@@teikajackson8103 that is so true. Makes me wonder though w all the forms JB made them fill out, neither Derek, Jeremy or Ben hardly make any money at the time. I wouldn't think he'd let his daughters marry a man who can't fully support them. But obviously he really doesn't care about his daughters anyway

Derek is a manipulative family divider, not a true Christian! He will end up doing to Jill, what he is doing to his wonderful in-laws, and many others, eventually, if someone (or it may take a few people), don’t man up, and help Jim Bob and Michelle, hold this Christ hating Derek accountable to Christ which is only way to get these Pharisees saved and able to deal with reality! Once Derek replaces Jill, he, and his enablers, will joyfully divide Jill from her own children, in order to manipulate them into worshipping him over worshiping Christ (while simultaneously manipulating everyone into thinking he is the victim and Jill is the bad wife, and mother by using the same type of slanderous, lying narcissist methods that he and Jill and media are doing on this show towards their innocent loving parents now.
Derek and Jill and media are deceiving many naive people into thinking the Duggar parents are the perpetrators when they are the victims of Jill and Derek’s most wicked abuse ever!
Many wicked young men are treating their naïve young wives like Derek is treating Jill right now (and how Jeremy is treating Jinger)! Alienating them from their Christlike family members and friends (and therefore from Christ) via slander and unjust criticism!
Notice Jill says that Derek’s mind was always wired to think like a lawyer! I totally agree! Lawyers are people who lie and deceive to manipulate people for money.

She is a good example of someone who has recognized the toxicity she was raised in and has grown due to her hard work in that area. There's no going back at this point, and she has suffered greatly for the stance she's taken.

Does Jill talk about her mum Michelle choosing to support her eldest son, who committed incestuous pedophilia, and actively choosing not to support or advocate for her daughters who were the victims of their horrible and disgusting brother's crimes? I personally would find that to be a very hard pill to swallow. I always found Josh and his father to be quite gross. And I feel horrible for Anna, she's an extreme example of the old saying "Marry In Haste, And Repent In Leisure". I pray that she will just take her kids, and whatever cash she can get a hold of, and then just disappear. She was raised in a cult, and indoctrination from childhood, and that can make it so difficult to see reality even when it's literally in front your face.

And at the time I could tell Derick was NOT cut from the same cloth as the Duggars, even though beliefs and some morals were the same, he seemed much more PROGRESSIVE than any other man to have married into the Duggar family. And really remember Jill and Jessa being the main two that intrigued me. Mind you I was 21yrs old attime. But even back then I could feel Jill’s tenacity for justice and curiosity of different cultures and ways of living. Jill don’t take any BS from anyone!! And I love it. trust and forgiveness are two different things...perfectly stated. Years ago my dad, my hero , told me to live by "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"... He passed two years ago this coming tuesday... might be the best advice I ever received in my life. I easily forgive, but that does not mean I give that person a chance to hurt me again. At 62 years old, the loss of my dad still grieves me, we have mom...she loves me, I stop in daily to check on her, a few mins visiting, she was VERY hard on me growing up, and dad would tell her to give it a break... hes not here now to do that...but, shes mama...learning how to not reply, to have a reason to walk away...has helped...and a husband that has my six...

The fact that Jill is still working towards a reconciliation with the parents shows that she's still got some internalized beliefs to overcome. She needs to go no contact. Her father won't change, and he'll always use his wife and other children against her to get his way.

Not only were the girls made to deny anything happened to them they weren't given any counseling . The girls watched as their brother was protected while they were thrown to the wolves. The police department wasn't supposed to release these records to the media and the media should not have promoted it without any consideration of how it would affect the girls. When I searched for video interviews with Jill right now, I am about 65% of the way through her book. And I am ANGRY at Jim Bob for his total manipulation of his KIDS!! He has treated them as though he OWNS them and they are there for his enrichment. If it were in Christ, I would say great, but it has been for total financial gain on the backs of his wife and children.
And this cult that they are in, where these kids, even into their adult lives, are so tied up in knots as to if they are going against God by questioning their dad's decisions.... which were evil, and we can see that clearly today, is horrific!
I read Jessa's book a long time ago, but Jill's book reveals so much more truth to this cult.
Currently, I know of a local family whom I met about 2 years ago. Of their 8-9 kids, I only know the 4 younger girls. Two... we finally encouraged them to move out from their parents' house, though all 4 have graduated high school and we wished they were ALL out of the house!! Their dad and mom are into some kind of similar "religion" and these girls, if they have a chance in life, need to get out from under "dad"!!! My close friend and I who work at our local CPC strongly feel that this family is following the same exact cult that the Duggers' are in. (Gotthard)
What is odd is that the older children in this family, once they got out of the house..... don't want anything to do with mom and dad. These are all boys. The two girls who just moved out a year ago, look like they are around 15 or 16 years old, but in actuality they are 24 & 32 years old, and only the oldest has her drivers license. The two at home are around 18 & 20 and are still so clingy to mom and dad it is frustrating.
The eldest girl recently told me that she feels God is leading her to make a big decision, but she had to take her folks out to lunch to see if they would give her their blessing... something to do with an unmarried woman needs a man's opinion to make decisions!?!? What the heck????
This is why my friend and I turned to these Dugger girl books, to try to find some kind of way to reach out to these young women.

On my wedding day my mother said to me that I didn’t need anything from them. I was not sure what she meant but over the years my parents and siblings took advantage of my husband and I. My brother sexually assaulted me through my teen years. My parents knew but did nothing because this brother lied and also was active in our church. I was given Valium and after my parents passed found that I was officially written out of their Will. I was written as a surviving member in their obituary but in the Will written 3 years previous as deceased.
