- In this fishing video I’m fishing for dinner below Guntersville dam on Wheeler Lake which is a part of the Tennessee River.
Several species of fish which includes largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, spotted bass and catfish can be found there and is always a great place to fish. The fishing technique and fishing bait I’m using is a simple way to catch fish and fill your freezer with delicious tasting fish.
Hope y’all enjoy

Rocky, you have changed my view of fishing. When you fish for dinner- use live bait, and catch the bait yourself.
Thanks Eugene

Loved the video as always Rocky. You've put the idea of live bait fishing in my head, so now I need to learn to throw a cast net to catch some bait 😁.
Thanks
I appreciate it 🎣
Live bait fishing is a lot of fun
It took me a while to learn to throw a cast net and I’m still not that good. Start out with a five foot net to learn and then work your way up.
I need to do a video on cast net soon.
Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment 🎣🎣
I think I see me on the dam wall. 😆Great video man!
Thanks
I appreciate it 🎣🎣
Good job ROCKY, we got 8 flood gates open at Pickwick Dam for several days, and it is rolling buddy
Marty....get down to Kogers Island. Fish the inside channel south side and just below the tip of the island. All I can say is it has been unreal! 4 inch swim baits with half once jig head. Colors.... blue back with chartreuse sides and a clear amber with chartreuse tail.
Thanks Marty
Same here at Guntersville dam🎣🎣
Another good video,I would be nervous to never know what you will catch at the dam.
Thanks Chris
I appreciate it 🎣🎣
Awesome fishing Rocky, Do you think dropshot would work with live bait?
I do think it would work 🎣
Just getting that minnow in front of one and they gonna eat it 🎣🎣
I’m guessing you were below Guntersville Dam? I’m surprised there are no visible rock piles present like the areas below Wheeler and Wilson Dams have.
Yes sir
It was at Guntersville
It not a lot of rock like it is there
Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment 🎣🎣
