Stanley Park is unbelievable! Such a powerful piece of music, throws my body in pimples and puts my hairs on end every time. Not only does she have that devastatingly beautiful voice, but her songwriting is sensational!
Anthony Dacosta, you're amazing! The notes and sounds you choose are so damn right. Just sayin...and your vocals with Aoife are so well matched !!!! It's just right you guys please keep playing together!!!!
You make incredible, magic music together you three. You're magicians, and it feels great to hear your creations. Thank you so much. Always keep making such great music? Please? 😃👍❤
What a wonderful lady: no clothing expense, minimum make-up (a very good guitar however!..), just pure taste and talent. For sure, she must spend more time in her text writing than in T-shirts ironing; may it last for the years to come.
She has such a wonderful voice and I love her guitar playing, but it's softness is almost drowned out by the heavy electric guitar and drum use. I would love to hear acoustic versions, or at least toned down electric guitar and drums. Maybe it's just me. I only like acoustic music. That's why I didn't buy her album.
My friend and I saw Aoife here in Bristol, England on 1 February this year and she had these two male musicians with her on quite a small stage. I wasn't impressed with them at all as they drowned her vocals out, esp the drummer / percussionist. I much prefer her playing solo to be honest, as like Holly Keller said I tend to only like acoustic music. I also saw Aoife here back in April last year with Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz when they toured the UK under the 'I'm With Her Tour ' name and they were all excellent, all acoustic and Aoife was at her best I felt with them. Just my opinions of course so feel free to disagree.
Same here. I saw her on the Fossils tour and she had a band but they were in balance with her vocals. Saw her on the Magic Hour tour and the guitar was WAY too loud and the overall din of the music kept you from hearing her lyrics.
Confusing to see such a poor visual presentation done for a songwriter of O' Donovan's calibre. Styling, light, camerawork, editing, stage, all terrible. Footage not even being in focus. Fantastic songwriting and performance of the musicians, awful work by whoever did this video clip.
I lstened to a lot of her clips when she had a bass player, and often you could barely here him.Maybe they decided a bass was un necessary? Think theres a full enough sound there without personally
I normally would say so too, but frankly I don't miss much bass here. Anthony da Costa make subtle yet surprisingly effective use of octave processors.
Oh my, this might be my favorite thing she's done.... These musicians are the definition of tasteful. Amazing!
Such an angelic voice.
Her songwriting is peerless and this trio is magic.

you all sound great together
you've got a great band together there, terrific job of framing your tunes. fun!
Gorgeous, and love Anthony Dacosta on electric guitar
His playing is surely tastey! And his BG vocals are stellar, too.

Love her voice. Love the music her band is producing!
Beautiful song craft.
masterful.

She’s among my top vocalists/ performers
Good stuff. Some great guitar, this is.
Fantastic! Magic Hour has a different feel from other versions I've heard, love it.
Need to say this was nicely edited and smoothly put together. Thanks.
Cool, thanks!
When will that CD be available again (the double disk)?
Fantastic.
Excellent
Her voice/lyrics make me cry every time, no exceptions...but I keep coming back to this. Amazing.
Such beauty
I hope that one day Aoife O'Donovan will have my children. She's an earthbound Angel & I love her.
Best version of Hornets! Guitar is incredible.
Beyond sublime....❤️
Daym; that drummers bass drum and brush sound is killin' me.
Okay, let's talk about Anthony's harmonies. Ooo, exquisite!
She always sounds as good or even better live than on record right?
yes! I think that's a tell-tale sign of the real deal...
magic's back

This song has an emotional note much like 'Boulder to Birmingham".
I think Aoife likes (as do I) her freedom of not having a full on bass all the time. Got to mix it up or get board.
A freatless bass on this would have been georgious.

Get the deluxe version of her new album, it has an acoustic bonus disc I believe.

dunno, quite like this. sure she knows what she's getting with these guys. I do agree by herself she's wonderful...

Totally NO bass: sad & a pitty !!
Put on headphones and there will be enough bass
True! But still no bass,if you know what I mean.
