These are the people that condone child molestation an insest they are disgusting. Im so happy for the young ladys who have freed themselves of the toxic upbringing and yet still have grace for their mom.
I am so outraged at all of this (I have never even seen an episode of their show and thankfully never assisted their ratings), I just wish we could all get a direct line to them as well as IBLM and have an articulate conversation about how disgusting this is.
It was so disgusting IBLP crap was just scary! These people don’t care of love their kids they are mentally ill.
I’ve experienced joys and heartbreaks. I have never been SA:ed by my brother though, and forced to talk about it on tv.
Just finished the documentary ,and u thought it was so well done my heart breaks for all the IBLP survivors features in it they were so brave.
I used to really like this show, now I know better. Jim Bob offered his son in law $10 an hour while he made millions, protected his male child (most valuable) knowing what he did to his sisters and is now preparing himself to fleece others. No sir, that is not entertainment. That is your legacy, and now the world knows.

They didn’t condone his actions when he was younger. They did what they thought best and sent him away to a place to get better. They still don’t condone his actions today. Parenting his tough. Show me the manual😊

WHY? It's because MOST parents were taught to believe that they're ALWAYS right, and they ALWAYS know what's best for their kids, that's why! Parents who admit to making mistakes, apologize, and try to do better shows strength, NOT weakness!
They willingly defended the monster of the son …. They did not protect your daughters who are actual victims, their grandchildren who are actual victims…. They made their lives public good riddance. I don’t feel bad for them one, but I feel bad for the actual victims … the audacity of some people is mind blowing

I never spanked my children untill I broke their spirits even though my kids acted out. I hope the child protection services get the last few out of the house now. IBLP is about surrendering into misogyny and abuse. The idea of blanket training is sickening.
Blanket training reminds me of the book Brave New World, where they had an electrified floor they used to punish and break the will of babies when they crawled toward the beautiful flowers or books. You are so right, it’s sickening.
And to listen to Michelle tell how it was done, as if it was a good thing, made my heart so bad. I was raised in a home where spanking was part of discipline. But there is a fine line between discipline and abuse, and what they were doing was abuse, no matter how sweetly you describe it. These parents are mentally ill.
I suppose im just not the "break peoples sprits" kind of guy. Especially not my family. Especially my kids. Sometimes my company does it in lieu of...., hate that too. I don't believe in hitting, Esp. my family and kids. Probably a good idea others never hit my family and kids. I have such not great stuff in my personality too. Just saying.
If the Duggar parents have negative opinions about the media, then why are they on tv?
The show always seemed off to me - Jim Bob seemed like a Politician Only Caring about one thing Money and His so called religion. His family was just a paycheck for him. Any religion that put women and child as property or lower on the human spectrum as a Man is a Cult in my eyes. Their so called religion reminds me a lot of the FLDS Mormons and even the Amish. Children should be allowed to be happy not live in fear, forced to work, and I would never live in a household where I have to Obey anyone but myself. This document series made me realize Church is no longer an interest to me; I can be a Christian without being preached to or forced to obey laws to live life.
Then why did they go public? For the MONEY!
They sure turn on it quickly when it doesn’t profit them

Hypocritical of the Duggar parents to express disappointment some of their children participated in what is essentially another TV show. For 15 years the Duggars have been all about televising "from when they first wake up, until they go to bed." TV weddings; TV births, if I am not mistaken one child birth sitting on a toilet! Did the parents honestly ask their children how they felt about being a reality tv show? The children were raised to be highly public with their private lives.
Isn’t it odd that in America it is ok to engage in abusive behavior toward others as long as you can attribute it to an unprovable supernatural force? Take infant circumcision, corporal and capital punishment, female domination, child marriage, and a multitude of other abusive behaviors for example. I know that plenty of people personally need a god, rules, and the camaraderie of religion but that personally think it should not be excused as a reason to abuse others.

After watching a lot of the documentary, they seem to want to make all Christian’s and homeschooling sound ridiculous. It has a very liberal tone to it and all I wanted was to see was the truth about bill gothard and the cult
I agree with them. There is a focus on tearing down all types of conservative Christianity. I believe most people who were associated with IBLP got more good than bad out of it.

It must have been so wonderful to know Jesus at such a young age. Many have had parents FAR worse. The children seem to have found such great spouses which to me shows overall good parenting ❤❤❤❤

No, she is not right. The documentary shows the objective truth of IBLP. The teachings are in black and white, so i don’t know how you dispute that.
@@The_Winsome_Pixie just my opinion, there is things in your life and mine that is not right..none of US has done all things right...and we all fall short of the glory of God...I see beautiful in them and I pray for their falls just like we all should. We are to busy pointing out people's flaws, instead of loving them through their trials ..that is what being a loving person is supposed to be in God's eyes ..I'm sure they have changed some things...but to keep degrading them will do nothing for anyone...
@@deltaridgway4393 I will try to respond as best I can. Yes, people make mistakes and few-if any-are perfect. But this isn’t about “flaws”. Abuses need to be confronted, abusers held accountable, and victims heard. Whether or not the Duggars have made changes is up for debate. The fact is, they participated in child abuse and they unquestionably profited from it. They (very publicly) indoctrinated others to live and parent in the same abusive way. They promoted-and continue to promote- appallingly unhealthy models. This documentary is not about degradation, it’s about EDUCATION. It may well help others extricate themselves and their families from similar situations, or encourage victims to seek therapy. We should not need to silence the truth to protect the Duggars’ feelings. To my mind, a true Christian would come forth, soul bared and ready to learn, repent, and repair the damage.

The Duggar parents appear to have narcissistic tendencies. They had opportunities to make things right and slip away from the media spotlight but they chose not to due to their own sense of self importance above anybody else including their own children. They have stolen so much from their children. Michelle said the documentary was “sad”, it certainly was, for the Duggar children and the other children caught up in that toxic cult. It Was such a well made and informative documentary.
