 😊
Can you use browning as a substitute for soya?
Did u use green seasoning to season it up?
Was wondering d same thing
Try adding some freshly blended green seasoning. Celery, chive, parsley
I used whatever seasonings I showed in the video, I don't typically use green seasoning in my stew, but it's just my preference you can absolutely add it in!
@@momstrinicooking4449 yes that's true everyone cooks differently. Keep up the good work tho
@@momstrinicooking4449 So do I....' I don't use green seasonings in my stew either
I’ve noticed she doesn’t use bandhania ( culantro) I’m surprised .
Can you use chicken breast for this recipe?
I made this chicken - but I am Vegetarian so I am waiting for vegetarian dishes
Will upload soon

You're too adorable, remind me of home.
We miss you. Where are you....
You can look at a youtube channel called afrisynergy.

I see you don't season your meats with green seasonings
