    Why am I in a family even though I'm 18+?

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI

      So being in a family also has other benefits, for instant if you have Microsoft 365 family you can be added to the a family so you also get the full benefits of Microsoft 365. It also allows, if there is two Xbox's in the same house you can set them so they can share purchased games and game pass subscription. so there are other perks to being in a family.

    I’m considering adding a family member to my Family Share account on my Xbox console who was banned from the Microsoft Rewards Program, but I need to know if adding them to my Family Share account would negatively impact my Microsoft Rewards account.

    Does it matter if you add an account for child first and then add the adult account to manage family?

    I have twin boys and they are old enough now to have their own accounts but Xbox still requires my main account to be singed in for them to play the games I already payed for what is the deal with this? Am I really going to be forced to pay for the game two more times

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  6 месяцев назад +1

      if you set up your account on the Xbox or Xbox consoles, make sure the games you they want to play are downloaded, and then create a family group, add your twin boys account profiles as family members. As you would then be in a family with accounts on the same Xbox consoles they will be able to access games depending on what age restriction and other setting you apply. if you are setting up more than 1 Xbox console like this you will need to decide which console is your home console, as the other consoles will need an internet connection to check the access to the content is still approved. If you do not want anybody, but you to have access to your account, go to settings and add passcode restrictions on your profile. you could then add instinct sign in for another account, select the profile you want to instant sign-in, go to settings, go to account, and select sig-in, security and pin. here you assign the instant sign-in to the chosen account like one of your twin boys or you can assign controllers so they will sign in a dedicated account. so the Xbox will directly sign someone else in while your account is the background for when you want to play, make purchases or change restrictions.

    Why isn’t the pause button visible in the Family Settings app for ios? I have searched everywhere for an answer and I haven’t found a thing.

    • @jeffd5694

      I think I figured it out. It appears you can only pause if the screen time clock is not counting down.

      you can only use Game pass account on two consoles at once, where one will be set to your home. the other will have to have the games downloaded. but it is limited two consoles

    such a pity that microsoft doesnt have the option to restrict setting up a totally different account to the family one, so that the kids just simply bypass the family account all together and use their own one

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  10 месяцев назад +3

      To prevent your some from adding new profiles to the console, you first need to create a guest key using the main adult account and then deselect the option 'Let people download & make new accounts'.
      settings --> system --> signed-out content restrictions --> create a guest key --> Uncheck the box, let people download/make accounts

    How do I sync Xbox game pass from my console to my pc with family sharing

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  Год назад

      To sync game pass if you sign in to Xbox App on your Windows 10/11 device with the same account as your Console it should sync without needing to do anything else. but you will need to re-download games you want to play on your PC.

    I’m 18 and still have a child account, I’m trying to pay for online but I’m not allowed to, and whenever I go to the adult account to change my restrictions it’s grey and won’t let me do anything. All the other accounts don’t do that. My twin brother doesn’t have this problem and I’m so confused

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  6 месяцев назад

      I would recommend speaking to the Admin Account in your Family Group (as your account is greyed out then it suggests you are still listed as a child account) and they will be able to adjust your settings from there!

    Why do I need to download an app? Why can I not just do this via the XBOX or a website?

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  Год назад

      With the App you can have active notifications for those times we are not sat at our Xbox, the app is also optimised for mobile so its a smooth, faster experience for approving requests, setting parameters and it's easier and faster to switch between different family members.

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  Год назад

      The Xbox family setting apps lets you access Microsoft and Xbox designed apps and features. twitch is not one of those, so you are unable to monitor via Xbox Family Setting, but you can set perimeters for age related content across Xbox, Windows 10/11.

    • @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI
      @MicrosoftExpertZoneUKI  10 месяцев назад +1

      you do need an email to create a gamertag and to link, you could keep the details for this if you didn't want you 7 year old to have access, they can still request, permissions directly through the Xbox.
