It’s not that I didn’t know how to do the herringbone stitch and it looked beautiful in the video tutorials, but I just couldn’t crochet them the normal way they do in the videos because the yarn always fell off the hook and that was so frustrating to me! Anyway, I was making a scarf the other night and I was thinking about the herringbone stitch and Suddenly I was on roll with the stitch because I found a alternative way to crochet the herringbone stitch pattern and I’m loving it! I also wanted to add that I don’t chain 2 at the turning point to the new roll because I just chain 1 and turn and do the normal half double crochet in the first stitch and the herringbone stitch all the way across. My edges are nice and straight up with no bumps. Love it!
You showed the part I needed to see, the turn. TY! Also, what is the brand and color names of the yarn you used?? That to me made it look elegant. TY again.
