Fire In The Hole is a steel enclosed roller coaster located at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, USA. The ride has a long electrically powered incline through several different animatronic scenes. This is then followed by a series of three drops with powered sections in between. While the powered sections are typical of a powered roller coaster and/or dark ride, it is three drops that allow this ride to be considered a roller coaster. Fire In The Hole was the first roller coaster in Silver Dollar City.
On February 13, 2023, Silver Dollar City announced the closure of Fire In The Hole, which will close at the end of the 2023 season.

That’s what I’m saying ⬛️
And the most iconic part about this ride...the smell! It's a classic ride and it sure smells like it too. A bit damp (from the nearly non existent water feature at the end), makes the cars smell like wet dog most of the time, but genuinely a crying shame to let this ride go.
prepare for an influx of gd players
Lobotomy ahh ride 🙂🙂🙂🕳️🔥
I’m glad I went on fire in the hole for the last time and I got a picture of the lobby sad to see it go
Just heard of that new version of Fire in The Hole that RMC will make next year. Glad to see they're paying homage to a classic like the original
That was one of those rides I grew up with when going to this theme park. It's unfortunate that they are closing down this ride after running for just a little over half a century since it opened. This one had quite some history to it.
Same, and it's a sad day in Branson. So many fond memories
@@TD75Thanks. Just edited my comment after what I heard from you. There’s an EDIT button if we need to self-correct or fix some typos.
Yes, we went in the 70's and 80's, there weren'tamy rides back then. It was definitely about the experience. Shepherd of the Hills was always a stop as well.
They are making a new one.
@@kansasgirl73 Yes, they’re building a new one. Thanks. Just checked their social media to confirm. It would be called Fire in the Hole 2.0 to be precise, built by RMC whom built the Outlaw Run that opened a decade ago, and so it’s within the Fireman’s Landing area hence the root word and theming; not to mention that area was once Geyser Gulch for 17 years from 1997 until 2014.

FIRE IN THE HOLE 🕳️ 🔥
FIRE IN THE HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLE
Are you sure you want to completely demolish Enclosed Coaster 1?
They are Announcing the New fire in the hole today!
A dreadful, irreversible mistake.
@@kevinbirge2130 they had to, it was near crashable fate since it was about 50 yrs old and running with water
@@medic_memer So you can still ride it just have to come to Tennessee
I Rode this back when Silver Dollar city had the worlds fair in 1982 I was 9 Treasured Memories.
So Very sad to see it go
Took my girlfriend who is my beautiful wife now on this here ride thinking it was tame like a disney story time ride. (She does NOT do coasters and is afraid of the dark.) Asked the operator if it was tame. He says “This is the tamest ride in the park.” Never been on this ride ever.
We get in and I am re assuring her the whole time (while being lulled into a false sense of security thinking this won’t be so bad… and then the drop happens. Nothing but screams and tears the whole way. Oh boy did I feel bad for that one. 😂😅
Glad for that memory, makes for a great story.
I go to SDC tmmrw. Very excited to be there. I'm gonna miss this ride so much.. 😭
Have Fun!! And Samee :(
Sameee!! I am going to SDC in two days! I'm sooo excited!! But I will miss this ride sooooo much too 😭😭😭
@@reginahenry4865 I went! The lines were really short because I went on a Monday. I rode it three times bc I knew I was gonna miss it. Have fun!! Eat some parmesan corn for me !
@@moonlght17 lol, okay I will!! thank you!! Oh so it's still there right now?
@@reginahenry4865 Lol, yes! It's there until the very end of 2023 :)
I rode on this ride with my sister. We were 13 and 15 at the time, screaming our heads off. It was amazing! When we went down the drops, we were air-born and I felt ny soul leave my body. I'm sad they are closing this down. It was a very fun ride!
I’m so sad that it’s closingggg our family is making sure to go and ride itt. :(
I love it’s sister coaster at Dollywood… blazing fury!!!
Is there a drop?
Lol I have never realized how similar fire in the hole and blazing fury are
Blazing fury was a clone of fire in the hole, same people who own Silver Dollar City own Dollywood
I will miss the original but can't wait to ride the new one next year.
Comments: Reminiscing nostalgically
Me, watching this from Europe and has never even been to the US: What a fun little coaster! I wanna go to Atlanta when the rebuild opens!
(Forget Disney, THIS is the type of American theme parks I actually wanna visit.)
It’s actually in Branson, Missouri USA at Silver Dollar City! 🙌🏾 It was classic but the new version would be same as OG😁
@@theatlantaenthusiast Oh neat! Thanks for the info! :D
Last day to ride was today
I got to ride it on the last day then they shut it down due to breaks getting hot.
(3:42) Canadian National 3254's iconic out-of-tune 5 Chime whistle.
This is like insurance saying
"Well we arent going to pay to have the 69 mustang your father left to you repared after the crash but what we will do is let you pick out a shiney new eco boost one. How does that sound!
I hear they are remodeling, but I also heard you can't film, so who knows , looks like a fun ride ❤️👍
Thanks 🙏👍 dudes 😄🤓!❤😂🎉😅😊 4:18
People fight to be in the first Seats while me and my mom Were able to get the first Seats several times Last time we went
But I don’t think rmc can change anything about it. Just a dark ride
Fire on the Mountain...remember you read it here first folks
The start right daddy…. Hold on to your baby girl
Why are they closing it down??? Such a classic ride…is it unsafe ?? Doesn’t make sense!!
From what i heard (Unconfirmed) The ride system is outdated and parts are very expensive/and hard to get. It’s NOT unsafe. It’s seems to be getting replaced with another coaster with huge new building in Firemen’s Landing.
Thanks for the update..hopefully they will make something similar and fun
They're also closing it because they feel that it's part of what's essential for the evolution of the park in the next 10 years. Part of evolution is death, so it's understandable.
This came from an interview online about the subject I'm pretty sure
@@theatlantaenthusiastrumors were confirmed
Hoooo💀
Stupid to close a classic ride like this. Remaking it across the park is stupid. People remember this.
Bluds straight up copied the blazing fury 💀
Copied??😭 Bro Fire in The Hole opened in 1972 and Blazing Fury opened in 1978☠️. Blazing Fury IS a copy of FNTH but it’s good tho😭
Oh damn oopsie 🗿
@QueefusSquintillionPringletons Lmao you good😅😂
Fire in the hole was the first indoor roller coaster ever made. And it had an actual story from actual history.
This ride moves fast…. For a dark
Ride.
