I am getting ready to do a no sugar challenge for 30 days starting tomorrow. Thank you for this. And thank you for being authentic enough to speak the truth about quitting the challenge early.
I wish you the best of luck! I always like to show exactly what I went through so people watching can manage actual expectations😁
I think not having lots of sugar does change tastebuds gradually. Like i find sweet potatoes now extremely sweet, and my coffees barely need unsweetened almond milk. For some reason now I find my sugar free hazelnut syrup I used to put in my coffee extremely sweet, like wha.
I totally agree! Thanks for sharing!
Love this video edit. You really took us on your journey while keeping viewers entertained and educated on several topics!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found it useful! it means a lot! 💙
I just reduced the sugar gradually in my morning cappuccino from 3 to 2 to 1 spoon...very proud of myself 😁
Great job!
Great video!
I just love challenge videos!
It's so much fun watching someone's progress and results in such a short amount of time! Just proves what's possible with some dedication and discipline!
Just finished a 30-day cycling challenge myself and it was awesome :)
Thank you!
So do I!
It did get pretty hard towards the end though🙈 l'll admit I need more discipline next time😁
Good Job! I'm proud you!
What challenge will you do next?
I am on day 7 on my no sugar detox and day 6 was a Good Happy day... like you I felt very very sad... like a void in my life... my sleep was disturbed day 2-5 and I was very tired and low energy. Today I feel Good and cravings are not so bad, I feel I can continue, specially with staying home right now... my goal is 30 days🙏Thanks for sharing.
Great job! that's really good to hear 👏🏻👏🏻Thanks for sharing your journey so far, I'm sure you can continue! Good luck!
Did you see any results?
It's a 7.day of my chalenge sugar free. Really first week is very hard. But now I can understand how does sugar inpact my body. I will continue. You re so interesant and funny. ☺
Thank you! Good job getting through the first week, I'm proud of you! Keep it up!
Technically the sugar in bread is used up by yeast and it will almost completely disappear from the final product so you can eat it, it counts as no added sugar
that's such a great fun fact! Thanks for sharing!
@@AccidentalAdult of course it depends on the bread: industrial bread might simply have too much, but for French or European (loaves, not the squared, presliced) usually little to nothing is left.
I was going to stop sugar completely, but just decided not to eat stuff with high amounts like any candy, ice cream, soda, cookies, juice, and such. So far no temptations to eat sweets, specially when at the grocery store.
that's great to hear! good job!
Great video, you did good, just wondering what you ate during this challenge, stopping sugar I can do, it’s just find foods with no added sugar is the problem for me,
Thank you! I simply cooked my food. If you’re looking for some inspiration recipes you can find them on my channel! And you will find literally exactly what I was eating😁
many dried fruits do not have added sugar. or maybe its different in different countries. at least in Northern Europe many dried fruits do not have added sugar luckily:). but im now addicted to fruits. i love fruits, they taste soo good. they taste better than any dessert:))). i eat dessers sometimes, but honestly fruits are more tasty:)
Interesting! Thanks for sharing!
😂🤍🤍 going to do it!
good luck!!
seen so many things with sugar makes me feel like I don't have a choice, sugar is everywhere, in everything
I’ll admit it’s pretty hard to avoid it but not impossible i guess
Me too! i had nightmares! Some really screwed up nightmares. And i never have nightmares. I havent had a nightmare since i was a child. So yeah. Bad side effect.
I’m sorry you had to go through that my friend. But good job on your challenge!
"Everything in moderation" :)
Well done for your efforts 👍you are right. Moderation is the key. I don't eat sugar during the week but at weekends I allow myself to go nuts 😁 the thing is , over time my tastes have changed. Now processed foods taste too sweet and artificial and my sweet tooth is gone. I still like the idea of sweet things, just not the taste.
That's really interesting, i actually feel the same way! Thanks for sharing!
You're one fine actor.. Gal
Thanks bro
Came by looks, stayed for personality.
Thank you so much! Made my day😁
I started no sugar a week ago yesterday. I will say that before starting this I had already cut back on sugar a lot.
You're going to hate me but I haven't had headaches, my sleep hasn't significantly changed, and I'm not particularly craving it. But here's my caveat: I baked a couple of loaves of my own 100% whole wheat bread. I did put about a half tablespoon of honey in the dough, but spread out in two loaves it's pretty limited still. And (full disclosure) I'm allowing myself roughly a single square of Lindt 85% Dark Chocolate a day. So not technically sugar free, but very, very close at about one teaspoon of sugar a day. Does this make me a cheat? Maybe, but it *is the way I'm doing it. Cravings are minimal. I don't feel bad at all. I'm breathing better and the pestilential phlegm in my throat is gone. My arthritis seems improved and I hope to be able to start walking a little for exercise. I suspect my bloodwork is better, but since I never had it checked to begin with I'll never know.
Do I still wish for dessert? Yes, some, but for me I think the benefits of being off sugar are going to outweigh the momentary thrill of that sweet taste.
Every little bit counts, you're doing phenomenal!
youre doing great! keep it up!😁
I am 120 day on non sugar diet and i fell awesome. Never felt better
Great job! Keep it up!
Oh no are you OK get back everyone falls over
oh man i felt like this when i first tried my keto diet
Must have been hard
Your hair is so beautiful!!
Thank you so much 😀very kind of you!
Actually sugar are more prevalent than you think. Sugar is Carbohydrate (glucose) and that include starchy food, that's mean bread, rice, potato and some vegetable. Almost all fruit is also contain a lot of sugar, the fructose kind. Dairy is too, the galactose kind. So to just quit table sugar is not really quitting. If you are really wanted to avoid sugar just go low carb high fat diet or go carnivore. In fact french food had a lot of unsaturated fat in it, so get rid the carbs and straight to pate, meat, egg, etc. source: a diabetics who had a remission and ate no carbs for 1 year.
Thanks for the info! Yes definitely there is natural sugar in many of the things we eat like fruits for example. But fruit has natural fiber that prevents the sugar from being metabolized too quickly, so for the average non diabetic, it's ok to eat natural sugars. The point of the video is not to quit all sugar, just the bad kind 😄
im on day 7 no sugar and it is tough and i said the same thing i wont have a problem with this challenge and im craving sugar and still have headache and they suck cuz its all day 🤦🏻♂️ but imma see this thru i wanna see if there is any big change
You can do it! I believe in you! Keep going it’ll get better🙌🏻
I started not to have sugar in my daily life any more. 3 days in..... i wasnt even hungry for breakfast anymore and skipped it. I had to force myself to eat 2 hours later otherwise ill become ill. that was a eye opener !!
That's so interesting!
I am at 15 days without sugar and jagger. I didn't feel sick even 1 single day. I haven't lost weight. No changes with in my body
Great job! and thanks for sharing 😊
Omggggg sugar is hardest to give up
Right! it's in EVERYTHING
I'm doing the same no added sugar for a month and the withdrawal is so bad
I support you! Just push through the withdrawals, it'll get better!
Accidental Adult I am for sure! At first I also stopped eating fruit then I heard most people who did no sugar challenge diet still ate fruit just not added sugar. So I started to eat fruit again made it a bit easier
Oh yeah definitely. Good luck!
@@LoveMyAnime1218 WHats ur results so far
Anna Kessler I finished, I didn't loose much weight just stayed at my average weight 144 and didn't get much natural energy however it changed my taste buds a lot so now sweet things are really really sweet to me like overly sweet where it's not even satisfying anymore. So it's made a difference where now I like to buy low sugar treats
“Enegry level were stable, felt less hungry and bloated, i was a good eye opening experience. but I quit”
As though that is not fun/important enough.
Yes, sugar is more addictive than cocaine.
Bread is life
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Man we should start sniffing sugar
Beats the whole point of the video but sure!
Day 5 without sugar
Good job! Keep it up!
I can't eat as much sugar anymore since adopting a WFPB diet and now whenever I do splurge I get headaches :(
I feel a lot better day to day now though :)
...But not seeing any difference in my skin :/
Could you share your skincare routine? :)
That's great to hear! As long as you feel better that's all that matters.
My skincare routine is pretty intense, I use a moisturizer, eye cream, anti aging cream and anti spot/ scar cream for acne. I exfoliate and cleanse and I also do masks like once a month. I also drink as much water as I can and avoid fried foods as much as humanly possible. I know that sounds a lot but that's the only way I got results. If you want more details I'll be happy to make a video and explain why this worked for me :D
@@AccidentalAdult yeah I'm a water addict too lol. I follow a pretty simple skincare routine, (cleanse, anti spot serum, vitamin c, oil+moisturizer, AHA) but don't seem to have any luck, even with adjusting how much or how little I do. No doubt it has helped but my next step is definitely a more targeted treatment.
And yes a skincare video would be lovely! If that's what you think is in line with your channel of course :) thanks for replying.
@@oletoswin7451 you have a pretty good routine, hmmm I'm not sure why it's not working out for you..I think your dermatologist can give you better advice, maybe you need special creams?
Of course! having a good skin care routine is part of being an adult! I'd be happy to share mine and explain why it worked for me ☺️
You remind me of Audrey Hepburn
Wow! what a compliment! thank you!💛
Quitting sugar made me crave it less
Same with me!
If you eat fruits then title of your video is just a clickbait.
Yes thank you
It’s natural sugar not unknown ingredients to your body therefor it doesn’t turn into fat
