    Texas has a program called Share Lunker, 10+ # bass are kept alive and turned into that program and they do their best to breed lunkers. I never participated because I never caught anything bigger than 8# but love the idea.

    Try adding duct tape around the perimeter of the net, next to the weights. It will stop the net from starting to close up prior to the bottom and thus increase your catch of bait/ It is due to more square feet enclosed in the net by the weights. The deeper the bait the better it works. I didn't invent it, I saw it on Bluegabe fishing show.

    When I was growing up I lived over there in those apartments across the river. I've swam from one side to the other. And always enjoyed fishing in that general area. But I came to comment because you said threadfin shad. Man I tell you Charlie with tightline jigs has got a good threadfin shad chatterbait. I pair with a certain 8" zoom finesse worm, and tear them up. Thanks for the content.
    P.s. all y'all nasty people going fishing on the Tennessee River leaving your trash. Don't let me catch you.😅

    Back in 2014 I stuck one 13+lbs on a topwater frog back in Mudd Creek. I was going for a double digit on a bed and then an absolute unit come out of the thick lush grass and inhaled it. Wasn't long before she broke me off and I still get sick from it. That lake hasn't fished the same in a long time and all those bass in Mudd Creek are gone. All the fish are in the back of there. Its crazy how a place could be filled with more bass than you can shake a stick at but then all of sudden all of them are gone. I don't see nearly the fish in there like I did 10+yrs ago. You have any theories why that is?

    • @RockyDrakeOutdoors
      @RockyDrakeOutdoors  6 месяцев назад +1

      I’m sure it has something to do with the bait/food source available to the fish in that area. I have never fish that area. I hear about how great the fishing is or use to be in that area.
      I appreciate your comment and thank you for watching my channel 🎣

    • @ARCavingandOutdoors
      @ARCavingandOutdoors 6 месяцев назад

      @RockyDrakeOutdoors Thank you for responding. And yeah, I don't see all the bluegill, crappie, or baitfish in there anymore. I do know the wildlife management crew changed the creek up, damming it at the main spring in the very back. Doing some kind of project in the trails building a bridge over it. Now, the main spring runs out from a different source. And changed the creek a lot. Tight lines to you. Hope you catch a monster this year.
